iHome unveils iBT4 Bluetooth boombox with FM receiver

With summer almost here, people all around the country are gearing up for warmer weather and spending time with friends and family at the beach, lake, or poolside. One thing that most people no matter where they’re going want to have handy is music. The easiest way to have your favorite music with you everywhere you go is by using digital tunes on your smartphone or MP3 player and a portable Bluetooth speaker of some sort.

ibt4

iHome has announced a new Bluetooth music playback device called the iBT4. The device is a Bluetooth wireless rechargeable boombox that has an integrated FM radio receiver. The Bluetooth connectivity supports just about any Bluetooth enabled device out there including the iPhone, iPad, Android devices, and more.

The Bluetooth connectivity should have the typical wireless range of 33 feet. The audio device has Reson8 speaker chambers designed for clarity, depth, and power in your music playback. Power comes from an internal lithium-ion battery pack that’s good for up to seven hours of use per charge.

If you get tired of listening to your own music, the device also has a telescoping antenna and a built-in FM radio tuner. The Bluetooth boombox also ships with an AC adapter allowing you to plug in the wall when an outlet is available for continuous listening. The Bluetooth stereo system will support devices that don’t have integrated Bluetooth via a 3.5 mm input port. The iBT4 is available in black, purple, or green for $99.99.

iHome iBT20G Is A Bluetooth FM Clock Radio With USB Charging Port

iHome iBT20G Is A Bluetooth FM Clock Radio With USB Charging Port[CES 2013] We know there are a good majority of you that don’t own an iOS device, so something like iHome’s iDL100G would be completely useless to you with its two Lightning docks and USB dock. We know if you decide you need a stereo FM clock radio, it should be one that just has a USB dock so you can charge your Android, Windows or BlackBerry devices as well as be able to play music. iHome’s IBT20G may just be the clock radio you’ve been looking for.

The iHome iBT20G doesn’t have an iPhone-compatible dock on top of it, instead, the top of the IBT20G is completely free of a dock. If you’d like to have your non-iOS device connected to it for charging and playing music, you can plug it in through its iBT20G USB port.

Just like iHome’s other clock radios, you can expect to be able to listen to FM radio on it and also have the ability to listen to music through bluetooth, which is something you non-iOS device owners will probably appreciate. The IBT20G will be available later this year for $79.

iHome iBT44 Is A Retro Boombox That Doubles As Bluetooth Speaker

iHome iBT44 Is A Retro Boombox That Doubles As Bluetooth Speaker[CES 2013] We’ve covered our fair share of bluetooth speakers, but iHome’s IBT44 has got us all kinds of excited as not only does it ooze with retro goodness with its boom box look, but it also has additional bells and whistles to make it a speaker to keep an eye on when it’s released later this year.

The IBT44 can be treated as a traditional boom box by throwing in six D batteries into it and having its powerful amp, two woofers and 1″ tweeters powered that way, or you can take part in the goodness that is the 2010s and have it charge through USB. There’s a spot on the front of the IBT44 where you can house your mobile device, which the IBT44 will connect to it through bluetooth.

In addition to all of that, the IBT44 also comes with a magnetized remote control and will come in a number of colors, which we know those of you who like to coordinate as much as possible will be happy about. The IBT44 will be available later this year for $199.99.

iHome iDL100G Stereo FM Clock Radio Features Triple Charging Docks

iHome iDL100G Stereo FM Clock Radio Features Triple Charging Docks[CES 2013] iHome’s line of stereo FM clock radios have been one of most popular products as not only do they offer a great-sounding clock radio, but being able to dock your iOS device to charge as well as listen to it has made its radios quite popular. At this year’s CES, iHome is showing off a new stereo FM clock radio that kicks up what previous iHome clock radios have done up a couple of notches.

iHome’s iDL100G is a triple charging stereo FM clock radio, which, as you could probably assume by its description, can charge up to three devices at one time, serving as more of a charging hub than a radio. The iDL100G has two Lightning docks located at the top of the device that can charge your iPhone 5, iPad fourth generation or your iPad Mini. In addition to the two Lightning docks, it also has a universal USB dock that can charge and play audio from legacy devices.

