HTC One M8 Mini And M8 Ace Rumored To Be In The WorksThere seems to be a slightly disturbing trend these days with smartphone manufacturers. What typically happens is that they release a flagship smartphone but follow it up later with additional devices that are supposedly based on the flagship smartphone’s design/specs, but are typically less powerful.

We’ve seen Samsung do with the Galaxy S4 which spawned at least 3 variants. Recently LG has also announced the LG G2 Mini which is a smaller and slightly less powerful version of the LG G2, and now if a tweet by @evleaks is to be believed, HTC could be spawning additional HTC One M8 variants as well. HTC One M8′s BoomSound Versus Sony Xperia Z2′s S-Force Surround

We know that companies have been making efforts at improving the sound quality of the speakers coming from our phones, and to be honest they have come a long way from back in the day of monophonic ringtones or polyphonic, to finally being able to use actual MP3s as our ringtones.

Of course that’s well and good but if the speakers suck, we guess what’s the point right? Why even bother in the first place? Thankfully things have changed with efforts from companies like HTC and Sony, with HTC opting for the front-facing stereo BoomSound speakers, while Sony has opted for the S-Force Front Surround system in the Xperia Z2. HTC One (M8): Asia Vs US, Fight!Just in case you were locked up in a cave or were living under a rock somewhere, you would have known that HTC has just released the successor to the HTC One, calling it the HTC One. Yes, that was the sound of a pin dropping, as HTC takes the same route that Apple has trod before in their naming convention, although we do know that the newer model has the code name of the HTC M8. HTC Goes “Blah Blah Blah” In The First HTC One M8 Ad

Frankly, the only way this ad could be more effective is if it were a “let me Google that for you” link. HTC is right here. Dead right. In the first video ad for the new HTC One, Gary Oldman advises viewers to turn to the Internet to learn about the new phone. It simply doesn’t matter what Gary or Robert Downey Jr. tells viewers about the phone. It’s all marketing speak. Worthless. But great… Read More
