TokyoFlash Kisai RPM Gold Watch Looks Like Something Tony Stark Would Wear

At first glance, this watch might look like a timepiece from the Iron Man franchise, but it’s not. It’s actually the TokyoFlash Kisai RPM gold watch. Like most TokyoFlash timepieces, it’ll require a bit of time and practice before its wearer will actually be able to read the time off of it. Once you get the hang of it, I have no doubt that telling the time will get easier.

When the watch is off, it looks sleek and polished with its blank face and curved, smoked lens. When it’s on, lights illuminate to indicate what time it is: the inner ring displays the current hour, while the outer ring shows the minutes, with each brick divided in five-minute intervals.

The watch also has a neat light-up animation where the LED lights spin around the display at fifteen-minute intervals from six in the evening until midnight. As is the case with many of TokyoFlash’s watches, this one is USB rechargeable.

The TokyoFlask Kisai RPM Gold Watch is available for $189(USD).

Terrifying Facts About the World’s Deepest Gold Mine

Terrifying Facts About the World's Deepest Gold Mine

Oh, the things humans will do to get their grubby hands on gold—a metal mostly prized for its ornamental use, hoarded in bank vaults and jewelry boxes, though we’ve arbitrarily decided it’s worth, uh, its weight in gold.* The deepest gold mine in the world is Mponeng, a 2.5-mile hole in the ground in South Africa. A whole underground citylightless and lawlesslives inside the mine.

This 24-Karat Gold Xbox One Is On Sale in Harrods for $10,000

Gold is so this season—and quite festive, too—so if you’re short of gift ideas, how about a 24-karat gold-plated Xbox One? On sale at Harrods in London, UK, it’ll set you back a cool $10,000.

24K Gold-plated Xbox One Hits Harrods

Everything looks better in gold – at least if your last name is Trump. The latest product to get the shiny gold treatment? The already shiny new Xbox One.

This 24-karat gold-plated Xbox One was spotted by Redditor SirSyhn at Harrod’s department store in London.  As you can see from the picture, it’s selling for a whopping £6,000 (~$9,774 USD), which is enough to buy almost 20 ordinary Xbox Ones – or 24 PS4s and a few games. It better include a golden Kinect and golden controller for that price.

I’m really not sure who this is designed for. If you’ve got more money than you know what to do with, you’d want a solid gold Xbox One, not just a gold-plated one. And that would sell for about $6.4 million at today’s gold prices. Now, that’s more like it.

Nothing says ‘war is hell’ like a $2,500 gold-leaf Battlefield 4 print

With the Battlefield 4 Premium add-on, EA’s letting you score a dozen goodie-laden golden battlepacks for about $50 without, you know, earning them. But any plebe can do that, right Sedgwick? What you really need to flaunt your gamer cachet is a limited edition BF4 battlepack print from purveyors Cook & Becker priced at a mere $2,500. It was created from a high-res render by EA DICE studio artists and made with 24-carat gold leaf and gold paint in a tiny run of 10 copies. Outrageous? Sure, but at least you’d be going in with eyes wide open.

HTC reveals another gold-colored One, this time without the 18-carat finish

It seems a limited edition 18 carat gold One just isn’t enough for HTC. Today, the Taiwanese smartphone maker unveiled another golden variant of its Android flagship, swapping the soft and expensive exterior of its MOBO-themed One for a familiar aluminum chassis. We first saw the front half of HTC’s latest variant in September, suggesting the company would make a fifth color available alongside its silver, black, blue and red designs. As for specs, there’s no change internally, which means it’s still powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 processor and features the same 4-megapixel UltraPixel sensor. The latest variant does come late to the game, with Apple’s gold iPhone 5s enjoying huge demand and Samsung launching the Galaxy S 4 gold edition, albeit in limited markets. HTC says the device will be available across Europe with a number of partners — when we hear more, we’ll let you know.

Gold Dragon BMW with Yak Bones: Uglier Than Justin Bieber’s Chrome Fisker Karma

So how can you customize a BMW in a really unusual way? Well, if you have a graveyard full of yak bones, you can just apply them all to the car and make it into a flying beast.

This dragon BMW Z4 was on display at the recent China Import and Export Fair in the Guangdong province. It is gold underneath and all of the rest of it is cut mountain yak bone. Yakkity yak…give my bones back!

I bet those yaks have a bone or three to pick with the builder of this car. Why is the dog chewing on the car again? The decor on this BMW is a real bone-nus. Is that the new XBone? Sorry, I’ll stop.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Metallic Flake Nintendo 64 Casemod: Twilight Prince

Link isn’t known for being flashy or even stylish, but fans still associate him and his series with bling, thanks to Nintendo’s tradition of releasing gold cartridges and systems for The Legend of Zelda games. The talented console modder Zoki64 and his customer steal that trick from Nintendo and then some by making a sparkly Ocarina of Time-themed Nintendo 64.

Zoki64 gave the console a metal flake finish, causing it to twinkle in direct light like an angsty vampire.

Zoki64 also made a more subdued gold Zelda casemod but with a Famicom console. Check that out and the rest of his eye-popping work on his deviantART page.
