They opted out of the usual poses and generic locations and chose to strike poses and reenact iconic scenes from some of the biggest movies of the century, including Back to the Future, Ghost (who can forget that pottery scene?), Top Gun, Spider-Man (yes, Spidey and Mary Jane’s upside-down kiss again), Indiana Jones, Titanic, and more.

Ultimate Iron Man Armor is… Uhm… Ultimate

This is the Ultimate Iron Man cosplay that you have been waiting for fans. Even Tony Stark himself would be envious of this armor. I know I am and I am not a billionaire armor maker like Stark. Hey, why build it when you can buy it? Sadly, this armor is not for sale. However, it is still awesome.

This amazing Ultimate Iron Man armor is the work of Riccardo Montico aka Blacklink2811 from Italy’s Prizmatec Cosplay. It was handcrafted, which means that this guy is a genius. A real world Tony Stark. Also, he has the most awesome sister in the world, who happens to be dressed as War Machine on the right.

Next, Riccardo will probably make it fly, become a billionaire playboy and make some movies. He is already hanging out with War Machine, after all.

Kitty-Casso: For Cat Vinci and Felineangelo

Life gets a lot more interesting when there’s a cat around. Consider yourself lucky if you own a cat with a personality that’s as huge as that of Tardar Sauce’s (aka Grumpy Cat.) Even if you don’t, their demanding but endearing ways will soon melt down your walls and get to you.

As a result, cats have people making them all sorts of stuff, from iPad games for cats to the Cat Tunnel Sofa. Another thing to add to that list is Kitty-Casso.

In case it isn’t obvious enough to you, Kitty-Casso is a paint kit for cats. It contains five tubs of non-toxic acrylic paint, art paper, paint shields, one frame, and of course, a surprise toy for your cat.

Now I don’t think your kitty cat will know what you expect him to do after smearing his paws with paint, but hey, here’s to hoping that he’ll surprise you pleasantly and not make too big of a mess. And there’s always an outside chance he’ll create a masterpiece and you can sell it to a wealthy benefactor.

Kitty-Casso is available at Amazon for $19.95(USD). And dog owners, don’t feel left out – they also make Pup-Casso for your anipals.

Child’s Tombstone Shows Him Playing Pokémon

Redditor Paramorgue found an extraordinary tombstone in his hometown in Lund, Sweden. He says it’s dedicated to a boy who died when he was just five years old. The statue immortalizes the child enjoying perhaps what was one of his favorite pastimes: playing Pokémon.

In the statue, the child is holding a Game Boy Advance SP with a Graveler etched on the screen. The same Pokémon is also shown hiding under the Game Boy.

Rest in peace, kid. You can see a few more images of the tombstone on Paramorgue’s Imgur album.

DIY Skee Ball Machine: Great Balls of Fun

Skee Ball machines are a lot of fun. There is something just so satisfying in the act of rolling a ball and watching it bounce into a target. I played as much Skee Ball as I could when I was a kid. Everytime we went to an amusement park I spent the whole day playing. Good times.
skee ball 620x526magnify

So it’s no wonder that I love this project from instructables user fungus amungus. He loves Skee Ball as much as I do, so he jumped at the chance to make a DIY version. He had some help from the folks at Because We Can who did the design and fabrication of the machine on a Shopbot CNC machine.

It is made almost completely out of plywood. The score board is triggered by a bunch of optical sensors and controlled by an Arduino. He set it up to score more like an arcade game rather than your typical Skee Ball game. The top score so far is 7,777. With that sort of score, you’d think he’d have enough tickets to get the biggest stuffed bear behind the counter.

That’s No Soccer Ball, It’s a Death Star!

Since there’s no mention of soccer or any other sports in the Star Wars universe, I’m not sure it’s even still a thing in a galaxy far, far away. What I do know is that soccer/football is incredibly popular all around the world and this Death Star soccer ball is the perfect ball for Star Wars geeks looking to get out and get a bit of exercise.

