Motorola Atrix HD now on sale at AT&T $100 on contract for LTE, 720p and ICS

Well, lookie here. It didn’t take long for Motorola’s latest Atrix variant to go from unveiled to launched, as the Atrix HD is now on sale at AT&T for a wallet-pleasing $99.99 on contract. Sign the dotted line for two years, and you’ll be getting a 4.5-inch Android superphone, complete with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0), a true 720p display, Kevlar-infused backing, a “splash resistant” casing and an LTE radio. Those who indulge quickly are set to grab a gratis Vehicle Dock for “a limited time,” and you’ll also enjoy the first Moto handset to bring the outfit’s Circle Widget to the homescreen — which is engineered to take owners directly to their AT&T account info, displaying data usage, battery status and more. The phone’s listed right now in AT&T’s smartphone section in Titanium and Modern White, but the link to buy it seems deactivated for the moment. Still, it’s all square to go on sale today, so keep a close eye on the source link if you’re dead-set on an upgrade.

Psst… you can learn more about the Atrix lineage through our original Atrix 4G and Atrix 2 reviews.

Special Edition Transparent Nike+ FuelBand ICE: I Can See Right Through You

It looks like the Nike+ FuelBand is working well for consumers, and people who like to track their physical activities are rejoicing everywhere because nothing sucks more than buying tech that just doesn’t work (like the Jawbone UP). There is a new version of the Nike+ FuelBand coming out, and it’s called ICE.

The Nike+ FuelBand ICE looks pretty spiffy, since it’s transparent and lets you see the guts of this high-tech bracelet. The FuelBand is designed to encourage you to work out, even if it’s just by taking a couple of walks a day, or just performing everyday activities.

The ICE version of the Nike+ FuelBand is will be a limited edition, and will be available starting July 27th in the NikeTown stores in London, San Francisco and New York. It will be available online starting the 12th of August, and will sell for $150(USD).

Death Star Ice Cubes Seem Ridiculously Easy for Rebels to Destroy

I always thought that the fact that the original Death Star had a giant weak spot in the middle that made it blow up was stupid. You’d think they’d design these things to be less susceptible to attack. But instead of improving upon the original design, the Japanese have gone ahead and made a Death Star that can be demolished by simply dropping it on the ground – or exposing it to heat. Yep, what you’re looking at here is the official Death Star ice cube sphere.

The guys at Kotobukiya have created this special round ice tray which can cast a perfect replica of the original Death Star. Just snap the two halves together, pour in your water, and freeze. You’ll soon have your very own icy Death Star, measuring in at about 60mm in diameter (~2.36 inches.) That’s way easier than having to hire a clone army to build one for you.

Kotobukiya plans on releasing the silicone ice mold this August for ¥1050 (~$13 USD), and I’m hopeful they’ll start to show up outside of Japan shortly thereafter. It’s like the Death Star and Hoth got together and had a baby! Isn’t it darling?
