I-O DATA is releasing USB3.0 compliant colorful mini USB memory series in late June. The USB memory is ultra small fingertip size (3.2g, W14.5 x D24 x H7.5mm).

The capacity is 8GB or 16GB. It comes with the 3 changeable caps in different colors, and there are 4 different color combinations available for each capacity model.

As a security measure, it’s compatible with the file encryption software “Quick Secure”.

I-O DATA is releasing 3 models (4GB, 8GB, 16GB) of the “ED-HB” series security USB memory stick. They will be available in early July, with the 16GB model only available on request.

There has been USB memory that supports software password authentication, however these sticks cannot be used with an OS that is not compatible with the software. With “ED-HB”, the process of password authentication is very simple – password authentication is done with buttons on the USB memory stick before inserting it into a PC.

I-O DATA is releasing 3 models (2TB, 3TB and 4TB) of DTCP+ compliant network-attached storage – “RECBOX HVL-AT” – in late June.

If you have a “RECBOX HVL-AT”, with your smartphone or PC, you can watch a previously recorded high-definition television program anytime outside of the home in an internet environment.

Regarding smartphones, NTT docomo’s ARROWS NX F-06E (to be released in mid-June) and Disney Mobile on docomo F-07E (to be released in mid0July), and SoftBank’s ARROWS A SoftBank 202F (to be released in late June) are compatible with DTCP+.

To watch with your PC, install free software “DiXiM Digital TV 2013 for I-O DATA” to your PC and pair it up with the NAS.

I-O Data has come out with a new line of SSDs, the SSDN-3V. Coming in 60GB, 120GB and 240GB sizes, these slim 2.5-inch SSDs (7mm thick) are equipped with a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a SandForce 2281 controller and can deliver read and write speeds of up to 306MB/s and 186MB/s, respectively. The SSDN-3V will start start shipping from the end of May and will come bundled with a USB adapter that lets you plug it externally and a 7mm to 9.5mm adapter. Prices unannounced yet. [I-O Data]
