It was just last week when Rockstar Games announced they would be making Grand Theft Auto Online players rich beyond their wildest hopes and dreams by giving a $500,000 GTA$ stimulus package as a way to thank their fans for putting up with the launch issues the service had in the first few weeks of its launch. Now that many of the issues behind Grand Theft Auto Online are behind us, Rockstar is announcing the first piece of DLC for the title will be available on November 19, called the Beach Bum DLC. Rockstar Rewarding Unique Selfies With GTA 5 #EpicPhotobomb Contest

Rockstar announced earlier today Grand Theft Auto V has shipped 29 million copies ever since it was first released last month, which is an extremely impressive amount considering the game has only been out for a little over a month. One feature of the game that surprised many players when they first started playing Grand Theft Auto V was the fact you could take selfies with the cellphones of in-game characters, resulting in many humorous images to be posted online. Rockstar realizes you all really enjoy this feature, and as a result has put together its first Snapmatic Photo Contest. (more…)

GTA 5 Patch 1.03 Available Today On PS3, Xbox 360

Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 5 has been expectedly receiving attention both good and bad ever since its release. Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 5 was released onto the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 just a few weeks ago with many reviewers and fans of the series agreeing it’s quite an offering from the company. One group that you wouldn’t expect to enjoy the game are moms, who we think would prefer to have the sex, drugs and violence of the game toned down a bit so their children can enjoy the game. As you’ll see from a segment that aired on Saturday Night Live this past weekend, it looks like moms can enjoy the game just as much as their teenage sons.

Saturday Night Live cast member Kate McKinnon played Pat Lynhart, a mother from Hartford, Connecticut who just so happens to share the same sentiment as the rest of us do about Grand Theft Auto 5: it’s friggin great. Lynhart’s review of Grand Theft Auto 5 is as over the top as the game itself, with the mom going off on how much more she enjoys playing the game than she does taking care of her children. Let’s just hope calling out Wei Cheng of the Triad clan doesn’t cost her the next time she plays Grand Theft Auto 5 since we know how tough his gang can be.

GTA 5 Players Attempting To Manipulate In Game Stock Market

Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 5 was just updated to allow for players to take part in Grand Theft Auto Online yesterday, although its launch didn’t go without a few hitches here and there. If you were one of the many who weren’t able to access Grand Theft Auto Online, then you were probably forced to spend your time buying and selling in-game stock as it looks like that seems to be a portion of the game many people are addicted to these days. GTA Online Hits Some Bumps in the Road

Grand Theft Auto V OnlineAccording to Take Two Interactive, Grand Theft Auto V was a huge success bringing in $1 billion in its first three days after launching, however some performance issues have hindered the recent launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, tied to this release. Grand Theft Auto Online is something new for Rockstar Games and will allow players to participate in many of the same activities that they would with the distributed game, but online in a “living world” with multiple players.

Reviewing Rockstar’s Twitter account, it appears there are multiple people reporting issues with access and performance to the online version of the game and Rockstar is getting back to them individually with a summary of what the problems are and what is being addressed. They are even offering an automated email to alert users when the identified items are addressed.

Grand Theft Auto Online will allow as many as 16 participants to embark on a number of adventures in sunny Los Santos and Blaine county. Activities including crime & chaos, individual or group jobs, races and sports such as golf and base jumping. There is also the ability to customize your character and earn cashflow and reputation. Rockstar also sets the expectation of some “growing pains” in the form of crashes, glitches and some amusing and crazy bugs as they work on this new platform.

iFruit Vinyl Skin Turns iPhone 5 into GTA 5 Phone

A couple of days ago we saw MobileFun’s sticker kit that makes an iPhone 5 look like an iPhone 5S, sorta. It turns out they have a sillier stick-on conversion kit for the iPhone 5. The iFruit vinyl skin is based on Rockstar Games’ eponymous companion app for Grand Theft Auto V. I bet they find this sticker hilarious.

Because the phones are about the same size, the vinyl should fit the iPhone 5s as well. You can order the iFruit skin from MobileFun for $13 (USD). Man, mocking oneself is expensive. To complete the transformation, change your phone’s wallpaper to one of the iFruit app’s backgrounds. Se7ensins forum member Tag 7s extracted the images from the app itself.
