God Of War Collection Arriving For The PS Vita

God Of War Collection Arriving For The PS VitaThe God of War franchise has been pretty much a staple when it comes to games exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation platform, a franchise which we’re sure made many gamers take out their wallets and purses to purchase a PlayStation console or a PS Vita handheld console just for the game specifically (much like how Titanfall helped boost Xbox One sales).

That being said, the good news for PS Vita gamers is that Sony has recently announced that the God of War Collection will be making its way onto the PS Vita in the coming weeks and will be available for purchase starting on the 6th of May. For those unfamiliar with the God of War Collection, this bundle will include the original God of War and God of War II.

The God of War Collection will also be priced at $29.99 which is also the same price as the bundle meant for the PlayStation 3. If you have completed either game but would like to relive some of the more classic moments on the game on your PS Vita, then this is a title you’ll want to keep an eye out for, so mark your calendars for the 6th of May if you want to get your hands on it!

Kratos’ Blades Of Chaos Recreated In Real Life

By now we’re sure many of you guys are familiar with Tony Swatton’s work. For those who aren’t, Swatton has a YouTube channel called Man At Arms where he builds replica weapons, and from time to time we have seen Swatton create weapons based on video games. We have seen him create the Orcish battle axe from Skyrim, a Keyblade replica from Kingdom Hearts, and even the Minecraft Diamond Sword. Well it looks like Tony Swatton is back and this time he has created the Blades of Chaos from the God of War franchise. Unfortunately Swatton has only made one sword when in fact Kratos wields two, but we suppose it could be time consuming to make two blades which is perfectly excusable.

As with his previous Man At Arms episodes, Swatton goes through the process of forging the blade, starting from its design all the way down to the finer details, after which he takes the finished product and tests its prowess by cutting stuff up with it. For God of War fans, this is one episode you don’t want to miss, so if you have a few minutes to spare, you should definitely check this one out! So gamers, if you had to choose, which weapon from which game would you like to see Tony Swatton attempt to do next?

God of War: Ascension 1.0.4 Update Raises Level Cap, Spartan-Kicks Bugs

The latest 1.0.3 update for God of War: Ascension was released just a little over a week ago and Sony Santa Monica is already talking about upcoming changes planned for its 1.0.4 update.

One of the first big changes planned for God of War: Ascension’s 1.0.4 update will raise the level cap of the game’s multiplayer mode from 30 to 40 for each God allegiance. In addition to those 10 additional levels, Sony Santa Monica will also introduce a new item, two new relics and an ultimate magic for every allegiance. (more…)

God of War: Ascension 1.03 Update Released

God of War: Ascension 1.03 Update ReleasedWell, we did bring you news on God of War: Ascension sometime last week, and here we are with yet more news that has to do with this best selling title. In fact, there is a legion of champions out there, who have spent plenty of time recently to help out Kratos in his latest single-player journey. With the release of the latest 1.03 update that has been deployed today, it would hopefully help you enjoy the title even more. Do not judge an update by its size – it might be small here, but at least you will be able to gain an added support line at the Trial of Archimedes, in addition to enhancements made to multiplayer customization with a new appearance feature for your Champion, where the development team has called them “Marks”.

The 1.03 update would see the end of each elevator stage have players pick up a measured amount of green health orbs, in addition to a nominal amount of blue magic orbs. It does not matter just which difficulty level did you select to complete it, all are affected, and hopefully in the course of doing so, will address feedback concerning “Trial of Archimedes” while ensuring the level of challenge is preserved.

God of War: Ascension Digital Downloads Coming Next Week

God of War: Ascension Digital Downloads Coming Next WeekYes, we did talk about God of War: Ascension being released most recently, and if you are one who is fond of the entire unboxing process, and love to read stuff like manuals and admire the box art on a game, then by all means go ahead and pick up the physical copy of the game. For some folks out there, going digital is the way forward, and that would also include your collection of music as well as movies, not to mention the other branch of entertainment – games.

SCE Europe’s Jawad Ashraf, in response to questions on the European PlayStation Blog‘s regular update, did confirm that God of War: Ascension will see its digital launch happening next week, and from the horse’s mouth, “God of War should be by next week.” Of course, do bear in mind that what he said need not necessarily hold true for those of us living in North America, but you can always keep your fingers crossed and hope that the digital copy of God of War: Ascension will arrive next week worldwide.

    God of War: Ascension Arrives

God of War: Ascension ArrivesWhoever said that waiting is torture? They might be right, but on the other hand, good things do come to those who wait – such as the God of War: Ascension title, of course. God of War: Ascension has finally been released in North America today, where it is the result of 2 years of work by the God of War team at Santa Monica Studio. Touted to be the most gorgeous looking, best playing, and most compelling entry to date in the God of War franchise, you will see a different side to Kratos, not to mention multiplayer capability that would give this game extra legs long after you have defeated all there is to defeat.

There are different multiplayer modes in Ascension, where among them include the recently revealed 2-player cooperative Trial of the Gods. Not only that, you can also be on the receiving end of an early demo of The Last of Us with each retail copy of God of War: Ascension purchased as an added incentive. How will you spend your weekend? Surely everything else is secondary when you have God of War: Ascension running on your PS3…

God of War Ascension PS3 Bundle Flows Red with the Blood of Sparta

I’ve been hanging on to my original fat, shiny, backwards-compatible PlayStation 3 in anticipation of the eventual release of the PS4 – but I might just have to run out and buy this newly-announced bundle when it comes out anyhow.

    god of war ascension ps3

The God of War Ascension Legacy PS3 Bundle includes the new garnet red super-slim PS3 we mentioned a couple of weeks back, along with a large 500GB hard drive, and six God of War games. Heck, I didn’t even know there were six God of War games. Of course, Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta were PSP games, so I’m not expecting them to look stellar on the PS3, but you will still get the classic God of War I through III and the shiny new God of War: Ascension, due out this March.

    god of war legacy bundle

The entire bundle will sell for $349(USD), and you can pre-order it now over at the PlayStation website or on Amazon. Note that the vertical stand shown is not included. Cheap bastards.
