Lego Watch System for Adults: Blockin’ and Clockin’

LEGO toys aren’t just for kids so it makes sense that LEGO watches wouldn’t be just for kids either. The company has introduced a line of watches specifically for adults. The LEGO watch collection for men and women will be launched in November and be called the LEGO Watch System.

The watches are completely customizable with the ability to swap bracelets, bezels and watch faces. So basically they will be just as fun as LEGO sets. Some of the watch models include: LEGO happiness, LEGO Skull and LEGO brick skull.

Some watches have day/date combination, chronograph, and calendar. The Lego watches will come in digital and analog models in a wide variety of color options. Some watches in the collection are made of plastic body and some are made partially from aluminum or steel.

The watches are water resistant from 50 meters to 100 meters depending on the model you pick, and they will sell for $85-$185 (USD). Hit A Blog to Watch for more shots of these cool watches.

Fingerless Mittens with Spiky Scales: Glove Puppet

These neat knitted mittens by Etsy seller HotScones add +2 to warmth and +5 to charisma. They’re made of alpaca fleece and wool. Probably from a wool dragon. I see a lot of potential in this. Instead of settling for a generic dragon or dinosaur look, why not go for a specific item? We can have Wolverine mittens, Omni-tool mittens, PIP-Boy mittens…

Ryu mittens, Kazuya Mishima mittens, Infinity Gauntlet mittens…

Shin Megami Tensei gauntlet mittens, Mega Buster mittens, Power Glove mittens… the possibilities are endless. You can order the HotScones’ mittens from her Etsy shop for around $43 (USD) to $48 per pair. Unfortunately the green ones shown here are sold out as of this writing. Even more unfortunate, my awesome ideas for mittens don’t exist yet.

Ultimate Iron Man Armor is… Uhm… Ultimate

This is the Ultimate Iron Man cosplay that you have been waiting for fans. Even Tony Stark himself would be envious of this armor. I know I am and I am not a billionaire armor maker like Stark. Hey, why build it when you can buy it? Sadly, this armor is not for sale. However, it is still awesome.

This amazing Ultimate Iron Man armor is the work of Riccardo Montico aka Blacklink2811 from Italy’s Prizmatec Cosplay. It was handcrafted, which means that this guy is a genius. A real world Tony Stark. Also, he has the most awesome sister in the world, who happens to be dressed as War Machine on the right.

Next, Riccardo will probably make it fly, become a billionaire playboy and make some movies. He is already hanging out with War Machine, after all.

Map of Hyrule Skirt: Princess Zelda Gets a Modern Makeover

What do you get the geek girl who has everything? How about this cute Hyrule skirt, featuring a map of Hyrule from the original Legend of Zelda all over it? The video game nerd in me finds this very sexy on a woman.

Tikker: The Wristwatch That Counts Down Your Life

We’re all living on borrowed time. Those on their deathbeds would kill to have just one more hour or one more minute or even just one more second to breathe the air and see the world before leaving it forever. So the big question for everyone who’s still here, alive and breathing, is: are you making every second count?

Sometimes, the obligations of life make some people forget what it means to live. Instead, they just exist – and as some say, that’s worse than death. There to remind everyone that the end is coming – and that they should live their lives to the fullest, instead – is Tikker.

tikker watch 1 620x409magnify

Tikker is a wristwatch that’s unlike any other. Aside from showing you what time it is, it also counts down the time you have left before you croak. Of course, the watch can’t predict exactly when you’ll die. Instead, your “expiration date” is set after you fill out a questionnaire and deduct your current age from the results.

Creator Fredrik Colting drew inspiration for Ticker from his grandfather’s death, explaining: “It made me think about death and the transience of life, and I realized that nothing matters when you are dead. Instead what matters is what we do when we are alive.”

There’s wisdom in his words. If you agree and would like to support Ticker, then make a pledge to back the project. You can get your very own Tikker watch by making a pledge of at least $39(USD) over on Kickstarter.

