Sony Xperia SP render possibly spied, puts the Xperia Z design in a smaller package

Sony Xperia SP render possibly spied, stuffs Xperia Z design into a smaller package

So you’re enamored with the Xperia Z’s premium look, but not the slightly hand-defying 5-inch screen size. There might not be reason to worry: an apparent press-quality image making the rounds in China shows the Xperia SP (aka Huashan), which now seems to be a more compact expression of Sony’s Omnibalance design. The render doesn’t suggest much on its own besides a familiar software layout, although previous rumors have hinted that it could be a slightly reworked Xperia T with a similar 4.6-inch 720p display, a faster 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 and a scaled back 8-megapixel camera. While there’s nothing here to validate talk of a launch as soon as next week, the existence of a seemingly final press shot implies that there won’t be long to wait for the real deal.

Sony C530X Huashan Spotted In The Wild?

sony c530x huashan Sony C530X Huashan Spotted In The Wild? What you see above could very well be the upcoming Sony C530X, where it is also known by a gamut of other model numbers such as the C5302, C5303, and C5306. As for those who prefer a more clandestine approach, perhaps its code name of HuaShan might do the Sony C530X more justice. What you see above is widely believed to be a leaked image of the Sony C530X Huashan which will boast of LTE connectivity, where it was spotted on the forum at German site USP-Forum.de. Apparently, this image was left by an anonymous user, so the bread crumb trail ends right there.

What do you think of the image which you have seen so far? It sure as heck looks legit, although we cannot rule out the possibility that someone who is very good with a photo or image editing software might have had too much time on their hands, churning out a mock photo of the Sony C530X along the way. The About screen allegedly shows off the Sony C530X being powered by the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, sporting firmware version 12.0.A.0.298 and the 3.4 kernel.

Sony C530X HuaShan To Feature 1.7GHz Processor

huashan Sony C530X HuaShan To Feature 1.7GHz ProcessorSometime in the middle of last month, the Sony C530X (otherwise known as the C5303 as well), which carries the code name HuaShan, was seen in an AnTuTu benchmark, where it was revealed to the world that the HuaShan will carry a 1.7GHz processor after picking up a not half bad score of 16,133 in the benchmark. Other than that, very little else was revealed concerning the smartphone, but its latest outing on GLBenchmark has lifted the curtain a wee bit more.

It seems that other numbers associated with the Sony C530X would also be the C5302 and C5306, where they will come armed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960T chipset alongside a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and Adreno 320 graphics. Not only that, the latest benchmark also revealed that HuaShan will feature a 720 x 1280 display with on-screen touchscreen buttons. No Full HD display here, but it should do pretty well by any standards. Expect the HuaShan to ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice, and we do hope to see it at CES next week.