The iDL100G includes an auto-sync feature that syncs it to your iOS device and an aux-in jack if you’d prefer to connect your music-playing device through its 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s currently no release date for the iDL100G, but when it’s made available, expect it to cost $149.99.

iHome iDL100G Lightning Dock hands-on

iHome iDL100G Lightning Dock handson

iHome didn’t waste any time getting word out about its suite of CES-ready wares last week and here at CES Unveiled 2013, we’re getting our first look at the stars of its lineup. Hailed as a first for the company’s product line, the iDL100G and the iDL45 are two docks that support Apple’s new Lightning port, making them attractive options for owners of the iPhone 5 or refreshed iPad and iPod. The triple-charging dock — iHome’s highest-end model — retails for $150 and is fairly attractive, though it doesn’t match the luxury of the Jony Ive-crafted hardware it’s made to service. Up top, there are two Lightning ports to accommodate compatible devices (one dedicated as iPad charging station) and an array of buttons for alarm settings, snooze as well as bedtime, which works with a free iHome+Sleep iOS app. The 3Wx2 speakers aren’t the most robust — we noticed distortion when volume was approaching max — but it seems serviceable as a Bluetooth-enabled FM tuner or iTunes playlist outpost. It’s not currently available, but you can look for it and the lower-end iDL45 dual charging dock to hit retail shelves later this March.

iHome iDL 100 Stereo Clock Dock Charges Three Gadgets at Once

The biggest irritation for many people who moved from an older version of the iPhone to the new iPhone 5 was the smaller Lightning port. This meant that without an expensive and wonky adapter, your existing alarm clock dock and other plug-in accessories wouldn’t work with it. Until recently, if you didn’t want to bother with Apple’s adapter, there haven’t been a lot of other options.

Accessory maker iHome has revealed an interesting gadget that will be on display at CES 2013. The device is an alarm clock docking station called the iDL 100. The most interesting aspect of this device is that it has not one Lightning dock, but two.

That means you can charge two iPhone 5s, or 5th gen iPod Touches at the same time, or your iPhone 5/iPod Touch and your iPad mini. If you still have additional gadgets in the house that you need to charge, it also offers a USB connector. Charging capacity is up to 2.1 amps. In addition to being able to play music from docked iOS devices, the clock radio also has an auxiliary input jack for other devices. One other interesting feature is the time autosync, which ensures your alarm clock’s time matches that of a docked iPhone or iPad.

The expected retail price for the iHome iDL 100 is $149.99(USD), and a release date has yet to be announced.

iHome teases 2013 product line ahead of CES

iHome has been making wide range of accessories for the iPhone and other products for a long time. The company will be on hand at CES 2013 kicking off in a few days to show off its 2013 product line. The 2013 product line offers several Lightning Docks, Bluetooth devices, headphones, and more.

One of the more interesting products, pictured here, is the iDL 100 Triple Charging Stereo FM Clock Radio with two lighting docs and a USB charge/play port supporting the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. The device offers a triple 2.1 amp Charging hub for Apple gadgets. It also has two Lightning docks for charging the iPhone 5 and the iPad mini at the same time. The clock is designed to automatically sync its time to the time on your Apple gadgets when docked.

The device also features an auxiliary input allowing you to play music from devices with 3.5 mm headphone jacks that aren’t dockable. The device is expected to sell for $149.99. The smaller version of the doc with a single Lightning charger is expected to sell for $99.99.

The wireless audio solutions will include the iBT44 Bluetooth Portable FM Stereo with USB Charging. This device provides wireless connectivity to any Bluetooth enabled device and runs on six D batteries for the universal voltage adapter. It has a pair of woofers and a pair of one-inch tweeters with an MSRP of $199.99. The company will also offer the iBT20 Bluetooth Wireless FM Alarm Clock for $79.99 and the iBT88 Bluetooth rechargeable mini stereo speaker.

iHome unveils its CES 2013 lineup, outs Lightning portcompatible docks and others

Joining the fray of other companies ready to jump the pre-CES gun, iHome’s announcing its full product suite just prior to its official Vegas showcase. Billed as a first for the audio solutions outfit, the iDL100 and iDL45 — set to retail for $150 and $100, respectively — are both charging stereo FM clock radio docks that feature Lightning port connectors (two in the case of the former model) to link up with Apple’s latest batch of iOS products, in addition to a sole USB port and auxiliary in jack. The company’s also releasing a slew of Bluetooth-enabled, USB-charging products, the most notable of which are a new $200 “retro boom box,” dubbed the iBT44, that allows for wireless music streaming from any compatible iOS or Android device and the iB85, foldable headphones that incorporate an inbuilt mic and on-ear remote for $100. iHome’s iW3 wireless speakers now shipping

If you’re in the market for a set of speakers that will play nice with Apple’s AirPlay standard, the folks at iHome are now shipping the iW3 set of wireless speakers. It comes with an accompanying app and the speakers themselves will feature SRS WOW HD audio, which is said to deliver a dynamic 3D entertainment experience with rich bass and high frequency clarity, although we guess these claims are definitely subjective depending on the listener. According to iHome the iW3 pair of speakers is relatively easy to setup with the app offering on-screen instructions to guide users through the setup process. The speakers also come with a USB port that supports charging, an IR remote that allows playback control and will be available in black, red or silver. It will set you back $200 and will be available via iHome’s website.
