God of War: Ascension 1.0.4 Update Raises Level Cap, Spartan-Kicks Bugs

The latest 1.0.3 update for God of War: Ascension was released just a little over a week ago and Sony Santa Monica is already talking about upcoming changes planned for its 1.0.4 update.

One of the first big changes planned for God of War: Ascension’s 1.0.4 update will raise the level cap of the game’s multiplayer mode from 30 to 40 for each God allegiance. In addition to those 10 additional levels, Sony Santa Monica will also introduce a new item, two new relics and an ultimate magic for every allegiance. (more…)

God of War: Ascension bundle comes with Garnet Red PS3

What is your first memory or experience with the God of War series? I don’t suppose it is a “love it or hate it” case with this kind of hack-and-slash title, and there is a visceral sense about it, too. Having said that, I did enjoy the game a whole lot, and my personal favorite is the one on the PSP – don’t ask me why, I am just rather partial to gaming on the mobile front more than using a home video game console. Having said that, fans of the God of War franchise will be pleased to hear that God of War: Ascension’s arrival at stores this coming March 12th will be commemorated with the introduction of a limited edition God of War: Ascension Legacy Bundle just in case you have not yet, for some strange reason or another, picked up a PS3 console after all these years.

If you happen to have $349 to spare, then you would be pleased to hear that this is how much the God of War: Ascension limited edition bundle will cost you. For starters, there will be a 500GB Garnet Red PlayStation 3 system packed inside, coupled with the whole God of War storyline that will include the new God of War: Ascension and of course, the God of War Saga (which comprises of all five of the previous games from the franchise). The good news does not end there as well though, as you will be on the receiving end of a 30-day PlayStation Plus trial membership.

The complete God of War game collection will definitely roll back the years for some of you fans out there, as you can relive your favorite series moments with the God of War Saga, which comprises of God of War, God of War II, God of War III, and God of War: Origins Collection, which consists of God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta.

God of War: Ascension Live Action Trailer Has Us Feeling Kratos’ Pain And Suffering

It seems Sony has been having quite the time teasing gamers this week as they teased a possible God of War announcement to be revealed today and something PlayStation related to be revealed on February 20th. We’re nowhere near February 20th, but today, we do get to find out what exactly Sony had planned for February 1st, or “Game Day” as they called it.

The big reveal is a new God of War: Ascension live-action trailer called “From Ashes.” The trailer literally gave me chills when I first watched it as any God of War fan knows what exactly happens for Kratos to earn the ashes that cover his entire body.

In God of War: Ascension, we’ll take a look at Kratos before his memorable journey through God of War 1-3 when he was just a simple soldier. Sony teases that Ascension players will experience the pain and loss Kratos experienced and today’s live-action trailer certainly sets the stage for the experience.

The Last Of Us Demo Will Be Available Early To God Of War: Ascension Owners

The Last Of Us Demo Will Be Available Early To God Of War: Ascension Owners

One of my highly anticipated games of 2013 is Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us. I’ve seen enough footage and screenshots to know that I will be buying this game as soon as it’s released on May 7th. In fact, the sooner I get my hands on something related to The Last of Us, the happier I’ll be, which is why I was pretty stoked to hear Sony’s news regarding a demo for the game.

Sony announced there will be a demo for The Last of Us available some time before the game’s release on May 7th. PlayStation 3 owners who pick up God of War: Ascension will be able to get their hands on the demo before anyone else as Sony is giving those customers priority over everyone else.

The God of War: Ascension disc will serve as a gateway to access the demo once it’s released sometime before the release of The Last of Us. Once the demo becomes available, which we’ll be sure to report once it does, God of War: Ascension owners would need to pop in your discs, make your way to “The Last of Us” listing in the main menu, and then select it to access the demo.

New God of War: Ascension trailer launched

We’re sure that many gamers out there are looking forward to God of War: Ascension. Well the good news is that a new trailer for the game has been revealed, along with a feature called Rise of the Warrior, which according to Sony is a social experience on GodofWar.com in which players will be able to live our their warrior’s journey in a graphic-novel style. Sounds pretty interesting and if you’re looking to get in on the beta action of the multiplayer aspect of the game, Sony has announced that this will be available to Playstation Plus subscribers and will be able to go hands on with the feature. In any case more information can be found on the PlayStation blog, but in the meantime you can check out the latest trailer for God of War: Ascension in the video above!
