This includes the San Andreas Kubrick Box Set that contains Carl “CJ” Johnson, Officer Tenpenny, Big Smoke, Ryder, and straight from “The Mothership,” The Truth.

GTA 5 Box Art Unveiled Highlighting All Three Lead Characters

GTA 5 Box Art Unveiled Highlighting All Three Lead Characters

We recently found out a mural was going up in New York City which we believe to be the official box art of Grand Theft Auto V. The mural was in the process of going up, but we can clearly see the words “Grand Theft” as well as the top of the “V” symbol in the unfinished art. It looks as though the unveiling of Grand Theft Auto V’s box art was going to be sooner than we thought as Rockstar Games has just released it to the public.

The GTA V box art Rockstar Games released today keeps the layout we all have come to expect from the box art of Grand Theft Auto games. “Grand Theft Auto V” is prominently displayed at the front of the image, while a number of visuals are seen behind and surrounding the title’s name. A helicopter shoot missiles, a Rottweiler barking ferociously and all three main characters showing up in different portions of the box art. This is the first game where multiple characters will play the lead role, so it’s good to see Rockstar fit them all in the game’s official box art.

GTA 5 Box Art To Be Unveiled Soon?

GTA 5 Box Art To Be Unveiled Soon?I am quite sure by now that there has been way too much buzz surrounding Grand Theft Auto V, that fans of the franchise, as well as those who have yet to give a single title in the hugely successful game franchise a go in the past and are willing to do so soon, cannot but wait impatiently for a release. After being treated to screenshots of GTA V which treated fans to different views of Los Santos, it seems that the box art of the game itself is being unveiled in a mural right smack in New York City itself.

The mural, as you can see above, is not fully up just yet, albeit it is partially available, but you can already see the GTA V logo clearly. Not only that, said mural seems to follow a similar multi-paned layout that can be found in previous GTA games’ box art. Originally, the box art was planned for a January release, but I guess plans do change from time to time, and if the game is superb because of changes made that caused a delay, I am all for it. How about you?

Frequent Release Of GTA Sequels Will “Degrade” The Franchise According To Executives

Frequent Release Of GTA Sequels Will Degrade The Franchise According To ExecutivesThere are developers out there who pump out sequels to their games frequently. In fact take a look at Ubisoft who released Assassin’s Creed 3 last year, only to follow up with Assassin’s Creed 4 this year. While there are pros and cons to such frequent releases, when it comes to the Grand Theft Auto franchise, you might be interested to learn that such frequent releases will not take place. According to Take Two’s COO, Karl Slatoff in an interview with Gamespot, he believes that by releasing games too frequently it will “degrade” the franchise. (more…)

Grand Theft Auto IV Mod Brings Toy Story’s Woody, Buzz To Liberty City

Grand Theft Auto V’s release date getting pushed back to September 2013 when it was originally expected to be released in Q1 2013 was quite the bummer. Sure – there are some amazing games to already look forward to in this month alone, but all of them would probably pale in comparison to GTA V. Until the game finally gets released this September, we guess all we could do is sit around and play GTA IV as Toy Story characters.

A new mod that’s available for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV removes that pesky Niko Bellic with a giant Woody doll that’s capable of performing iconic moves from the Street Fighter series as well as Skyrim. Oh, and did we mention he can also shoot gun and can be assisted by a posse of Buzz Lightyears? Yea – that, too. (more…)

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Hits PSN

psn vice city Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Hits PSNAs promised, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City has arrived over at the PlayStation Store as a download, where it will cost you $9.99 which will fall under the PS2 Classics collection. I am quite sure that those who will download it, the majority of them would have completed the game in the past on their PS2, and would want to take a romp down memory lane. In fact, the folks over at Sony were nice enough to create a map which originally packed in the game box available as a high resolution JPEG file for you to print out, simply because this is a digital format of the game. I am quite sure that after printing out this map, you would find it handy should you get lost in Little Havana.

Apart from that, those who are perfectionists might want to check out maps for GTA3 and San Andreas, as both of them can be downloaded from the PS Store to boot. This is truly an experience for you to rediscover your love for the franchise ten years back, and it will prove to the masses whether this game is able to stand the test of time or not.

Grand Theft Auto 5 Release Date Rumored For March Release

gta5 march Grand Theft Auto 5 Release Date Rumored For March ReleaseI am quite sure that the video game community is looking forward to one “guaranteed hit” title this year, and that would be Grand Theft Auto 5. There has been plenty of speculation concerning this title in recent times, but it must be noted that additional details of the game’s release date has just surfaced. Product-Reviews reported that in their correspondence with Microsoft over email, Grand Theft Auto 5 is tipped to hit the markets later this spring – which would be a weekend sometime at the end of March.

In fact, it is very possible that March 24th is going to be the precise date of release, where it will fall on a Sunday, making it the ideal release date since most folks would not be working then. Still, do bear in mind that this is a rumor, and nothing concrete has been decided just yet, so do stay tuned until we hear something official from the folks over at Rockstar. Whatever the case is, you might want to key in the last weekend of March in your calendar right now just in case Grand Theft Auto 5 hits the market then, at least you would have cleared up some space and time in advance.

Grand Theft Auto: RISE is Live-Action GTA Goodness

Some of the new live-action short films that have been surfacing for video game such as Halo 4 and made more than a few gamers ache for high-quality Hollywood content based on our favorite video games. I know the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn series made me very sad that Hollywood cancel the live-action Halo movie that was in the works.

gta rise

short film has surfaced based on the Grand Theft Auto series that uses live-action mixed with some slick computer-generated graphics. The short film was directed by Gevorg Karensky and looks exactly how you’d expect a real-world version of the video game to look.

The short shows GTA IV main character Niko Bellic on a thrilling mission to recover a smartphone. I’m really digging this live-action short, which you can check out above.

Live-action Grand Theft Auto movie looks pretty awesome

Given that the Grand Theft Auto franchise is essentially about stealing cars and fighting rival gangs, there have been plenty of movies that have been made based on that already. Then again we guess GTA fans won’t complain if a Hollywood studio decides to pick up the game and make a movie out of it, but how will it look like and what can we expect? While that remains to be seen, it looks like some fans of the franchise have put together a GTA-inspired movie and it is directed by Gevorg Karensky. It features Niko Bellic’s character and it basically simulates the game where the player receives instructions on their next mission. It’s extremely well-put together, action-packed and even comes with a car chase scene! While it seems like a live-action movie, there are some aspects of the game included in the film, such as the mini map, the gun used in the top right hand corner along with an ammo count, and name plates above the heads of people. Either way it’s pretty awesome and if you’ve got 6 minutes to spare, check it out in the video above.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City headed to mobile devices this Fall

If you’ve enjoyed playing Grand Theft Auto on your computer or your console, you were probably chuffed to learn that Rockstar made Grand Theft Auto 3 available for your mobile devices as well, giving gamers a similar gaming experience while on the go. Well the good news is that in celebration of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City’s 10th Anniversary (29th October), Rockstar has announced that they will be re-releasing the game for mobile platforms (iOS and Android) this Fall. According to the announcement:

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was originally released in October 2002 for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, just one year after its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto III, changed the gaming landscape forever with its combination of open-world freedom, humor and action in a living, breathing city. Vice City expanded upon the open world gameplay of Grand Theft Auto III, combined with nostalgia for the 1980s to create one of the true high points in the marriage of video games and mainstream pop culture, loved by hardcore gamers and casual players alike. The upcoming mobile version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City brings the full experience to mobile devices, featuring native high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms.

So specific date has been mentioned, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled all the same. Anyone else excited by this piece of news?
