MoDaCo.SWITCH For Galaxy S4 i9505 Beta Releases Tomorrow

There are two kinds of Android users. There are users who don’t worry about carrier bloatware and skins slapped on top of Google’s mobile OS. Then there are users who prefer the pure vanilla Android experience, opting to use the mobile OS just the way Google designed it. Users often root their devices and install custom ROMs to mimic pure Android experience, while some manufacturers release two editions of one smartphone to cater to both kinds of users. HTC One is a prime example, the Google Play Edition comes with pure Android, all other variants come with modified versions. The MoDaCo.SWITCH ROM eliminates the need for purchasing two devices for two experiences. Currently only available for HTC One, it has been announced today that MoDaCo.SWITCH for Samsung Galaxy S4 release in beta version tomorrow.

A funding campaign to bring this ROM over to Galaxy S4 started off last month, the £1,000 was soon achieved. The first beta of MoDaCo.SWITCH for Galaxy S4 model i9505 will be released tomorrow. The beta build is only being released to those who backed the funding campaign, there’s no reason to worry if you didn’t back the campaign. Once best testing is completed, the ROM will be released for everyone to download and use on their Samsung Galaxy S4. No word on how long the beta phase will last.

    Samsung GT-I9505 Confirmed?

05 samsung logo Samsung GT I9505 Confirmed? Now here is more dirt from Samsung, where some folks have peered into what the first firmware of the GT-I8190N (which happens to be the model number for the NFC-enabled Samsung Galaxy S3 mini), Samsung could very well be knee deep working on the Q range. If this were to be true, then it would certainly be a first from Samsung as we have never seen nor heard of the Q range before. Not only that, this first firmware has also more or less “confirmed” that the Samsung GT-I9505 is an Android device which would mean that the GT-I9505 in all probability is the next Galaxy flagship device, namely the Samsung Galaxy S4. What do you think of this bit of rumor? One thing’s for sure, we definitely are going to keep our eyes peeled to hear what other kind of news there is concerning the Samsung GT-I9505!

    Samsung GT-I9500/GT-I9505 could be a high-end Tizen/Android device

samsung logo 720w 640x337 Samsung GT I9500/GT I9505 could be a high end Tizen/Android deviceWe know that Samsung has picked up the Tizen project and could possibly be launching a Tizen-based device in the near future, and according to the folks at SamMobile, they are claiming to have gotten their hands on the first model numbers of an upcoming high-end Samsung device. These model numbers are the GT-I9500 and the GT-I9505, with the latter suspected of being the LTE version of the GT-I9500. Supposedly Samsung used the GT-I9500 for its Tizen-based handset, which if true could suggest that the South Korean company could be close to launching its flagship Tizen device. On the flipside SamMobile is also speculating that maybe Samsung has decided to change the model number of its upcoming Galaxy S device. We can’t confirm either of this at the moment, but they claim that Samsung is currently conducting software tests of both models. Considering that CES 2013 and MWC 2013 are around the corner, there is a chance that Samsung could be taking this opportunity to unveil said devices. Either that or they will be creating an event of their own in which they will be launching their new mobile products. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled, but what do you guys think? Are you more interested in a new Galaxy S device or would a Tizen-based handset be of greater interest?
