New HTC One Teaser Seems To Be Camera Related

New HTC One Teaser Seems To Be Camera RelatedEarlier today we managed to catch a glimpse of what looks like the press shot of the upcoming HTC One, aka the HTC M7. We have to admit the device looks pretty sleek, although we can’t help but feel that there are some elements in its design that is reminiscent of the iPhone 5 and the Blackberry Z10. Putting that aside, a new teaser photo by HTC has been released (pictured above) and as you can see, it has something to do with camera lenses. This isn’t the first time that HTC has hinted that the upcoming HTC One will be a camera powerhouse, but as to what exactly does this mean remains to be seen. Will we be merely looking at an increase in megapixel count, or are we looking at a camera that will be able to give the Nokia Lumia 920’s low-light photography a run for its money? We won’t speculate too much for now, but as the green wording on the lenses reveal, we will have to wait until the 19th of February to find out, so check back with us then for the details!

HTC One Launch Date: March 22nd [Rumor]

HTC One Launch Date: March 22nd [Rumor]

A few days back, we reported about the HTC One. It is now rumored that the HTC One will be launched on March 22nd. According to website HTC Source, the phone will be launched on Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T. Information about a possible contract with Verizon has not been given. The phone will have a 32GB version priced at $199 on a standard contract. For all those users who want that extra bit of memory, a 64 GB version will also be made available at a price of $299. It will come out in two colors. Black and White and the second option is rumored to be silver.  The phone will have a metallic casing with stereo speakers in the front.  The specs are: a 4.7 inch 1080p display, a 1.7GHz quad-core CPU, a 13 megapixel camera, 2 GB of RAM with Jelly Beans and Sense 5. We should have more concrete details on February 19th, when HTC is expected to hold a press conference.

HTC One Name Confirmed

HTC One Name ConfirmedAre you still in two minds as to whether you are to call the upcoming flagship device from HTC as the HTC One or the HTC M7? Well, let some advertising make the decision on your behalf, as the recent Champions League soccer match between Celtic of Scotland and Juventus of Italy had electronic signboards that cycled through ads, flashing “HTC One” at a particular time.

Of course, this is in direct contrast to what we have heard from HTC most of the time, where they kept on referring to the HTC M7 (with CEO Peter Chou himself doing the same). Of course, there is always the possibility of the HTC One electronic sign being a kind of general promotion for the entire One series, but since the name HTC One has been rumored for some time already as the Taiwanese company’s new flagship device, it could also mean the HTC M7 will ditch the code name when it hits the market, and being marketed as the HTC One would make it easier to remember (and hopefully, sell).

HTC Wants Us To Get “Elemental” With Latest M7 Tease

HTC Wants Us To Get Elemental With Latest M7 TeaseIn less than a week, HTC is expected to announce the HTC M7, the Taiwanese company’s flagship device of 2013. So far there have only been rumors regarding its specs and nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but check back with us on the 19th of February for the full details. In any case until then, HTC has begun to tease us with videos and photos which we can only assume are related to the phone’s launch, and in the latest photo, HTC has upload a picture of a piece of metal with the company’s logo embossed on it. They also tweeted a message about how all 75% of the elements on the periodic table are metals, followed by a link to the elemental song on YouTube. HTC has favored the use of aluminum in the past for its smartphone offerings, so it is clear that the HTC M7 will feature some sort of metal casing. However with all the hype surrounding its metal postings, could HTC be using a different type of metal for its HTC M7 smartphone? We can’t say for sure, but we are definitely excited! What do you guys think?

HTC One Render Leaked To Give Us a Glimpse At Sense 5

HTC One Render Leaked To Give Us a Glimpse At Sense 5The reveal of the HTC One, or HTC M7 if you didn’t catch the possible name change late last week, has been gaining some steam the last few weeks leading up to its assumed reveal during HTC’s press event next week. It looks like we won’t have to wait until next week’s reveal as a render of the HTC One looks to have made its way to the Web earlier this morning.

The source of the leak was from EvLeaks, who has been known to leak Android info in the past and whose information is often correct. The image was originally posted to Flickr listed as the “HTC One” within its EXIF data, which if you had any doubts of its name change in the past, that little nugget should convince you without any hesitation.

