Samsung GT-N5110 passes through the FCC, leaves a Galaxy Note 8.0-size hole

Samsung GTN5110 passes through the FCC, matches Galaxy Note 80 rumors

Rumors (recently confirmed by company executives) have suggested Samsung would expand its lineup of stylus-packing mobile devices, and this GT-N5110 that just passed through the FCC fits the profile almost exactly. Sporting only WiFi and Bluetooth radios and described as a “personal tablet” it fits perfectly into the size hole between the existing Galaxy Note II and Galaxy Note 10.1 (check out a comparison of the dimensions after the break.)

The model number is also close to the Exynos 4 Quad powered GT-N5100 observed in benchmarks last month and another page in the document indicates it’s sporting a matching 1.6GHz CPU. Looking back further, SamMobile spotted a GT-N5100/GT-N5110 certified for DLNA service back in the fall. The diagram listed in the FCC also seems to confirm recent picture leaks that show a device with a center mounted rear camera that looks more like the hot-selling Note II and less like most larger tablets. Hit the source link to dig through the documents for yourself, or just wait for more information which should be revealed in time for MWC 2013.

Galaxy Note 8.0 Specs Supposedly Confirmed; Expected To Debut At MWC 2013 [Rumor]

Galaxy Note 8.0 Specs Supposedly Confirmed; Expected To Debut At MWC 2013 [Rumor]

We caught wind of what appeared to be a hint at the next Galaxy Note tablet, the Galaxy Note 8.0, earlier this morning using the code “Samsung GT-N5100.” It looks as though news of the Galaxy Note 8.0 isn’t over today as Samsung has confirmed some specifics about it to SamMobile.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is expected to come in two flavors: 3G + Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi only. Much of what we mentioned in our previous post seems to be confirmed as well as it’s expected to have an 8″ 1280 x 800 TFT (Super Clear LCD) display, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, and 16 / 32GB of internal flash memory with an additional microSD card slot.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 is expected to weigh around 330g, or 0.7 pounds, and its dimensions will be 211.3×136.3×7.95 mm. It’ll run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and will come with all of the wireless connections we’d expect from a tablet these days: Bluetooth version 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and GPS. One of the last specs mentioned was its battery, which the Galaxy Note 8.0 will come with a 4600 mAh battery.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 8.0 at Mobile World Congress next month in Barcelona, Spain. Lucky for you, dear reader, we’ll be attending and will be front row and center when Samsung makes their announcement.

Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N5100 possibly seen testing, may put quad Exynos in a small tablet

Samsung Galaxy Note GTN5100 possibly caught testing, may bring quad Exynos to small tablets

Feeling that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 could use some more grunt? There’s a chance you’ll get your wish. An unannounced Galaxy Note GT-N5100 has popped up in benchmark scores with what looks to be a 1.6GHz Exynos 4412, better known as the Exynos 4 Quad variant that’s used in the speedy Galaxy Note II. We don’t know that it’s a small tablet, but the 1,280 x 800 resolution matches that of the Galaxy Note 10.1 — it’s not very likely that Samsung wants to duplicate its recent design efforts. Whatever the dimensions, the testing shows that the slate is using Android 4.1.2, and it may be a cellular-equipped model with that “kona3g” codename. If the GT-N5100 is more than just a set of benchmarks, the real question may be when we’ll see it; there’s no guarantee of a tinier Galaxy Note in Las Vegas.

Samsung GT-N5100 spotted on GLBenchmarks

Samsung GT N5100 spotted on GLBenchmarksThe Samsung GT-N5100 is said to be a new 7” Samsung Galaxy Note device that the South Korean company is working on, and it looks like it has made another appearance in GLBenchmark tests. The results have revealed that the GT-N5100 will sport a display resolution of 1280×800, and a quad-core Exynos 4412 processor on board clocked at 1.6GHz and that it will run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box. It is unclear as to what this device might look like or when it will be launched, but given that CES 2013 and MWC 2013 are around the corner, we couldn’t think of a better time for Samsung to show off their new products. Unfortunately apart from those details, not much else is known about the GT-N5100 except that it is most likely of the Galaxy Note lineup. Given that a $99 ASUS Nexus tablet is the in the works and that Acer could be interested in a $99 Android tablet of their own, perhaps Samsung does not want to be left out either. We’ll keep our eyes peeled and since we will be on hand for both CES and MWC, be sure to check back with us then for the details and updates.

Samsung GT-N5100 benchmark sighting suggests a 7″ Galaxy Note could be in the works

With a 5.3”, 5.5” and a 10.1” series of Galaxy Notes under their belt, it wouldn’t be ludicrous to think that Samsung might be considering a 7” version as well. Thanks to a recently spotted benchmark, that may very well be the case. According to the NenaMark Benchmark, a certain Samsung GT-N5100 device was spotted which some have speculated could be a 7” Galaxy Note device. Based on the benchmark, the GT-N5100 is expected to feature a 720p HD display resolution, an Exynos 4412 quad-core processor under the hood clocked at 1.6GHz, a Mali-400MP GPU and it will run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

Assuming this version of the Galaxy Note will feature S-Pen support, it could appeal to customers who want a happy middle between a 10.1” tablet and a 5.5” phone. No word on if and when Samsung could be announcing this alleged 7” Galaxy Note, but with CES and MWC taking place early next year, an announcement at either event could be a possibility. What do you guys think? Would a 7” Galaxy Note be of interest to you?

Samsung GT-N5100 spotted, could be a 7.7″ Galaxy Note

It looks like Samsung might have another Galaxy Note device planned, this time of the 7.7” variety. This was revealed thanks to its model number, the GT-N5100, although the exact specifications of the device remain unknown. What we do know is that it will reportedly have a display resolution of 800×1280, and it will also be powered by a quad-core processor, a 1.6GHz Exynos 4412 chipset which is the same one that is used in the Galaxy Note 2. Assuming that is the case, it has been speculated that this alleged 7.7” Samsung Galaxy Note device will not be competing against the Nexus 7 or the Kindle Fire at least in terms of price. Another model, the GT-N5110 has also been spotted, suggesting that the previous model could be a WiFi-only model, while the latter could feature mobile connectivity. No word on when we can expect to learn more but we’ll keep our eyes peeled anyway, so stay tuned for updates!
