HTC M8 Picture Leaks Yet Again

HTC M8 Picture Leaks Yet Again

The HTC M8 happens t0 be one of the most highly anticipated smartphones expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in a couple of weeks. There have already been a lot of rumors and leaks about the HTC One successor, and we have already seen a few purported pictures being leaked in the past. Today, once again, yet another HTC M8 picture has leaked online, providing us yet another glimpse at what might possibly be the Taiwanese manufacturer’s next generation smartphone.

This particular HTC M8 picture has been leaked by a Twitter account going by @htcfamily_ru, this source has leaked similar images in the past as well. One rather interesting detail is seen in this image, alongside the top speaker grill to be precise. It appears that the HTC M8 has a notification LED, which is housed between the front camera and speaker. This has not been noticed in previous images. Even though the image itself comes from a Russian Twitter account, it seems to have originated from China. HTC has obviously not confirmed anything as yet about its next generation smartphone, so we have to sit tight until at least MWC 2014 to be absolutely sure of what this device has to offer.

    HTC M8 Mini Specifications Rumored

    HTC M8 Mini Specifications Rumored

HTC is expected to unveil the much awaited successor to its much loved flagship smartphone, the HTC One, later this month. The HTC M8 a.k.a HTC One 2 may be showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, but even before its official unveiling, already there are rumors about its “mini” variant. HTC jumped on this bandwagon last year, launching the HTC One Mini, which looked similar to the flagship but had mid-level specifications. HTC M8 mini will go down the same path, resembling the upcoming flagship with relatively underpowered hardware. Its unlikely that both variants will be unveiled and put on sale at the same time. In the meantime, HTC officials are still denying the M8 existence.

    HTC M8 Release Date & Specs Round-Up – Unofficial

HTC M8 Release Date & Specs Round Up Unofficial

HTC M8 will carry the baton from the all metal HTC One

HTC’s 2013 flagship, the HTC One, was very well received. It was loved for its all metal build, which gave the smartphone a premium feel as well as a leg up on its rivals that stuck with plastic and polycarbonate. The design and build coupled with the software tweaks by HTC really made the One a bonafide high-end Android smartphone. It might not have done wonders for the company’s balance sheets, but it certainly intrigued consumers, who will no doubt be wondering HTC comes up with this year. A few months ago we heard that the company was developing a new flagship under the codename M8. This is believed to be the One’s successor, and its possible that HTC might unveil it at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona next month. Last year, the HTC One was unveiled on February 19th, before being showcased at MWC 2013 a week later.

Rumor: HTC M8 Has On-Screen Buttons

Serial leakster @evleaks has come up with another potential gem about the yet unreleased HTC M8, which is also known as the HTC One+ in other circles, depending on where you get your news sources from. In fact, it has been more or less confirmed over the weekend that the upcoming HTC M8 will feature a display that has 1080 x 1920 resolution, with a very real possibility of it measuring 5” in size. In one of @evleaks’ more recent outings, the HTC M8 might very well hold the honor of being the first HTC smartphone that will feature on-screen buttons, now how about that?

HTC M8 Could Arrive In March This Year

HTC M8 Could Arrive In March This YearThe HTC M8, which is a smartphone that has yet to roll out officially and yet has already been on the receiving end of so many rumors to date, has yet another rumor attached to it – that the HTC M8 could very well arrive later this March, where it will be accompanied by a larger viewing real estate area as well as a twin-sensor UltraPixel camera. Of course, just like how any other decent rumor out there will be proven (or otherwise) in due time, we will just have to sit tight and wait. The HTC M8 happens to be the codename for the next flagship device from HTC, and there is a very real possibility of it being called the One 2 Or Two, depending on which way the wind blows. At the very least, it will share a pretty similar design philosophy as the HTC One, which is a good thing since the HTC One has proven itself to be more than a decent flagship. Unfortunately, it is the company’s baggage that has led to a lower level of adoption for the HTC One than the folks over at HTC would have liked, especially for a flagship.

Alleged HTC M8 Case Hints At Fingerprint Scanner

Alleged HTC M8 Case Hints At Fingerprint ScannerCome MWC 2014, many are expecting HTC to announce the successor to the HTC One from back in 2013, which at the moment has been tentatively known as the HTC M8. Now thanks to a case supposedly designed for the HTC M8, the cutouts in the case has suggested that the HTC M8 could sport a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device, where as you can see in the photo above, has been positioned slightly above the device’s camera. The fingerprint scanner feature was rumored due to the HTC One Max coming with the feature, so it was expected that HTC would be bringing it over to the HTC M8 as well, but since this is not the official reveal, do take it with a grain of salt for now.

Other rumored hardware specs of the HTC M8 includes a 5” Full HD 1920×1080 display and it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU clocked at 2.3GHz. It will also most likely come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage and probably a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The battery of the HTC M8 has also been rumored to be of the 2,900mAh variety and will also come with Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled. Had the HTC M8 been launched in 2013, it would have been a pretty impressive phone, but with reports of phones with octa-core processors and 2K displays, it’s starting to look a little plain. Hopefully we will learn more at MWC 2014, so check back with us then for the details.