We caught a glimpse of the HTC One’s housing a few weeks ago and both the leaked housing and the render leaked today seem showcase the same device. Although today’s leak also offers a glimpse into the device’s Sense 5.0 as it looks like it’ll have more of a grid-style interface.

HTC M7 Could Be Named HTC One When Released

HTC M7 Could Be Named HTC One When Released

We’re 11 days away from HTC’s big event where we expect the company to unveil its HTC M7, although according to a new rumor, that may not even be what the device may be called when it makes its debut.

According to evleaks, HTC could simply be naming its expected HTC M7 simply to HTC One. HTC currently has a line of HTC One devices like the HTC One X, HTC One S and HTC One V, and considering it plans to deliver one of its most advanced smartphones to date, having it called simply the HTC One makes sense.

If today’s rumor turns out to be true, we’re curious to hear what you think of the name change. We’ve become accustomed to calling this device the HTC M7, although it certainly doesn’t roll off the tongue as well as “HTC One” does. Either way, we’re excited to hear more about the HTC M7 or HTC One in a few weeks if its specs of featuring a 4.7-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor and 4.3 Ultrapixel camera turn out to be true.

HTC M7 Teaser Features Beating Heart

HTC M7 Teaser Features Beating Heart

We’ve been hearing a number of things in regards to HTC’s upcoming M7 Android phone like is ability to take ultrapixel photos instead of megapixels, its already assumed component shortages and we even caught a glimpse of its sweet, sweet housing. But HTC’s latest teaser for the M7 has raised a few questions.

As you can see by the image above, HTC released a teaser that says “ALIVE SOON!” and features a heart that seems to be infused with a circuit board that is pumping blood into the circuitry of whatever it’s connected to. We’re all for human organs being featured in promotional material, but this one seems a bit odd. We would have preferred a silhouette of the M7 or something not so… anatomical?

Either way, HTC has us talking today, which is probably what they aimed for when they created this teaser. We’ll already be at HTC’s event on February 19, so there really was no need to release something like this today, especially since it doesn’t reveal anything but a beating heart on a circuit board.

Verizon Might Get HTC M7 After All

Verizon Might Get HTC M7 After AllWe did talk about how Verizon will be the last among the four major mobile carriers in the US to receive the HTC M7, and perhaps this is due to their commitment to the HTC Droid DNA which has proven to be one of the best smartphones from HTC to date, and recently, we have word that the HTC M7 might not be carried in Verizon stores so soon because the Droid DNA is still relatively new to the market. Heck, the rumor mill added more items to the menu that requires more salt with word that there might just be a Droid DNA+ in tow instead of the HTC M7.

Well, what can we make of it so far? Developer and HTC insider LlabTooFeR did tweet that the Droid DNA+ will share more or less similar hardware specifications as the HTC M7, albeit that it will come with a microSD memory card slot that was missing on the original Droid DNA. Which boggles the mind, as LlabTooFeR touted their sources that the M7 on other carriers will lack a microSD memory card slot. So, will the HTC M7 arrive on Verizon Wireless eventually, considering the rather close, for the lack of a better word, DNA shared between it and the Droid DNA+?

HTC M7 To Face Component Shortages?

HTC M7 To Face Component Shortages? The HTC M7 seems to be making plenty of waves on headlines of different online publications in recent times, which would only bode well for the beleaguered Taiwanese company that has not seen the best quarters in recent memory. Hopefully the HTC M7 will be able to help lift them out from the quagmire, and its hardware specifications that lay on the high end side of things do seem to help shape a positive outlook for the handset’s launch which is set to happen very, very soon.

However, there are whispers that this effort by HTC to get back on track might be derailed, as rumors on the grapevine have it that HTC could be facing a component shortage which will ultimately reduce the number of available units of the HTC M7 when launch day comes. According to Citigroup analyst Kevin Chang, he said that a “low yield rate of some components such as metal casings and antennas,” will impact the number of smartphones that will be shipped in a negative manner. I guess we will just have to adopt a wait and see attitude to figure out whether such speculations are true or not concerning this Ultrapixels handset.
