Guild Wars 2 Heroic Edition Announced

Guild Wars 2 Heroic Edition Announced

Heads up gamers, if you’re looking to pick up a new MMORPG, chances are you might have come across the Guild Wars 2 title. Given that the game was launched back in 2012, it is exactly a “new” title per se, but in case you haven’t played it, ArenaNet has announced the Guild Wars 2 Heroic Edition. This is basically the same game, except that for $50 not only will gamers be getting their hands on the game, but they are also able to get their hands on some digital perks that should make the leveling and overall gaming experience a little easier and better.

Like we said $50 will nab you the game, but at the same time the Heroic Edition will also come with One Legacy armor, an 18-slot Mithril Box that will allow you to carry more loot, along with 10 experience boosters that will help you level faster and catch up to your friends. Of course we expect that this Heroic Edition bundle will appeal to current Guild Wars 2 players who might be willing to drop the cash for these perks. In any case if you’d like to find out more about the Heroic Edition or check out the Deluxe Edition (which is the Heroic Edition with added bonuses), hit up the Guild Wars 2 websitefor the details.

Guild Wars 2 Content Update Arrives

gw2 update Guild Wars 2 Content Update ArrivesThere is a saying that goes like this – good things come to those who wait, and if you happen to be part of the latter category, then you will be pleased to hear that the long-awaited content update for Guild Wars 2 has arrived which will see the resolution of several exploits in addition to reworked dungeons that will surely get your blood pumping for more Guild Wars 2 action. Most of the major changes will target the PvP and PvE fronts, while classes themselves have also been on the receiving end of skill tweaks, with some of them being minimal while others are a whole lot more impactful.

Do bear in mind that when it comes to dungeons, you will no longer be able to perform the tactic known as graveyard rush, and if you happen to fall dead in combat, it would mean just that – you are still in combat. This will see some adjustments made to select bosses so that the entire situation is a whole lot more manageable. Not only that, folks who have had their fair share of exploit abuse will no longer be able to do so after the latest patch is applied.

Guild Wars 2 Clocks Up 3 Million Plus In Sales

guildwars2 3mil Guild Wars 2 Clocks Up 3 Million Plus In SalesGuild Wars 2 has been quite the performer when it comes to games, and this time around, we have word that this particular game has managed to chalk up over 3 million in total sales, and they sure as heck show no signs of slowing down. In fact, this bit of announcement came about from publisher ArenaNet, and the three million unit mark is definitely impressive considering how Guild Wars 2 was released just since August last year. In fact, it took just two weeks after the game’s release to rake in more than two million sales, now how about that?

ArenaNet has plans for Guild Wars 2 in the year ahead, and it does not matter whether you are a huge fan of PVP or PVE, ArenaNet has got your back. Basically, the whole premise would be to increase the ante for players to get out and about, to explore various parts of the world and play alongside their guilds. Not only that, ArenaNet will introduce a new currency system so that players have alternative means of unlocking certain items.

ArenaNet introduces character makeover options for Guild Wars 2

With the many hours MMO gamers spend on their characters, choosing the character’s name and looks is extremely important since they’ll be stuck with it. However we understand the tastes and preferences change over time, and much like how most of us look back at the email addresses and internet handles we used back when we were teenagers and cringe, we’re sure that there are Guild Wars 2 gamers out there who might have gotten a bit tired of how their character looks like. The good news is that ArenaNet has recognized that tastes change over time and has since introduced two new features that allow gamers to change the way their characters look.

Available through the Black Lion Trading Company, the Self-Style Hair Kit will set gamers back 250 gems, while the Total Makeover Kit will go for 350 gems although bulk discounts will be made available for both items. Unfortunately changing the name of your character isn’t available for now, but we guess this will be a more convenient way of changing the way your character looks, unless you’re in the mood and have the time to level a new character.

A few days ago we reported that The Lost Shores will be the next major Guild Wars 2 update that will be arriving on the 15th of November. Like we mentioned earlier, the update will kick off with an event that will supposedly change the world of Tyria, and thanks to ArenaNet, they have detailed the schedule of the event to make sure that gamers will be able to get in on the action. The Lost Shores will be the next Guild Wars 2 update

A couple of days ago we reported that one of the reasons why ArenaNet was not extending their Shadow of the Mad King Halloween event was because they had another major content updated planned for the 15th of November. Some of you guys asked us what the update would contain and now we have an answer for you. ArenaNet has revealed that the next major content update would be called The Lost Shores and while the exact nature of the update remains somewhat a mystery, we can only guess that it has something to do with the sea – at least based on what we can see in the image above. However based on the description, it seems that The Lost Shores will be a world event that will supposedly change Tyria forever.

This world event will be taking place on the weekend of the update’s launch and will introduce a new island for players to explore. The update will also introduce a beta PvP map and a new dungeon that is expected to be different from before, in which the difficulty of the dungeon will increase as players descend further into it. Sounds pretty exciting, doesn’t it? So, who’s looking forward to this update?

Next Guild Wars 2 major content update arriving 15th November

Now it seems that due to Hurricane Sandy, there are many gamers affected by it which at the same time has affected their ability to play Guild Wars 2, which means that they are missing out on the Halloween special. Unsurprisingly many of these gamers have reached out to ArenaNet, asking them if it was possible for them to extend their Shadow of the Mad King Halloween event to make up for “lost time”. Unfortunately for those players, it looks like ArenaNet will not be doing so, but at the same time it was revealed that this was because ArenaNet has a major content updated scheduled for the 15th of November.
