There are three speeds to choose from, and you can even choose from dry or wet mist thanks to a twist of a dial to suit your cooling preferences. Ride On Golf Cart Scooter makes life easy for golfers

ride-on-golf-cartI know that some folks take up golfing as a sport in order to lose some weight and beef up their fitness stats, but something tells me that it is not going to burn all that many calories as opposed to a more vigorous activity such as swimming, running or cycling. Well, golf has also been associated as a sport that has relatively high entry costs, making it a “rich man’s game” if you will. Hence, it is a no-brainer for us to come across this $4,500 Ride On Golf Cart Scooter.

The Ride On Golf Cart Scooter so happens to be a powered golf cart scooter which is capable of transporting golfers from one point to another, allowing them to conserve energy for their game. The scooter itself sports a couple of 400-watt electric hub motors in the rear wheels which will propel the unit up to a top speed of 11 mph, and you will be able to make a turn simply by shifting your weight in the direction that you would like to go, pretty much like how a Segway operates. The handlebars will feature a forward throttle, reverse button, and a brake lever that would do its bit in slowing you down to a stop via the dual disk brakes. It is capable of climbing up to a 20° incline without breaking a sweat, and you ought to find it comfortable enough to ride on thanks to its oil-damped shock absorbers and four pneumatic tires. There should be enough battery life to last all 27 holes.

The Golf Cart Hovercraft: Not Your Father’s Hovercraft – Your Grandfather’s Hovercraft

When I think of hovercraft, I think of James Bond on a military ride that hovers fast and zips all over the place – not a golf cart. Perhaps this is what retired spies drive on the weekend.

The hover golf cart is powered by a 65hp twin-cylinder Hirth engine and its nine-blade axial-flow ducted fan propels the craft up to 45 mph and 9 inches off the ground. It will carry four passengers and two golf bags. This thing will let you golf in style while you are complaining about your aching hip and young people. Here’s some footage of PGA golfer Bubba Watson taking his hovercart for a spin:

Pretty sweet. If you like what this thing has to offer, it can be yours for $58,000(USD) over at Hammacher Schlemmer. Now you just have to find a golf course that is okay with it.

When we first saw the BW1 golf cart hovercraft, it’s fair to say we were excited. But now — if you’ve got burdensome disposable income — you can buy one for yourself. If you’re willing to drop the requisite $58,000, you can cruise the fairway (not to mention the rough and water obstacles) in a BW1 of your very own. It comes complete with a 65-hp twin-cylinder Hirth engine and a streamlined, sound minimizing fan that promises enough power to reach 45 mph and ferry two golfers plus caddies between holes. So, it may not be for those still improving their technique, but for the swinger that’s got everything, it’s the perfect ride for your trip to the floating golf course.

Golf Cart Hovercraft

Golf is not a cheap hobby or sport, at least relatively speaking. First of all, there is the issue of membership fees at a golf club of your choice, and obviously the more exclusive it is, the more expensive it will be! When it comes to equipment and the choice of clothing, golf too, would edge out other sports like say, chess, table tennis, swimming, and even running, and with that, the cost would also be a whole lot more for golf. I guess if you really want to be extravagant about the sport (while getting the approval from your other half along the way, of course), then you would not mind forking out the dough for this $58,000 Golf Cart Hovercraft.

Yes sir, you read that right. The Golf Cart Hovercraft is one golf cart that you would most probably not see anywhere else, as it glide over sand traps and water hazards without batting an eyelid, doing so on a cushion of air – and it will also traverse just as easily over fairways and the rough. What powers the Golf Cart Hovercraft would be a 65-hp twin-cylinder Hirth engine, with a nine-blade axial-flow ducted fan that propels the craft to speeds of up to 45 mph and 9″ off the ground, ensuring that the greens (and other small animals) will not be harmed. Heck, this is good enough to cross a pond or stream, too.

200hp Golf Cart Reaches 100mph

Even with their speed limiters disabled, stock golf carts are pretty slow, much like the game of golf itself. How fast can one go? Maybe 25mph if it’s all tricked out. On the other hand, this custom made golf cart powered by a 200hp Hayabusa engine can go as fast as 100mph.

hayabusa golf cart
This beast was built by Chris of Spring Hill, Florida. It has a four-cylinder engine from a 1999 Hayabusa motorcycle, and has bee upgraded with a speedometer and other gauges, as well as the fan and ignition switches from the Hayabusa. There’s also a six-speed gearbox and a chain-driven rear axle. Check it out in action below:

While it meets most of the criteria for being street legal in Florida, you’re still not allowed to drive over 25mph. Oh well. Still, Chris plans to custom build more Hayabusa carts for those who like golf carts, but want to enjoy life in the fast lane.
