We are more than pleased to bring you word that this particular title is now available for both the PS3 as well as PS4, consoles of two generations from Sony. Ground Zeroes will follow up on the events of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, as Big Boss infiltrates a military compound in Cuba on a mission to extract a couple of high-value targets before they are executed – and that could very well be the best prognosis for the targets. Ground Zeroes is the place where the initial story arc is established before it continues in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. I suppose you can think of Ground Zeroes as an appetizer prior to the main course.

Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes PS4 Mission Trailer Shown

What do we know about Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes so far? It was last year in September when the intro as well as gameplay video was first shown off to the world, before word arrived in April this year that this title will function as a prologue to The Phantom Pain, making sure that we are all on the same page when it comes to the game’s story and timeline. It was not too long ago, too, that we mentioned the fact that Ground Zeroes would be on the receiving end of exclusive PS3 and PS4 content, now how about that as an enticing lure for you to check out the game for yourself when it is available? To make sure that your appetite is whet even more, here we are with the Ground Zeroes mission trailer shown off in all of its PS4 glory.

It was revealed at the PlayStation All Access event last night that Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will arrive with an exclusive classic Solid Snake skin, while Hideo Kojima did show off a PlayStation-exclusive mission that is called “Deja Vu” in the teaser trailer that was mentioned earlier. It certainly brings back flashes of the first Metal Gear Solid on the PSOne all those years ago, doesn’t it? How apt then, is the name of this exclusive mission.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes Receive PS3 And PS4 Exclusive Content

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes Receive PS3 And PS4 Exclusive ContentGamers, listen up! If you are a huge fan of the Metal Gear Solid series, then you would be pleased to hear that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is set to arrive with content that will be exclusive to not only the PS3, but also on the next generation PS4 as well! Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will be a prologue that has been set a cool 9 years before The Phantom Pain, at least according to a snap from Kojima that depicted a display which shed more light about Ground Zeroes in greater detail. The text read, “Prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Takes place in 1975 after Peace Walker and nine years before The Phantom Pain. Multiple missions with central story mode and side-ops missions. Exclusive content for PlayStation platform.”

Unfortunately, Konami has not quite yet stepped forward to reveal whether PlayStation exclusive content for Ground Zeroes is confirmed, and neither have they dropped any more hints as to what kind of content will it carry. We do know that Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will launch on other gaming platforms as well, including the Xbox 360 and next generation Xbox One, but Sony console owners will have the edge in terms of value for money when spring 2014 arrives.