Normally my daughter does pink soccer balls, but I think I could talk her into this Death Star Ball. The ball is a standard size 5 soccer ball and each of the little octagons is printed with the squares and lines we remember from the surface of the Death Star.

The ball was created for Celebration Europe II and there are some left over. You can purchase your own as long as the limited quantity holds out for $29.99(USD) at ThinkGeek. It’s worth noting that they’re sold out right now, but the Empire is working on getting some more shipped out soon.

Pac-Man Ghost Crocheted Throws Keep Your Wakka Wakka Warm

As the Starks used to say “Winter is Coming!” so you’d better start thinking about how you’re going to keep warm when Fall is over. You could freeze your bippy off, or you could cover it up with a ghost from Pac-Man.

These handmade crocheted blankets from AtomicBits are just the thing to give you a little added warmth as you cozy up on the couch in front of your shiny new PS4 or XBone this holiday season.

At a little over 2-feet-square, they’re actually a better size for a baby blanket, but you get the point. They still will look cool thrown on your bed or couch. Each one is made from anti-allergic Acrylic/Wool thread, and is perfect for any retro gaming fanatic. They’re currently available in red (Blinky) and orange (Clyde) versions, though I’m sure you could convince AtomicBits to make you an Inky, Pinky or blue ghost if you ask nicely.

E.T. LEGO Set Brings Back the 80s

I think one of the coolest things LEGO has ever done was to launch the LEGO Cuusoo website. This is the place where you can go to vote on DIY LEGO builds that could eventually become kits you can actually go to the store and purchase. Last time we talked about this was when the Goonies LEGO set turned up on the website.

This time out it’s another 80s childhood favorite of mine with an E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial LEGO kit complete with flying bicycle and little brown alien.

lego e t set 3 620x346magnify

The guy behind the LEGO kit says it would have about 575 pieces, including the medical van, Elliott’s house, hooded scientists, Gertie, Michael, and a pack of Reese’s Pieces. There’s even E.T.’s Speak and Spell and Elliott’s bicycle, complete with a basket for E.T. to take flight in.

The kit is up on the Cuusso site right now if you’d like to vote for it. If it happens to make it through to the next round, we might be able to buy one down at the local Walmart someday.

Stick Your Head in the Clouds of ‘Cloud Pink’

Has anyone ever told you that you’ve always got your head in the clouds? Daydreaming isn’t a bad thing because it stimulates your imagination, just as long as you don’t lose sight of reality.

If people stopped dreaming, they’d stop thinking outside of the box and unusually amazing art installations like Cloud Pink wouldn’t come to be.

Clour Art InstallationUsing fabric and digitally imposed images of clouds, Korean creative agency Everyware’s Cloud Pink installation gives people the chance to “touch” clouds and literally stick their heads into them.

The best thing about the installation is that it allows visitors to actually interact with it. The projected clouds can be manipulated by touch, so you can move and generate clouds on its digital canvas. Check it out in action in the video below:

“Talking” Tauntaun Stuffed Animal Will Keep You Warm at Night

The Tauntaun was the best way to get around the frigid surface of the ice planet Hoth. It was also the place to keep warm if you were hypothermic, assuming you have a friend with a lightsaber ready to cut the beast open. ThinkGeek has a cute little Tauntaun plush that you don’t have to gut to keep you comfy at bedtime.

tauntaun 1magnify

The little stuffed animal looks like a cuter cartoon version than the rather ugly horned animal Luke rode in The Empire Strikes Back. When you squeeze the stuffed animal it makes authentic sounding noises that you’ll recognize from the film. You know, things like “RRREREOREROOERRRRR….”

The plush toys were made for Star Wars Celebration Europe II, and carry that name on the foot. Each one measures 12-inches toes to ears and 15-inches nose to tail.

tauntaun 2magnify

ThinkGeek says that these are very limited edition and once they’re gone, no more will be produced. So put on your warmest winter garb and head over there now to pick up your own stuffed Tauntaun for $29.99(USD).

I wonder if you could install a zipper into its chest and stick your Luke Skywalker action figure inside.
