Nowadays, when you go see a big movie, you assume everything is going to be computer animation and greenscreen, and nothing is real. But a lot of the biggest, craziest movie stunts, past and present, have been entirely practical. Here are some of the most complicated stunt sequences that were created in reality.

This weekend is one comic book fans have been waiting all year for as Iron Man 3 will soon be released in theaters across the U.S. We know you’re probably excited enough to wear something Iron Man related, maybe even taking your 7-foot tall Iron Man figure with you. But true Iron Man fans who happen to have an iPhone 5 will want to also deck out their device with an Iron Man-themed case, and we think this Mark VII Armor Case would be the best to carry around with you.
The iPhone 5 case was modeled after Iron Man’s Mark VII upgraded armor and feels like it’s entirely made of metal. The case features the suit’s power core, which flashes when you have an incoming call, and also has a cover on its left shoulder that can uncover the iPhone’s camera. As with the majority of cool things you see on the Internet, the Mark VII Armor Case is only available in Japan, which means if you order it now, you probably won’t get it in time for the big premier this weekend. On the other hand, you will have it in time for your third or fourth viewing of Iron Man 3.

Iron Man 3 is just a little over one week away from being released to theaters across the U.S., which we’re hoping you’re making a special trip to Japan to experience the film in 4D. If would rather not spend thousands of dollars to watch the film in another country, then how about a few thousand to have a life-size Iron Man figure?
The figure is a reproduction of the Iron Man Mark 42 suit, which will be one of the suits featured in Iron Man 3, and will only cost you $8,500 when you buy it from the folks at Sideshow Collectibles. The figure, which we hesitate to call a statue for how large it is, is over 7 feet tall and is painted with high-gloss automotive paint that helps give it its shine. The Iron Man figure also has LEDs equipped in its eyes, arc reactor, palms and display base to effectively make it a rather large lamp in addition to being a figure. (more…)

3D movies have become increasingly popular as moviegoers have been swarming to movie theaters to place plastic 3D glasses over their peepers to instantly feel like they’re right in the middle of a film. But providing only a 3D experience in films is so late 2000s as a cinema chain in Japan will soon be introducing a 4D movie theater experience.
Japanese cinema chain Korona World will be opening the country’s first full-body, immersive 4D movie theater on April 26. The theaters will be equipped with 4DX technology which adds motion, humidity, aromas, strobes, bubbles and additional effects while its customers are watching a film. Each seat will be able to move in sync with the action on the movie screen, even going as far as to provide jolts to the customer during intense action scenes. (more…)

If you are a fan of the Iron Man series of movies, chances are you probably can’t wait to catch Iron Man 3 upon its release. For those who consider themselves more hardcore fans, the folks at Gameloft have announced the Iron Man 3 game will be making its way onto iOS and Android devices on the 25th of April. From what we can see in the trailer video, it does not look too bad and could even be pretty fun, although I still have a bit of skepticism and see this more as a promotional tool rather than an actual proper game. Then again I could be wrong but in any case, for those interested, the 25th of April is a date you’ll want to mark on your calendars, and in the meantime feel free to check out the trailer in the video above to get an idea of what you might be able to expect.
