We first caught a glimpse of iLuv’s MobiAria at this year’s CES, where it played second fiddle to the company’s Qi-certified wireless charger. Now front and center, the Bluetooth speaker is finally available from the company’s website (and select retailers) for $199.99. Like many of the speakers we’ve seen lately, the MobiAria builds in NFC technology to pair compatible devices with a simple tap. Other features include a 3.5mm jack for plugging in your device the old way, as well as a USB charging dock so your phone doesn’t tragically run out of juice while playing your favorite tune.

iLuv outs three more Bluetooth speakers, NFC and Qi-certified wireless charging join the fray
Posted in: Today's ChiliLooking for wireless charging and Bluetooth connectivity in your next speaker dock? If so, iLuv’s most recent CES announcement may be of interest. The MobiRock is the company’s first Bluetooth unit to sport Qi-certified wireless charging pad for re-juicing sans wires while blasting the latest Big Boi album. That’s not all. The unit also features NFC capabilities as well. iLuv also outed the MobiAria: a speaker that streams wirelessly via Bluetooth with NFC lending a hand for easy pairing. A USB charging port and a 3.5mm aux jack for connecting the old fashioned way are also along for the ride. Finally, the Syren is the third member for the trio that sports NFC wares. Touting a rechargeable battery, built-in mic and auxiliary port, the device offers 360-degree sound blasts for those afternoon excursions. The MobiAria will be available in May, while the MobiRock and Syran are slated for a June arrival despite pricing info for the entire lot remaining elusive. For a look at all three, hit the gallery below to take a gander in the order of original mention.

Now that Bluetooth speakers are all the rage, iLuv is looking to add to its lineup of said offerings just before the official start of CES. First, the Mo’Beats HD wireless unit features SRS WOW tech and a 3.5mm aux jack for wired streaming. The gadget also touts a space that will cradle that handset or slate while The Black Keys are blasting. Next, the Bluetooth-wielding MobiCup is designed to get cozy in that beach chair this summer with 360-degree speakers, built-in microphone, top-mounted controls and splash-resistant buttons to keep things dry (to a certain extent, of course). Last but not least, the MobiOut (pictured above) is also splash-resistant and sports a built-in mic, but this unit boasts Jump-start tech that will offer a quick charge in a pinch and deeper bass tones alongside high-fidelity sound. The MobiCup is priced at $59.99 and the MobiOut at $129.99, however there’s no pricing info on the Mo’Beats HD just yet. While the former two speakers will arrive later this month, the latter is scheduled for May. For a look at the entire lot in order of mention, consult the gallery below.

Whew – what a day! For those who missed it, Apple held its big event today, revealing the iPhone 5 and new versions of the of the iPod Touch and the iPod Nano. You can see most of the day’s news in our iPhone 5 event wrap-up and our iPod Touch and Nano wrap-up, but of course, even more news about these new iDevices hit after those event wrap-ups were posted. For instance, we went hands-on with the iPhone 5 and then later with the 5th generation iPod Touch before getting the chance to check out Apple’s new EarPods, which have undergone a redesign just in time for the launch of the iPhone 5. If you’re more of an iPod Nano kind of person, then you’ll be pleased to know that we also have you covered in our hands-on with the 7th generation iPod Nano.
Later on in the day, Apple announced pricing for its new Lightning connector adapters (which can get a little steep in places), and released the iOS 6 Golden Master seed for developers ahead of the operating system’s release on September 19. A full list of iPhone 5 specs made it to the Apple Store this afternoon, and we found out that the iPhone 5 will offer both a GSM and CDMA version. iTunes 10.7 was delivered this afternoon as well, as was a gallery of iLuv’s upcoming iPhone 5 products. Toward the end of the day, Apple released a video featuring Jony Ive and Bob Mansfield giving us an introduction to the iPhone 5, and we ask where the iPhone 5′s rumored NFC functionality went.
As big as Apple’s event was, it wasn’t the only thing worth writing about today. A new report suggests that Windows Phone 8 may not be as far along as we thought, and Foxconn is in the public eye again after an undercover worker published a report on the conditions at the now-famous factory. Google was touting the latest Android numbers today, saying that 500 million Android devices have been activated worldwide.
We actually had quite a few stories about NASA today, with the Mars Orbiter finding signs of dry ice snowfall on the surface of the Red Planet. NASA scientists have viewed a massive impact on the surface of Jupiter, and perhaps most importantly, NASA celebrated the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s historic moon speech. Famous (or infamous, depending on whether or not you work for the RIAA) music sharer Jammie Thomas has lost her appeal, meaning that the court is still making her pay that whopping $220,000 fine, and finally tonight, Microsoft has been awarded a patent for an interesting new technology that makes us immediately think of Star Trek.
That does it for tonight’s Evening Wrap-Up. Be sure to have a look at our Apple portal to catch anything you might have missed from Apple’s presentation, but otherwise, enjoy the rest of your evening!