Iron Man Suit Hoodie has War Machine’s Color and a T-shirt’s Material

We’ve already seen official Iron Man hoodies, but if you want something more unique – to the extent that copies can be described as unique – check out this cotton hoodie made by Catherine Kim aka Iamknight. It’s not in Shellhead’s trademark colors, but I think that’s a good thing. It’s a lot easier to find clothes and shoes that match a black hoodie than a red and gold one.

As with Kim’s other armor-themed hoodies, the mask of this hoodie is detachable. Kim said that the hoodie is a mix of different versions of the Iron Man armor. She said that she copied the abdomen and elbows of the Mk. VIII armor and combined that with the chest and shoulders of the Mk. VII armor.

You can order the Iron Man suit hoodie from Kim’s Etsy shop for $450 (USD). That’s Tony Stark pricing right there.

Breaking Bald: Hyper-Realistic Walter White Mask

Looking for a one of a kind Breaking Bad collectible? How about this incredibly realistic Walter White mask that was once worn by Bryan Cranston? This mask first showed up when Bryan Cranston wore it at the 2013 Comic-Con and walked among the unsuspecting crowd. He then revealed the disguise on stage at the Breaking Bad panel.

Then later it showed up on all of the talk shows, even Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where Fallon wore the mask and interviewed Bryan Cranston as Walter White. At one point musician/actor Common put on the mask too. The mask was signed by Cranston and returned to the artist after that. Now you can own one and do whatever you want with it.

It’s great for Halloween, making your own fan movies, scaring people, or just staring in the mirror telling yourself that you are the one who knocks. The eBay auction ends tonight and right now it is at a whopping $41,300.00(USD).

Zelda Triforce Ring Seals the Deal

This isn’t the first Legend of Zelda ring that someone used to seal the deal, and it probably won’t be the last. This particular one was created by Paul Michael Design and features three special stones set in the middle, forming the Triforce.

triforce wedding ring 620x620magnify

Three bands seemingly emerge from the middle of it, snaking around its wearer’s finger as a symbol of eternal love. But that’s just my interpretation.

On a side note, I wonder if the person who’s holding the ring intentionally muddied his finger before the photo was taken. Was he trying to channel Link, who we presume has dirty digits because of all the stuff he has to do in order to save Zelda? Nope. It’s just proof that the jeweler works hard to create such awesome stuff.

All the Hats in Team Fortress 2 in One Image: Hats off to the Artist

Artist and webcomic creator Ashley Lange embarked on the challenge of a lifetime and emerged victorious. She drew all of the hats in Team Fortress 2 in one image. She didn’t include the hatless headgear and the miscellaneous items that can be considered hats, but honestly not even Gabe Newell can complain about her madness. I mean dedication. Thanks to Ashley, when the iPhone 9 comes out TF2 fans will already have a wallpaper for it.

every hat in team fortress 2 by ashley langemagnify

Ashley used Photoshop CS3 and a Cintiq pen display to create the drawing. She almost gave up on the project because Valve kept coming up with new hats as she was working on the drawing. Fortunately she outpaced the company. The video below is a time-lapse of her drawing; the hatness madness starts at around 3:30.

For her next feat, perhaps Ashley should draw Gordon Freeman. Fighting all of Suikoden’s 108 Stars of Destiny. Who each have all of the Pokémon. Which are each wearing all of the Team Fortress 2 hats.

Star Wars Opening Crawl Dress: Does This Text Make Me Look Fat?

The Star Wars opening crawl. It changed movies and the world forever. To this day I perk up when I hear John Williams title theme, just like a geeky trained dog. That text changed the lives of many humans. And now I present the Star Wars opening crawl dress.

It was spotted by the folks at Her Universe. You might also notice that it has a matching purse and a Death Star hat with a TIE Fighter. This Dragon Con attendee did an amazing job on it. One has to wonder how many marriage proposals she got that day.

Too bad girls can’t buy one for themselves. It looks awesome.
