Star Wars Rebel Alliance & Galactic Empire Lollipops: The Sweet Side of the Force

Suck it Rebel Alliance. Suck it Imperial Empire. I mean that in the nicest way possible. As in, each group can now suck on these awesome lollipops. These intergalactic suckers were created by Priscilla Briggs of Designer Lollipop. The Star Wars universe just got sweeter.

Priscilla has created this neat set of Star Wars-themed Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire insignia lollipops that look too good to eat. You can purchase them from her Etsy store at the link above for $16(USD) for a set of six lollies.

It’s worth looking around in her shop, she has other many great looking lollipops. Even Death Stars, R2-D2s and Stormtroopers. They really look great. I’m not sure how she gets such nice detail. Of course, that’s why she is making candy and I am not.

KFC Japan Offers Fried Soup: Finger Burnin’ Good!

Japan is home to many great things. But it’s also the place that brought us phone cases that look like sushi, and a wearable biometric cat tail. And now, they have come up with deep fried soup.

kentucky fried soup

Yes, you heard that right. At KFC locations in Japan, they are now offering a corn soup that has been deep fried and turned into delicious soup nuggets. While they probably taste like corn fritters, the fact that they’re filled with scalding hot soup can’t be a good idea.

Game Controller Cookies: Press A to eAt

I’ve really been trying to avoid carbs lately, but I keep falling off the wagon. Now that I’ve seen these cookies shaped like game controllers, I’m really screwed. I’m not only off the wagon, but under its wheels for these sugary treats.

game controller cookies

These beautiful gamer cookies come in the shape of a Wii-mote, PS3 Dual Shock and Xbox 360 controllers. They’re made by Peapod’s Cookies and perfectly capture every detail of the actual controllers.

Of course, all this cookie artistry comes at a price. The set of 12 controllers shown here will set you back $52(USD). That’s over $4 per cookie. Still, that’s cheaper than a single A-list title for either the Xbox 360 or PS3, and way tastier. Way better than those invisible Kinect cookies I ate last night.

Pizza Box Airplane: Fly Pepperoni Airlines

This airplane is guaranteed to crash within a half hour or less, or your money back. Here’s the story. Darren Lewis and Phil Reilly built this awesome and surprisingly functional remote-controlled airplane out of an old Dominos Pizza box.

pizza plane

Well, a pizza box, an RC controller and $35 worth of parts. It even has an actuated rudder and ailerons. Pay attention Dominos. This is how I want my pizza delivered next time. It flies surprisingly well. It is actually a thing of beauty. But maybe that’s because I’m really hungry right now.

It proves that pizza box technology should be applied to aviation right away. Maybe it could shoot some breadstick missiles.

Doctor Who Cake with Edible Characters

We’ve seen plenty of Doctor Who cakes over the years, but how many have edible characters standing around waiting to enter your mouth as they travel through time and space to your stomach?
Doctor Who cake
Well, this cake has just that. Edible characters. There’s the Doctor, Rory, Amy, some Weeping Angels, Daleks and a Cyberman. Not to mention the centerpiece, a lovely, tasty TARDIS.

This cake was made by JB Cada and Stephanie Santos of The Regali Kitchen. It’s a Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. Sounds even more delicious on the inside.

Ford Makes Fiesta More Appetizing with a Bacon Wrap

Two of my favorite things in all the world are cars and bacon. I think bacon is the reason God put pigs on earth and the man who invented bacon should be immortalized on Mount Rushmore. I also happen to think that the Ford Fiesta is one of the least attractive cars on the market.

However, I do like bacon and Ford has announced some custom bacon graphics specifically for the 2014 Fiesta. The most bacontastic of the wraps is the one you see in the image above – showing 12 salty and crispy slices of bacon spread all around the car. That is a somewhat over the top representation of your love for salty pork in my book.

Ford does have a few other bacon graphics that you can add to your car if you’re looking for something a little more subtle. My favorite are the bacon racing stripes, a pair of bacon strips that you can place on the hood of your Fiesta that resemble classic dual racing stripes.

Ford also offers the side of bacon graphics with two individual strips of bacon wrapped over the rear wheels. Ford created these bacon themed wraps in celebration of International Bacon Day. Yes, that is the official holiday for bacon, which happens on August 31 each year.

Doctor Who Toast Plush: Toasty-Woasty

Forget Jelly Babies. Forget fish fingers and custard. And please, let’s forget the Doctor pinning celery to his jacket. Toast. That’s the new Timelord’s favorite food. Hopefully the 12th Doctor will love toast. But if he doesn’t, here is a piece of plush toast dressed like the 11th Doctor.

timey wimey toast

You could call this incarnation of the Doctor crusty – even crumbly. It comes from Deviantartist chaoticteapot, who loves a helping of Timelord toast for breakfast. You’ll notice that he has the attire just right, right down to the fez. Best of all, this toasty doctor can be yours for just $28 (USD) over on Etsy.

Now for some reason I want to see his companions as breakfast foods. All on a TARDIS-shaped plate. But that’s just me.

Bacon Coffin: You Are (Buried in) What You Eat

Do you love bacon? To death? You and your arteries might want to invest in this awesome bacon coffin. Who says you can’t take it with you? Let it wrap your cold dead corpse in smoky delicious bacon.

This $3000(USD) coffin is made from gasketed steel and decorated to look like a mouth-watering slice of bacon. Now you can spend eternity surrounded by your favorite food. Sadly, you won’t smell like bacon. You will smell nasty. Maybe they should include a bacon air freshener for the inside. Just to complete the package. Oh wait. They do.

Watercolor Cookies Look Like They Belong in an Art Museum

These watercolor cookies are a masterpiece in themselves. In fact, they look so pretty and artsy that it almost seems like you’re committing a crime against art if you take even one bite out of them.

The cookies look like they’re difficult to make, but they’re really not.

Painting Cookies

One Charming Party shares how you can make your own Watercolor Cookies on their blog. All you’ll need is a rectangular cookie cutter, some marshmallow fondant, and a whole lot of food coloring and you’re ready to start making your own edible, cookie masterpieces.
