Apple has yet to formally announce an event in which they will be launching the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. We have heard the 10^th of September could be a possible date, and that we might even see either device launch on the 20^th. Previously we had also reported that T-Mobile had reportedly blacked out the 20^th-22^nd of September, preventing employees from taking leave presumably to deal with the onslaught of customers coming in to purchase the phone, and now it looks like AT&T has done something similar as well, blocking out the dates, thus further fueling speculation that the 20^th of September could be when the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C are released.

According to the report, AT&T has no plans to launch other “high profile devices”, suggesting that this blackout of dates could indeed be for the iPhones. If the 10^th of September launch date is true, the 20^th of September release does not come as a surprise. Apple typically launches their products about a week after it has been announced as they have done so in the past, so there is no reason to believe otherwise. In any case hopefully Apple will start sending out the invites to their 10^th of September event soon in which the phones’ release date can also be confirmed.

A few weeks ago it was rumored that Apple will host an event on September 10th to launch its new iPhones. Since then there has been no conflicting report, so it is widely believed right now that the company’s iPhone announcement will take place next month on the aforementioned date. As far as the iPads are concerned, Apple is rumored to release the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 later this year, possibly around the holiday season. However, if a new Bloomberg report is to be believed, the company might unveil the new tablets alongside the new iPhones on September 10th.

Apple is expected to launch two iPhones this year, the iPhone 5S and its much rumored budget smartphone, the iPhone 5C. It hasn’t confirmed release plans as yet, it hasn’t even rolled out invites for an event. The Bloomberg report actually focuses about Apple planning to open its first retail store in Tokyo since 2005, but as you read on, you’ll find that it says “The Cupertino, California-based company plans to introduce new versions of its phone and tablet at a Sept. 10 event,” citing a person familiar with the matter, as always. This report also claims that Apple has promised “several more game changers” as it looks to fend off competition from Samsung. The Korean giant is going to release its smartwatch on September 4th. Is this an indication of Apple launching its hotly anticipated iWatch in the future? One can’t say for sure, so lets just wait and see what happens.

The iPhone 5S might be the next flagship smartphone, but this does not mean that there will be no other smartphones from Apple in the pipeline – including the budget oriented iPhone 5C. Apparently, an alleged list of hardware specifications concerning the pocket friendly iPhone 5C has leaked out, although you would do well to bear in mind that what you read here should be taken with a pinch of salt – a really large pinch, too.

So far, the rumored (but most concrete to date) hardware specifications concerning the iPhone 5C would be an unknown dual-core chipset, a 4” display at 1,136 x 640 resolution, 1GB RAM, a choice of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal memory, an 8-megapixel shooter at the back with a 1.2-megapixel camera in front, all crammed into a chassis that measures 124.2mm x 58.4mm x 7.6mm, which tips the scales at 106 grams. It will be powered by iOS 7 with Siri, boasting of support for English, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Italian and Spanish languages. As to the veracity of this particular leaked list, we would not need to wait much too long for the real deal to hit the market, no?

There have already been a lot of rumors about the iPhone 5C, Apple’s much rumored low cost iPhone. The company is expected to unveil this device next month though Apple is yet to confirm its iPhone plans. Previous rumors suggest that iPhone 5C will be offered in multiple colors, five is believed to be the magic number. A new video has been posted on YouTube which shows off all five colors in which the smartphone is expected to be released. The shells or casings seen in this video are identical to the ones that have already been seen time and time again.

White, blue, green, yellow and red are the five colors which are expected to adorn Apple’s newest smartphone. Recently a similar casing was pictured in black, leading many to believe that iPhone 5C will be available in a total of six colors. Various analysts are of the view that the black casing was a fake, and that the smartphone will only be available in these five colors. Nothing has been confirmed as of now, not the colors and not even the moniker. Even if Apple does unveil the low cost iPhone next month, there’s a possibility that it might not call it the iPhone 5C.

Over the past couple of weeks and months, we’ve seen photos of Apple’s alleged upcoming devices, the iPhone 5S (the successor to the iPhone 5) and the iPhone 5C (the low-cost alternative). However thanks to blogger Sonny Dickson, they have managed to get their hands on a handful of new photos of the alleged devices, and this time even comparing them against one another as you can see in the image above. The images obtained by Sonny Dickson more or less corroborate what we have been hearing and seeing the past few months, and in some of the photos it seems that the iPhone 5S pictured even looks like it has a champagne finish (at least from some angles) which according to rumors, would be one of the available finishes.

The iPhone 5C as we can see in the image above is still the same blue finish that we had seen previously, so no surprises there, but it is also expected to be one of the many color choices that customers can choose from. Apple is expected to announce both the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C on the 10^th of September with a possible release date pegged for the 20^th of September for some regions, but until then do take it with a grain of salt for now.
