Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Trailer Recreated In GTA 5

Sometimes fans of games do a pretty good job at recreating the game, whether it be in another medium, creating a cosplay costume, filming a fanmade movie, and etc. For those who are fans of either (or possibly both) Grand Theft Auto V and Metal Gear Solid V, you might be interested to learn that a group of Japanese gamers have come together and re-created the entire Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s 10 minute trailer using Grand Theft Auto V. Grand Theft Auto V On PC, Xbox One And PS4 This June (Rumor)

Grand Theft Auto V On PC, Xbox One And PS4 This June (Rumor)Grand Theft Auto 5V has been a success by any measure, considering how this expensively assembled game has already shipped more than 32 million copies as of February this year ever since it rolled out in 2013. The thing is, this particular title did not make an appearance on the PC as well as the next generation consoles – the Xbox One from Microsoft and the Sony PS4. It does look like this situation is about to change, however, as TECH-NICK, who happens to be a manager of German retailer Saturn.de, did mention in a tweet that the release of Grand Theft Auto V for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 platforms are expected to arrive this coming June.

I am sure that those who already use the PC, Xbox One and Sony PS4 as their primary gaming platforms of choice would be more than pleased to hear this, and TECH-NICK did clarify later on in a different tweet that the release information happens to be a rumor, and nothing has been confirmed just yet. Hopefully the showfloor over at E3 will be able to shed more light on the situation as it kicks off later this June. I suppose there is nothing else for us to do other than to take this rumor with a grain of salt and play the waiting game.

GTA 5 For PC Beta Test Emails Are Fake And Contain Malware

GTA 5 For PC Beta Test Emails Are Fake And Contain MalwareGTA 5 was probably one of the biggest selling games of 2013, and rightfully so given that the franchise has managed to build up a pretty huge and loyal following over the years that it has been around.

However this time around, Rockstar did not mention anything about releasing GTA 5 for the PC, which is something they have typically done since the first GTA game. As it st ands Rockstar is still keeping mum on the topic of GTA 5 for the PC, but in the meantime it seems an email has been making its rounds which is basically a scam that gamers need to look out for. Skyfall Train Fight Scene Created In GTA 5

Skyfall is the latest James Bond film to have been released, and while it might not necessarily share the same tone or feel as its predecessors, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, it proved to be a hit amongst James Bond fans.

For those who have watched the movie, you guys might recall that at the start of the show, James Bond and Miss Moneypenny chase a bad guy through the streets before he hops onto a train. James Bond proceeds to follow him onto the train where they duke it out and so on. We won’t spoil it completely for those who have yet to watch it. (more…)

Mobster’s Daughter Alleges GTA 5 Used Her Story And Likeness Without Her Permission

Mobsters Daughter Alleges GTA 5 Used Her Story And Likeness Without Her PermissionGiven the high-profile nature of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto franchise, it is not surprising to find that there are many who are attempting to sue the developers. In the past we have heard claims of how some of the characters in the game are based on real people, like in the case of Lindsay Lohan who believed that the bikini-clad girl in Grand Theft Auto V was based on her likeness (it is not true, a different model was used for the likeness).

Well the latest lawsuit to land on the doorsteps of Rockstar comes from a daughter of the mobster responsible for bringing down John Gotti. Karen Gravano asserts that the character, Antonia Bottino, is based on her and her life story and she is suing Rockstar for using it without her permission. She is demanding $40 million in damages. Rockstar Developer Tweets Hint At GTA 5 For The PC

Rockstar Developer Tweets Hint At GTA 5 For The PCWhen will PC gamers get to play Grand Theft Auto 5 on their computers? By now it’s only a matter of when, not if, Rockstar will release the game onto the PC. After all to ignore an entire segment of gamers does not make sense, especially since previous GTA titles have been released onto the PC platform as well. We had heard rumors that the game could be getting ready for pre-order and it was even spotted on Amazon France and Germany’s website, so when exactly will we see the game? Well the reassuring news is that the game is being worked on, at least that was what was inferred thanks to a couple of tweets by John Diaz, a developer at Rockstar.

When asked about GTA 5 for the PC, Diaz replied, “Until they are ready for you guys to the level of quality that you guys expect and that we expect from ourselves. These views are my own.” Diaz also seemed to imply that a Mac version of the game could be in the works as well when he responded to a Mac gamer’s tweet by saying, “do believe there are hungry gamers on that platform. I wonder how many Mac users are also #GTA fans?” Make what you will of these tweets at the moment, but hopefully we will hear something soon.