The folks at iLuv have submitted their collection of iPhone 5 cases and accessories this afternoon, starting what’s certainly going to be a mega-wave of similar releases from companies from all corners of the iOS-loving universe. The iPhone 5 has a display that’s increased in size while the body of the device has gotten thinner and lighter – and taller. And the headphone jack has moved to the bottom of the iPhone right alongside the connector jack which is now much smaller than ever before – and called Lightning! These bits and more have been taken into account with iLuv’s new line – available soon!
What you see above is the iLuv Camera Case – made to hold your iPhone 5 with a special pocket up front for your EarPods earbuds while you’re on the go – otherwise looking like the lens of a camera for your heavy shooters. The folks at iLuv are also bringing on their popular Pulse Case with dual-layers of color and texture, the Mazarin Diamond Cut Hardshell Case, and the Regatta Case with two-layer protection and a high-gloss exterior with TPE on the inside – hardcore! Below you’ll see the iPhone 5 Topog Mesh Softshell Case with a raised topographical lattice design on the back. Made to fit your palm in three lovely colors.
You’ll find Snoopy Vintage Series cases for the iPhone 5 from iLuv as well as Snoopy Glow cases coming up too. The iPhone 5 has some Festival Hardshell cases coming from iLuv and the Mummy & Ninja Silicone Character Case will be popping up soon too. You can find all of these cases at iLuv’s online store immediately if not soon – and they’re also, for the most part, available for the iPhone 4S as well. You can now grab the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 4 for much lower prices than ever before from Apple as the iPhone 5 becomes the new hero – check it out!
Hit up our Apple portal today for more information on the iPhone 5 as details continue to explode forth – also check our iPhone 5 hands-on post for an up close and personal look at the device as it stands today!

The folks at iLuv have revealed their full Galaxy Note II collection of accessories for the new Samsung hero devices. This collection wraps the device, covers the device, and even adds a couple extra pens to the mix so you have options beyond the S-Pen embedded within the phablet. This group is letting you know that in addition to the Samsung-made collection of accessories made for the Galaxy Note II, they have their own set – fully prepped for the Fall season of devices falling out of your pocket!
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is a device that’s slightly enhanced compared to the Galaxy Note already on the market – with a slightly larger display at 5.5-inches, an exterior design that looks much closer to the next generation of Samsung devices, and technology inside that connects quite well to your Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note 10.1, you’ll be bumpin’! Of course you don’t want to be bumpin’ against the ground too much without protection.
iLuv presents first the Pocket Agent – this protective leather case also works as a stand so you can tap away while eating a sandwich – two viewing angles included! The Gelato Shield will have your front face protected from scratches while a soft cover keeps your edges and back safe from harm as well. There’a Clear Protective Film in the works as well that’s just a bit thinner than the Gelato Shield and, like the Shield, is guaranteed not to interfere with your device’s functionality or viewing.
There’s a Glare Free Protective Kit that’s made specifically to allow your touchscreen to work with zero distortion, regardless of the sun blasting it right into your eyeballs. A couple of already-released accessories that’ll work well with your Galaxy Note II are the ePen and the ePen Pro – both will be stylish additions to your device, but wont be working with S-Pen functionality like your built-in S-Pen would. These should be considered mostly fabulous due to their stylish appearance and ability to fit in with your pocket protector.
This whole range will be priced between $12.99 and $44.99 and some are available straight from iLuv’s online store right now. The rest will be popping up closer to the release date for the Galaxy Note II – makes sense!
