Do you feel like having some delicious cookies today? Since I’m going with the assumption that everyone wants to do good inherently, then you might want to reach for your phone every time you want a cookie – just make sure you install the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app first.

As the name implies, it’s an app that helps you track down locations and dates that Girl Scouts will be selling cookies, by you can get your fill of the delicious treats. You’ll also find the app useful if you’re the gifting type, because you can just give away these boxes of cookie goodness to friends and family, and the happiness will be two-fold: the recipients will be happy to get some sweet treats, and the Girl Scouts will be ever-so-thankful for your support.

Since there are a couple of different companies that produce Girl Scout cookies, you’ll want to go with the official Girl Scout cookie app, which covers them all.

Firefly is one of those classic TV shows that was sadly canceled way too soon. If you are a fan of the series and a fan of fresh, tasty cookies, check this out. ThinkGeek has a set of four Firefly Cookie Cutters.

The series of four cookie cutters goes for $19.99(USD) and includes Mal’s pistol, Jayne’s hat, a browncoat patch, and of course Serenity itself. These are sure to make you the hit of your next cosplay party.

ThinkGeek warns that the cookie cutters work best with a dough recipe that doesn’t rise when cooked. If your dough rises, all the lines that the cutters stamp into the dough will disappear, you would end up with a blob of dough that doesn’t look like what you want – or maybe it’ll turn out looking like a Reaver.

You have no shortage of pizza choices. In your area alone, you probably have several hundred pizza shops. Well, Pizza Hut has a plan to get you in the door and leave those others behind.

This proof-of-concept interactive table was created in partnership with Chaotic Moon Studios. It lets you visualize your order as you are designing it. You can pick your crust, select your sauce and cheese; then add toppings like chicken, pepperoni or whatever you want. Then you can choose cheese sticks, Spicy Asian wings or Hershey’s Chocolate Dunkers. Once your order is complete, you can pay by placing an NFC compatible smartphone on the tabletop.

It is basically the same way you order from them online already, just in a more interactive form. The chain is no doubt hoping that this entices more customers and speeds up orders. Oh, and while you wait for your pizza, you can play some Angry Birds.

No, Americans are not fatter than ever. It’s not like we need our homes to smell like food. It’s not like we need Cinnabon Air Fresheners or anything… Wait. What? Yes, they actually exist, presumably to make us so hungry that we get in the car on a mission to find some.

Air Wick’s Cinnabon-scented air fresheners will fill your home with the scent of “one-of-a-kind cinnamon and cream cheese frosting that make Cinnabon cinnamon rolls so unforgettable.” There goes your diet right? I don’t know about you, but I don’t need spray can to make me crave delicious junk food. I want that all on my own.

However, if you have to make your home smell like a bakery – without baking these – now you know that this is a thing.

I’m sure that you have been sitting in the office or at home, at some point and decided to order up some take out for lunch. The problem with many eateries at lunch time is that they are so busy you end up waiting forever for someone to pick up the phone, only to be greeted by a harried worker that often messes up your order. That’s where Square Pickup comes in.

Square Pickup is an app that is currently in development for iOS and Android devices. The app allows any restaurant that participates in Square payments to enable their entire menu to be ordered and paid for directly from the app. The upside for the restaurant is that no one has to take an order. The upside for the person ordering is that they can choose what they want and pay without having to wait for someone to pick up the phone. The orderer also doesn’t have to wait to checkout since they pay with the app, all they need to do is get their bag and walk out.

There are other services out there that offer similar capabilities – like GrubHub – but so many restaurants are already using Square for payments now that this could be a good alternative.

The app is currently in a limited preview mode, so you’ll have to wait before you can use it unless you’re fortunate enough to have received an invitation code.