Over 32 Million Copies Of Grand Theft Auto 5 Shipped

Over 32 Million Copies Of Grand Theft Auto 5 ShippedGrand Theft Auto 5, safe to say, was probably one of the more highly-anticipated games of 2013, given the popularity of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. The game has proven to be a huge success and according to earlier reports, the game managed to generate $800 million in sales on its first day alone, and now according to a report from Take Two, Rockstar’s parent company, they revealed that they have managed to ship over 32 million copies of Grand Theft Auto 5 as of the 31st of December 2013, which we have to say is pretty impressive. GTA 5 For PC Pre-Orders Could Begin This Friday [Rumor]

gta-5-patchGTA 5 for the PC, where have we heard that before? It has been long rumored and suggested that GTA 5 for the PC would be an eventuality, despite Rockstar claiming that they had nothing to share with regards to that, but given that previous GTA titles made their way onto the PC, it would make sense for Rockstar to eventually release GTA 5 on the PC as well. In fact it was just recently that Amazon listed the game on its website, although we’re not sure if this is because Amazon bought into the hype and rumors, or if they might know something we don’t. Looking to fuel the speculation is a report from Gamereactor Sweden who claims that Nordic retailer, Elgiganten, is expected to begin taking pre-orders for the game starting on the 31st of January 2014, this coming Friday.

The claim was apparently made by one of the managers at the store who chose to remain anonymous. Now it is possible that retailers are often informed ahead of time when they can start accepting pre-orders. After all publishers need to inform them if they wish for retailers to have enough copies of the game at launch, so it is possible that Elgiganten and other retailers such as Amazon could have been informed in advanced. Alternatively retailers can sometimes get ahead of themselves by preparing pages for games that have yet to be announced just to get ahead of the competition, but take it with a grain of salt for now as we won’t have to wait too long to find out if the rumors are true.

GTA 5 For PC Listed On Amazon France And Germany’s Websites

GTA 5 For PC Listed On Amazon France And Germanys WebsitesGiven the success and popularity of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5, we’re sure many PC gamers out there are just dying to get the game on their computers. Petitions have been signed and according to our previous report, references made to the PC version of the game have been sighted in bug reports. As to how accurate those earlier reports are remains to be seen, but it looks like Amazon seems to think that they are legit, or they know something we don’t, but it looks like both Amazon France and Germany have no qualms about listing GTA 5 for the PC on their websites.

Like we said it’s impossible to tell whether Amazon France/Germany are simply predicting that an announcement will be made and that their source of information is from the internet, just like the rest of us, or if they have known this for a while and have simply gotten ahead of themselves, but given Amazon’s size and reputation, the latter might not be a stretch of the imagination. Either way last we heard Rockstar had nothing to share regarding availability of GTA 5 for the PC, which is odd given that previous GTA games have been released for the PC, so the lack of PC support for GTA 5 is a little weird. In any case hopefully we will be hearing from Rockstar soon with an official announcement, hopefully, rather than a denial. What do you guys think? Does Amazon know more than they are letting on? Or are they simply speculating?

GTA 5 For PC Revealed In Alleged Bug Reports

GTA 5 For PC Revealed In Alleged Bug ReportsWhen GTA 5 was announced, the lack of PC support was surprising given that previous GTA games have been released on the PC along with console as well. Rockstar has not announced anything and claimed that they had nothing to share about GTA 5 for the PC for now, but that did not stop gamers from creating a petition which has since well-exceeded half a million signatures. It also did not do anything to stop the rumors from spreading that the PC version of GTA 5 would be released this year. Well the good news is that thanks to an alleged GTA 5 bug report from Rockstar (via PC Gamer), it seems that there have been several references to GTA 5 for the PC being made, suggesting that at the very least GTA 5 for the PC is being worked on.

The reports make references to the PC and mentions both 32 and 64-bit operating systems as well as note on DirectX 11. There’s no way of telling if these bug reports are the real deal, but at the same time we highly doubt Rockstar would cut off their PC gaming segment entirely either as it would no doubt alienate a ton of gamers who might not own consoles, or who would rather get the game for their PC instead. It has been speculated that the PC version of GTA 5 will see a release sometime in March, so hopefully that means it won’t be too long until we learn more about it. In the meantime who’s excited at GTA 5 for the PC?
