HTC One ‘mini’ leaks showing 4.3-inch 720p display and UltraPixel camera

HTC One 'mini' leaks, with 4.3-inch 720p display and UltraPixel camera

HTC One mini? HTC M4? Whichever moniker you want to give it, that appears to be what we see above. Shown in a bunch of photos on Estonian site forte.delfi.ee the 4.3-inch device seems to corroborate much of what we’ve heard already. Beyond the (slightly) smaller 720p display, the site also claims there’s a dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage and a 4-megapixel shooter complete with UltraPixel technology. The same sources claim an August release date, at around €400, but we’re not clearing our agenda just yet. That’s all we’ve got to go on for now, but it seems 4.3-inch really is the new small.

HTC M4 Press Rendering Leaked

HTC M4 Press Rendering LeakedWe’ve been hearing about the HTC M4 for quite a while now, and thanks to the folks at Phone Arena, they have managed to get their hands on what looks like a leaked press rendering of the upcoming device. To be honest if this really is the phone we can expect, it does look pretty good! In fact we are reminded somewhat of the HTC One with the design and its front-facing speakers, although we guess it would be the internals of the device that some of you guys might be more interested in.

So what kind of specs could we be looking at? Well for those who might be hearing about the HTC M4 for the first time, or who might have forgotten, the phone is expected to be a smaller version of the HTC One with a 4.3” 720p HD display, a dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage on board. The HTC M4 is also expected to utilize the Ultrapixel camera technology on the HTC One, 4G LTE connectivity and will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Rumor also has it that the device could be shipping in Q2 2013.

HTC M4 With Metal Alloy Chassis Expected In June

HTC M4 With Metal Alloy Chassis Expected In June

This Taiwanese manufacturer recently launched the HTC One, its latest flagship Android smartphone. The device has received good reviews up till now and while it is currently in launch phase, HTC reportedly has another device already in the works. This upcoming device is said to be a revision of the HTC one. It is said to have a metal alloy chassis and is expected to be released in June.

HTC faced various supply issues with the One which caused delays in the launch. The company has reportedly selected Catcher Technology as the sole supplier for HTC M4 metal alloy chassis, this has been done to avoid any possible delays during production. According to the report HTC estimates that it will be able to sell 700,000 M4 units in Q2, 2013. The third quarter will see wider availability of this device, sales could potentially double if the device initially performs well in the market. No word on its specs just yet but it seems like HTC is thinking of countering the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini with its M4, Samsung’s device has reportedly been delayed till July.

HTC M4 Might Be HTC First Sans Facebook Home

HTC M4 Might Be HTC First Sans Facebook HomeSo, Facebook Home was announced yesterday morning, where that announcement was accompanied by the unveiling of the HTC First, the first smartphone on the Android front that will feature Facebook Home. Well, we have looked at the HTC M4 in the past, and somehow or rather, the name of this particular smartphone has crept up yet again – this time around, it has something to do with the HTC First. It seems that the HTC M4 could very well be a variant of the HTC First, except that this particular model will lack Facebook Home integration along with a slew of other social networking goodies.

So far, the rumored specifications of the HTC M4 include a dual-core Snapdragon 400 1.2GHz processor, a 4.3″ 720p display, 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and an HTC UltraPixel cam of unknown megapixel count, in addition to a 1.6-megapixel front-facing shooter. The HTC One being given the codename M7 in the past would then clearly point to the HTC M4 being a lower end device, which would fit such a profile nicely.

HTC M4 Caught On Camera

HTC M4 Caught On CameraWord on the street has it that alongside the HTC M7, HTC is also expected to unveil the M4 and G2, and while alleged photos of the M7 have surfaced, not much is known about the M4, at least until now. The folks at Pocket Droid have managed to get their hands on what looks like leaked renderings of the HTC M4 and a quick glance at it certainly gives off the HTC design vibe. Just in case you missed on the previous leaks and rumors about the M4, the device is expected to be a mid-ranged offering by HTC. Rumor has it that it will come with a 4.3” display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, 5MP and 2MP cameras, although at this point in time we’re not sure which version of Android it will be running on (we’re guessing Android 4.1 JB at the very least). In any case hopefully more details will be revealed at HTC’s event on the 19th of February, so check back with us then for the details!
