HTC Desire L Headed For Taiwan

HTC Desire L Headed For TaiwanBeleaguered smartphone manufacturer HTC is going through some tough times at the moment, and we would like to see them pull through and emerge from whatever crisis that they are going through at the moment stronger than ever before. Perhaps all of the buzz surrounding the HTC One would help lift the company out from the doldrums by the time they report their earnings for this quarter? Well, here we are with the HTC Desire L, which is a new model under the Desire family that will hit Taiwan in time to come.

The HTC Desire L will feature a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 display at 800 x 480 resolution, in addition to sporting Beats audio processing that ought to make you appreciate those MP3s of yours all over again, accompanied by 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal memory that can be further expanded via a microSD memory card slot, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, a 5-megapixel camera at the back, GPS suppose, and a 1,800mAh battery to keep it going. Clearly an entry level Android smartphone, and will it ever make its way outside of Taiwan?

HTC Desire L revealed in Taiwan 43inch display, lowend specs, nostalgic branding

Despite all of HTC’s talk about unified branding in the West, the company’s model names are still diverse when looked at from a planet-wide perspective. This newest phone, the Desire L, appears to be a Taiwan-destined version of China’s One SU, with the same low-end specs — including a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 SLCD2 display, dual-core 1GHz processor and 5MP camera — but a distinctly pre-One moniker. It’s different strokes for different folks, just as with the Butterfly and Droid DNA — though only a chosen few can boast the added distinction of coming in pink.
