GTA 5 Street Date Reportedly Broken In The Middle East

It seems that over in the Middle East, games have a tendency to be released ahead of their intended schedule, and for one lucky gamer, he seems to have managed to get his hands on Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5 almost a week ahead of its release. The game has been pegged for a release on the 17th of September for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 but this guy claims to have bought the game ahead of time. He did not specify which retailer he bought it from, but based on the photos that he has posted, some are claiming that it is a legit purchase.

The video above basically shows us some of the goodies the guy got together with his game, and goes on to give examples of how some games such as the Call of Duty franchise and Metal Gear Solid 4 have been released before their street dates, so for some retailers to start offering up GTA 5 before the official date is not a complete surprise. In any case obviously Rockstar will not be too pleased about this, and hopefully some gamers who did get their hands on the game earlier than everyone else will have the decency not to post spoilers.

Well for those hoping that they wouldn’t run into a similar situation with Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5, you’re in luck as the Rockstar’s Dan Houser has stated that the game has an expected competition time of about 100 hours, which means that you’d have to play the game for a little over four days straight to complete it, with no breaks in between! GTA 5 Used Real Gangsters To Voice Gangsters In The Game

GTA 5 Used Real Gangsters To Voice Gangsters In The GameRockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5 is probably one of the most highly-anticipated games of 2013 and based on what we’ve seen, the game looks good and we imagine it will be quite hard for Rockstar to disappoint. However as they say, the devil is in the details, and that’s one of the things Rockstar really paid attention to because it seems that the gang members featured in the video game have actually been voiced by real life gangsters to add that touch of authenticity! GTA 5 Bravado Banshee Gets Real Life Treatment

GTA 5 Bravado Banshee Gets Real Life TreatmentDon’t you think that it is pretty cool whenever something from the world of video games end up as a real life object? Here we are with another example for you to look forward to, in one of the most anticipated games of the year, Grand Theft Auto 5, also known as GTA 5 in short. We are referring to a real life model of the Bravado Banshee that you can find in GTA 5, as engineers have successfully referenced the model and textures of the in-game car.

The Rockstar Games blog mentioned, “Significant work went into creating this real world version of the 2013 model featured in Grand Theft Auto V. Utilizing state-of-the-art fabrication technologies, molds for the exterior were cut and machined piece-by-piece for the high performance base vehicle. With these molds each panel was laid out by hand to create an entirely new exterior resulting in a screen accurate reproduction of the Banshee.”

It is through the use of referencing both model and textures of the in-game car that the interior was specially handcrafted and stitched together, in order to capture the look and feel of its cockpit. Both seats have been upholstered and embroidered with the Banshee name and insignia to add that extra level of realism.

GTA 5 To Get A New Trailer On August 29

GTA 5 To Get A New Trailer On August 29Grand Theft Auto 5, or rather, GTA 5 for short, looks more than ready to explode off the blocks despite some leaks from Sony that has left Rockstar Games affected negatively and ‘deeply disappointed’ because it would detract from the first time gaming experience of the new title due to spoilers. For those of you who cannot get enough about leaks and screenshots of the upcoming game, fret not – it seems that at 4pm UK time (that would be 11am Eastern time on August 29th) , Rockstar would drop a new trailer for GTA 5.

Rockstar did announce the timing on its website earlier this evening, where this particular new GTA 5 trailer will be shown as well on American TV when the upcoming episode of Breaking Bad happens later this Sunday, September 1st. In Rockstar’s very own words, “The Official Trailer for Grand Theft Auto V will debut here at the Rockstar Newswire and on the GTAV site this Thursday, August 29th at 11AM Eastern. Also look for it to debut on TV this Sunday night during Breaking Bad.”

It remains to be seen just what will be thrown into the trailer, although fans will definitely be able to look forward to a slew of (hopefully) new footage.

GTA 5 Microsoft Store Pre Orders Get $20 CouponI am quite sure that by now, you would have had heard of plenty of news concerning Grand Theft Auto 5, a title that is sure to be a hit by the time it arrives. In fact, there was also the rather unfortunate accident that Sony was involved in, leaking additional information concerning Grand Theft Auto 5 that would function as a spoiler which will definitely affect the gameplay as you would already know what to expect. Of course, Sony did apologize for their actions, but Rockstar shared their feelings that they are “deeply disappointed“. Hopefully, all of it is water under the bridge right now, and perhaps a little bit of good news here would be able to lift up your spirits for today. We have received word that folks who have placed a pre-order for Grand Theft Auto 5 for the Xbox 360 using the Microsoft Store will be on the receiving end of a coupon for 1,600 Microsoft Points (when converted, that would measure approximately $20 in value), at least that is what an entry for the game on the store’s site mentioned.

Pre-orders for Rockstar’s open-world game will be available for $59.99 a pop, and it will include free shipping to boot. Coupon codes will be sent to consumers via their respective email addresses, while you will have points added to your respective accounts as local currency whenever it is redeemed via the Xbox 360. Sony’s GTA 5 For PS4 Tweet Was A Typo

Sonys GTA 5 For PS4 Tweet Was A Typo

It was just the other day that Sony accidentally leaked (which they have since apologized for) some game files of Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5, and now it looks like Sony has once again caused some confusion and a bit of a PR mess for Rockstar by tweeting the wrong console. According to a tweet by Sony UK in response to a fan, “@mrxmas123 GTA V is going to be amazing, especially on the PS4! What other games are you looking forward to playing, Norman?”

Naturally this caused a bit of confusion not to mention excitement since GTA 5 has yet to be announced for next-gen consoles simply because the number of gamers using current-gen consoles is higher, thus the game would be able to reach out to a wider audience at launch. When Kotaku reached out to Rockstar to comment on the tweet, they claim that it was in fact a typo, and that Sony UK’s Twitter account was not directly related to Sony’s PlayStation division which might explain the confusion. In any case it appears to be a false alarm for now, so if you were excited about GTA 5 for next-gen consoles, we’re sorry for dashing your hopes!

GTA 5 Goes Gold, But Rockstar ‘Deeply Disappointed By Leaks And Spoilers’

GTA 5 Goes Gold, But Rockstar Deeply Disappointed By Leaks And SpoilersRight smack at noon today, we talked about how Sony apologized for the GTA 5 leak, but apparently an apology is able to patch a particular “wound”, although the hurt is still there as Rockstar seem to be feeling that at the moment as a company. Rockstar Games did announce, “We’re pleased to confirm that Grand Theft Auto V has officially gone gold and we’re now preparing the game for release on September 17th for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Unfortunately, as many of you may already know, some people who downloaded the digital pre-order of Grand Theft Auto V through the PlayStation Store in Europe were able to access certain GTAV assets leading to leaked information and media from the game appearing online. As you can imagine, we are deeply disappointed by leaks and spoilers being spread in advance of the game’s launch. GTAV represents years of hard work by many people across the world, and we all couldn’t be more excited to finally share it with you properly this September 17th.”

Do you think that a leak and some spoilers would change your perspective on the game, or will it stop you from purchasing it? I don’t think so, but it will definitely be able to detract from the feeling of playing a game for the first time without knowing what is in store for you. Rockstar did mention that they still have additional details to share about GTA 5 between now and its September 17th official release date.
