This Ghostbusters Fanatic Built a Perfect Replica of Their HQ

If you thought you were a big fan of Bill Murray movies, you’ve got nothing on one Italian fan who’s built an impossibly perfect replica of the basement of the Ghostbusters’ firehall headquarters. More »

LEGO Ghostbusters Headquarters: Something Strange in Your LEGOhood

This Ghostbusters headquarters was recreated in LEGO by Orion Pax and it is amazingly detailed. As you can see, it has all of the rooms, including the fireman’s pole for LEGO figures to slide down. And yes, Ecto 1 is inside there as well.

This thing is so intricate, there is even fake food in the kitchen. One room has a Staypuft Marshmallow Man poster on the wall. The rooms even have LEGO radiators for fake heating.

I could talk all day about the amazing details in this HQ, but you should really hit the link and check out some more images. It is the coolest thing you will see all day.

Mario and Luigi as Ghostbusters: Who Ya Gonna Call?

I think we finally have a worthy idea for the next Ghostbusters film, based on this work of fine geek art. Imagine Mario and Luigi Ghostbusting and saving Peach from Boo in the haunted castle.

This awesome painting is the work of artist joehavasy who makes all kinds of cool geek art. Being a fan of both Super Mario games and Ghostbusters, this mash-up makes complete sense to me – and I for one, would love to see a live-action version of this painting on the big screen. It took over a month to paint and measures 20 x 30″. It’s painted on a piece of birch wood with a wooden frame backing it.

The beam of light was painted with a fluorescent paint that even gives off a glow in darker rooms and Boo’s tongue has some gloss medium on it so that it actually looks wet as well. This painting will cost you $1,200(USD). That’s a whole lot of gold coins, but I still think it’s totally worth it.

Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man Bank Could Never Ever Possibly Destroy Your Money

I tried to think of the most harmless thing. Something I loved from my childhood. Something that could never ever possibly destroy us…

This Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man is not here to demolish your city – in fact he’s here to help you save money, so you can start rebuilding it.

stay puft piggy bank

This 20-inch-tall (51cm) Stay-Puft piggy bank isn’t quite as tall as the one in Ghostbusters, but it is big enough to hold plenty of loose change and to stop around on your model railroad set. It’s actually not the first Stay-Puft bank ever made, but it’s substantially taller than the previous model, and when you’re dealing with marshmallow men, bigger is always better.

The Stay-Puft piggy bank is coming from Japan’s Blister Direct in May 2013, and will sell for ¥ 9,800 (~$119 USD). So start filling your current piggy bank now, so you can order this awesome new one to replace it with.

Neon Ghostbusters Sign, Who Ya Gonna Call? an Electrician

Best neon sign ever? Probably. Then again, I’m just a sucker for cool Ghostbusters stuff. Just don’t cross the streams or else the neon in these tubes might explode.

Fans will see at once that this neon sign recreates the Ghostbusters movie poster, but what you may not know is that this sign can be found in the window of a Mexican restaurant called Touche Hombre in Melbourne, Australia. Random, no?

I love that a kick-ass Ghostbusters sign like this can be found at a Mexican restaurant in Australia. That is so awesome! It’s things like this that make geeks travel the world. I wonder how many other establishments have signs like this. Thank you internet. I am well traveled, yet rested.
