Real Life Mario Kart Coming Soon

If you have ever wanted a real life Mario Kart, we have some great news for you. You will be able to buy one very soon. This is a “full size” 6V ride-on Mario Kart, ready for you to climb onto it and let some turtle shells fly.

This sweet kart is due out later this year. It looks pretty awesome. Plus it also makes several power-up/weapon sound effects. Cool. Bring plenty of bananas and turtle shells. It’s gonna be a wild ride.

Hopefully you can fit your big butt on this, because it is targeted primarily at kids after all. Leaner adults should have no problem taking it for a spin though.

These guys really should get together with the guys at Razor though:

This real life version of a Mario Kart cart is all I want in my life

I don’t want much. A bed to sleep on, a nice pair of shoes, some beer to drink and I’m good. Or so I thought. Now I could care less about any of that because all I want in my life is this drifting Crazy Cart XL. It’s basically the real life version of the cart in Mario Kart.

LEGO Go-Kart 2: Those Daring Young MOCs in Their Jaunty Jalopies

Simon Burfield should get in touch with Eric Steenstra so they can have a LEGO go-kart race. Burfield used 16 Power Functions XL motors, 8 Power Functions battery packs and 20 Exo-Force wheels to make his life-size go-kart.

It looks less sturdy than Steenstra’s bulky build, but it can carry an adult, as you’ll see in the video below.

I wonder what its top speed is. It probably has, like, 350 MyLittlePonyPower.

LEGO Go-kart is Not for Minifigs

We’ve seen a few vehicles made out of LEGO before, but those were either tiny, non-functioning or had non-LEGO parts. Which is why Eric Steenstra’s go-kart trumps them all. It’s life-sized, it runs, it can carry a driver and most of all it’s made from nothing but LEGO products.

See for yourself:

It’s obviously a work in progress – note the lack of steering – but even if it never goes faster than that I still think Steenstra deserves all the slowclap.gifs on the Internet. Amazing.
