Hello Kitty is like kryptonite to most guys, but here is a Hello Kitty toy that even we can appreciate. This Hello Kitty Mech looks pretty sweet. And pretty deadly.

This new action figure from Sanrio and Bandai is a collaboration between the companies to celebrate their 40th anniversary. This Hello Kitty mech has a bunch of cool features. It has shooting rocket fists, a miniature Hello Kitty operator inside the head and more. The miniature is only 0.9 inches tall, the figure itself is four inches tall.

This toy will arrive next summer in June 2014 for under $50(USD). It looks very menacing, which I like. Maybe it will beat up all of those Hello Kitty plush toys that people have.

I’ve never been a fan of Hello Kitty, the little kitty turns up on some things that are cute and cuddly and others that are just plain bizarre. We’ve seen the kitty adorn everything from adorable flash drives, to creepy chainsaws, to Darth Vader in the past. One of the strangest uses for Hello Kitty I’ve seen comes in the form of a cartoon that’s coming to The Hub Network. The cartoon has a working title called KISS Hello Kitty.

The series will be based on the oddly successful KISS x Hello Kitty line of products from Sanrio. I don’t exactly think KISS when it comes to kids’ entertainment programming. However, many of the cartoons on TV today aren’t aimed at kids in the least.

The cartoon series will follow four KISS x Hello Kitty characters living the rock ‘n roll dream. The series is currently in the initial stages of development with Gene Simmons slated to be one of the executive producers on the show. There is no indication yet when the show will air.

The 2nd anniversary of the catastrophic “Great Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami” that hit northern Japan is approaching (March 11). And I’d like to write about Earthquake kits which are very important in Japan, where massive earthquakes can hit at any time. When they do, like 2 years ago, there can be a loss of electricity, shortages of basic necessities such as clean water, exposure to the elements, etc.

Although he’s still a legend among fans of platform games, Sonic the Hedgehog hasn’t exactly had a great run in recent years. Perhaps some help from another famous mammal could boost his ratings?

This kawaii mashup is the first of Sega and Sanrio’s character collaborations. Sonic Hello Kitty will first be released in Japan, particularly at the reopening of Sega’s Joyopolis amusement park in Tokyo. The hedgehog-cat will then make its way throughout the world by summer next year, along with the other mashups. I’m looking forward to Hangyodon Seaman. Actually I’m not.
