Get a Sauna Anytime, Anywhere with the Sauna Suit

Not everyone has the luxury of going to the spa at least once a week for some much-needed pampering and sweat time at the sauna. If you’re a girl or guy who wishes you could go sweat it out at the sauna more often, then a portable and practical solution (although we give no assurances that it works) is the Sauna Suit.

With this thing, what you see is really what you’ll get. It’s a suit fashioned from heavy-duty PVC material that makes sure that you sweat it out, regardless of what you’re doing.

Mop the floor, dust the windows, bake a cake, make dinner, do all the chores you need to do while losing all that excess water weight in the process. Just make sure you don’t overdo it, for your own health’s sake.

The Sauna Suit is available from Amazon, and costs between $10 and $26(USD) depending on the model.

Touch Skin OLED Watch Concept Changes Faces on Demand

Touch Skin is a new concept watch designed by Niels Astrup that fits in with your existing plethora of gadgets. It’s a minimal watch with a touch-sensitive screen which allows you to customize the overall look thanks to its flat OLED display.

The Touch Skin watch would connect to your computer or smartphone via Bluetooth, and let you download new skins or designs for the display. You would also be able to design your own using the Touch Skin App.

Like other watches that light up using LED or OLEDs, the Touch Skin needs to be activated by a touch to display the time – presumably to save on battery.

The watch would adjusts its time automatically, via radio, and the design calls for it to be charged wirelessly via the gift box it comes packaged in.

The Touch Skin watch is just a concept right now but it will hopefully enter production at some point in the future. For now, you’ll just have to settle for your iPod nano.

Schwings Give Your Shoes Wings, But Not the Ability to Fly

I think people go through a phase in life where all they start wishing for the impossible. Like X-ray vision or an actual cloak that’ll make people invisible. Or maybe even a super power, like being able to read minds or fly.

It is with this premise that I introduce to you… Scwhings!

Shwings Shoe WingsIf you haven’t figured it out by now, Schwings is a mashed-up word for shoe wings. Now they won’t give anyone the ability to fly, nor will they make your shoes levitate or flit around your room once they’re fastened on.

However, they will dress up your kicks in a fancy and silly way. It might appeal to some, it might look ridiculous to others. If you belong to the first group of people, then you can head on over to Perpetual Kid to check them out, where they’re priced at $5.99 (USD) a pair.

Lumi Process Lets You Print on Fabric – Using Sunlight!

If you’ve ever tried to do tie-dye projects, then you know they can be messy and exhausting if you’re not careful. Plus, the results are unpredictable, so sometimes you can end up with neat threads while you might get some blah-looking patterns for all the other times. As an alternative, there’s Inkodye.

Lumi InkodyeThe entire thing is based on the Lumi process, which makes use of the Inkodye. Inkodyes are mixable, dilutable, and water-based dyes which develop their color under the sunlight. Its makers mean for people to use its light-sensitive properties to their advantage to create artistic prints and even transfer photographic images onto fabric.

The project is currently up for funding on Kickstarter. For a minimum pledge of $35 (USD), you can get a complete Inkodye starter kit that contains everything you need to start dyeing.

Flatulence Deodorizer Pads Take the Stink Out of Your Farts (but Look Hella Uncomfortable)

Most farts stink, and that’s a fact of life. I have yet to meet someone who has pleasant-smelling farts, because the closest thing to “pleasant” are farts that have no smell.

The worst fart I’ve encountered is the silent but deadly type. You know, the ones that are released without a sound, but smell like someone just crapped in their pants? Yeah, you’ve probably smelled at least a few of these in your lifetime.

Flatulence deodorizer
If you’re guilty of unleashing a few of your own stinky bad boys to the world yourself to much embarrassment, then you might want to pick up a couple of these flatulence deodorizer pads. They’re supposed to go inside your underwear and not outside of it, as the image above suggests. While you might not feel comfortable placing a pad on your butt, you might want to reserve use for it only during moments when you can’t afford to stink up the place.

The secret to the pads is that they’re embedded with activated charcoal. I can’t vouch for its effectivity, although you might want to try them out if you’re known for extremely stinky flatulence.

These Flat-D pads are available from Colonial Medical for $29.95 for a box of 10. And no, we’re not joking. They really do exist.

Volt Buckle Gadget Charger is a Literal Utility Belt

If you thought the computer mouse belt buckle was a huge hit, then you’ll probably be interested in the Volt Buckle. It’s equally quirky but it’s a hundred times more practical because you can actually use it to charge your iPhone or any USB connective device.

Volt Buckle1Basically, what you see is what you get: a belt buckle with a plug integrated into the buckle. Just fold out the plug part, plug in your device, and find an outlet to plug it in to start charging up your device on the go.

At this point, it’s still a design because the people behind it need $60,000 in funding to turn the Volt Buckles into a reality. If you want to support the project, you can head on over to Volt Buckle’s page on IndieGoGo. A minimum contribution of $50(USD) will get you your very own silver buckle should the project be funded.
