HTC One Max Launch Rumored To Be On October 17th

HTC One Max Launch Rumored To Be On October 17th

Rumors about the new HTC phablet have been going around for quite some time now. In fact, it was initially believed that HTC might unveil the device at the IFA trade show in Berlin, but it didn’t do so. Hype surrounding the device has diminished a bit since then, it was aided by chatter that perhaps the new phablet might not come with the quadcore Snapdragon 800 processor as many had hoped. There’s no word as yet from HTC regarding the launch of One Max, but there have been a few rumors about its release date. The latest one suggests that the phablet may arrive on October 17th.

It is believed that HTC will make the One Max announcement on October 17th, the company itself hasn’t confirmed it as yet. As per the rumor, the phablet will come with a price tag of 23,900 NTD in Taiwan, which in U.S. dollar terms is around $810. Though this can’t be taken as a measure of what the One Max will cost in the U.S. Furthermore, it is not known right now exactly when this device will be released outside Taiwan, particularly in the North American and European markets. The One Max is expected to tout a 5.9 inch full 1080p HD display, a fingerprint sensor, 2GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.

More HTC One Max Photos Leaked

More HTC One Max Photos LeakedWhen a particular handset is about to hit the market, you can bet your bottom dollar that leaks concerning the device will start to appear, and some of them would include blurry spy shots as well as hardware specifications. We have seen some leaks of the HTC One Max in the past, and this time around, we have Tenaa of China to reveal more photos about the HTC One Max. Tenaa is the country’s equivalent of the FCC, and it also delivers a new update on what the dual-SIM situation is all about at the moment.

A leak in the past showed off what is located under the back cover of the HTC One Max, and back then, there was no obvious second SIM slot. The Tenaa page also offered a description of the phone (according to machine translation, of course) that “the equipment for the dual card dual standby mobile phone dual-pass.” Well, we are not quite sure what to make of that, but it has been listed as 809d and will offer support for GSM/GPRS and CDMA 1x/CDMA2000 (Rev. A). Will it finally arrive with an older Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor as rumored in the past, or will there be something totally different?

HTC One Max Will Reportedly Have An Old Qualcomm Processor

HTC One Max Will Reportedly Have An Old Qualcomm Processor

HTC is expected to release its new phablet, the much rumored HTC One Max, later this year. There have been a lot of rumors about this device, it is seen in leaked photos almost on a daily basis. Specifications have been leaked as well, but since nothing has been officially confirmed, one can’t really be sure at this point in time. As per the super chatty Taiwanese supply chain, HTC might have to go for an old Qualcomm processor for the One Max apparently because it is unable to secure “sufficient supply” of the company’s high-end Snapdragon 800 quadcore processor.

The rumor has been circulated by infamous trade publication Digitimes, which claims that HTC is being “forced” to opt for old processors due to supply issues. As per the report, HTC One Max might tout the old Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.7GHz quadcore processor.  Other sources cited in the report claim that there’s actually no shortage of Snapdragon 800 processors as Qualcomm has increased production owing to high demand, according to them, HTC is opting for the S4 Pro primarily due to cost concerns. HTC hasn’t commented on these rumors, so they should be taken with a grain of salt. The company is expected to announce HTC One Max next month.

The build up to this smartphone’s release has been accompanied by many a rumor as well as leaked photos, and this time around, we will have additional leaked photos of the alleged HTC One Max that has been compared against Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in terms of size, alongside the Galaxy Note 2. I guess this lends a small indicator as to the kind of hardware platform that it intends to go up against. The HTC One Max does look larger than its supposed rivals, but then again, rumor has it that it will feature a 5.9” display that would make it a wee bit bigger compared to the Galaxy Note 3’s 5.7” display. Other possible hardware configurations of the alleged HTC One Max include 4G connectivity, a removable back cover, a sealed battery, a microSIM slot, as well as a Snapdragon 600 chipset.

Rumor also have it that the HTC One Max will be known as the HTC 8088 in China, where it is tipped to roll out in that part of the world later this October. What about you, would you settle for the HTC One Max or the Galaxy Note 3?

    Alleged HTC One Tablet Spotted

HTC One wowed customers and many critics with its sleek design and all metal body. The design did prove to be a hit, the company also released a mini version of the smartphone with a similar design. It is also expected to release the HTC One Max, a purported phablet that retains the design and build quality of its younger sibling. A new image has surfaced online which shows off a purported tablet that proudly touts the HTC One design, if this is the real deal, it means the company is set on milking its popular design. Screen size is said to be between 8 to 10 inches.

Not much is known about this tablet at this point in time. There’s also the possibility that it might be a knockoff, we’ve already seen a HTC One Max clone even though the company hasn’t even announced that device as yet. The difference between HTC One Max and HTC One Tablet, apart from the display size, are the corners, which are more squared off on the tablet. The phablet is expected to have a 5.9 inch display and corners rounded more than the purported tablet. No information about specifications and features has leaked as yet, we can expect to hear more if this turns out to be a real product that HTC is working on. [Image via Weibo]

HTC One Max Leaked Image Shows Purported Fingerprint Scanner

HTC’s first phablet, codenamed T6 and widely known as the HTC One Max, is yet to be unveiled. There have been many leaks but the company is yet to make an official announcement. We’ve seen leaked pictures of the device and heard about its purported specifications. Its supposed to have a massive 5.9 inch display, which would without a doubt be a major differentiating factor for the One Max. A new image of this device has leaked which shows off a purported fingerprint scanner underneath the camera on the back of the device. The image also shows how the One Max lines up against its two younger siblings, the HTC One and the HTC One Mini.

A lot of upcoming devices have been rumored to come with a fingerprint scanner. We heard rumors about the LG G2, but it didn’t come with this feature. The iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are both rumored to have fingerprint scanning capabilities, though nothing has been confirmed as yet. This is actually the first time we’ve heard of the possibility of HTC One Max coming with such a scanner. Furthermore, the recent non-final One Max press render that was leaked didn’t show off a scanner underneath the camera. A grain of salt is definitely advised when perusing this picture, its a possibility that this fingerprint scanner you see on the back is a fake. [Image via ePrice]

HTC One Max Release Expected In Q4, 2013

HTC One Max Release Expected In Q4, 2013

For quite some time now we have been hearing rumors about HTC’s first ever phablet, the HTC One Max. There have already been many leaks and rumors, the device has even been cloned in China despite the fact that HTC hasn’t even officially announced it yet. No one knows right now when HTC will be making this announcement, if a subtle hint from HTC’s Chief Marketing Officer is taken in to consideration, there’s a possibility that HTC One Max release will take place in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Focus Taiwan reports that HTC CMO Ben Ho says that the company is going to release “a variant of its flagship One series in the fourth quarter.” The only other variant of HTC One that had been rumored is the HTC One Mini, which the company has already released. So all signs point towards what is said to be an enlarged HTC One. The company does seem to be gearing up for a new launch, it has kicked off a new marketing campaign reportedly worth $1 billion with Robert Downey Jr. It has also dropped clues about what the upcoming variant might be. So unless they’ve worked on something completely different, it can be assumed that HTC One Max release is going to take place in Q4, 2013.
