I-O Data is gearing up to unleash their latest LCD monitor namely the LCD-MF271CGBR. Adopting an IPS panel, this new 27-inch LED-backlight monitor supports a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD) and provides 1000:1 contrast ratio, 420 cd/m2 brightness, 8.6ms response time (4.3ms neutral) and 178/178 degree viewing angles. In addition, it also has two built-in 2W stereo speakers and features D-Sub, dual-link DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. Japanese storage company I-O Data has unveiled the new HDCA-UT4.0K external HDD. Available in a 1TB, a 2TB or a 3TB of storage capacity, this external HDD supports USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface and TV DVR capabilities. Measuring 39mm x 185mm x 120mm and weighing 1.1 kg, it can also be mounted using a VESA compliant mounting kit. The I-O Data HDCA-UT4.0K is compatible with most TVs that have USB recording technology, allowing you to record your favorite TV program. In addition, the drive features a power-management mode that powers itself on/off along with the TV. I-O Data will release the HDCA-UT4.0K external HDD later this month for 38,850 Yen ($496). Here we have another upcoming portable DVD drive from I-O Data, the DVRP-U8V. Measuring 140mm x 147mm x 19mm and weighing 300g, this travel-friendly DVD drive has a USB 2.0 connection interface and provides write speeds of 8x for DVD+/-R / +RW, 6x for DVD+/-R DL / -RW, 5x for DVD-RAM, 24x for CD-R and 26x for CD-RW, and read speeds of 8x for DVD+/-R / +RW / -ROM, 6x for DVD+/-R DL / -RW / -ROM DL, 5x for DVD-RAM and 24x for CD, respectively. I-O Data has announced a new line of SDHC Class 10 UHS-I memory cards, the SDH-UT. Coming in both 16GB and 32GB sizes, these ultra fast cards come with Class 10 speed specification and promise to deliver a maximum data transfer rate of 104MB/s. The 16GB and 32GB models will begin shipping from late September, prices unannounced yet. [I-O Data]
