Everything Wrong With Iron Man 2

Hot on the heels of pointing out everything wrong with the original Iron Man film, the folks at CinemaSins have passed their fine toothed combs over the sequel, finding a mountain of errors that even a robotic supersuit can’t fix. More »

Iron Man Mk. 42 Life-Size Figure: Iron Statue

Some Iron Man fans are not too keen on his gold-heavy Mark XLII armor, but if you’re absolutely enamored with it Sideshow Collectibles has the ultimate item for you – a life-size replica of the suit.

The armor stands 85″ tall (about 7′) and weighs 105 lbs. It’s finished with automotive paint to give it a glossy look and it has LEDs on its eyes, arc reactor, palms and on the display base.

You’ll need Tony Stark’s wallet to get it, but I think we all expected that. You can pre-order it from Sideshow Collectibles for $8,500 (USD). I wonder if it could be modded into a wearable suit.

Iron Man 3 Mouse: It’s Not the Armor that Makes the Mouse, but the Circuits Inside

If Tony Stark didn’t use gesture and voice commands to operate his computer system, he’d surely use this mouse to tell Jarvis what to do.

The Iron Man 3 mouse is made by Hong Kong’s E-BLUE accessories and is designed to look just like Iron Man’s Mark XIII armored helmet. The shiny red and gold mouse even has light-up LED eyes. The wireless 3-button mouse itself offers 1000dpi resolution, and has a scroll wheel cleverly integrated into the top of Iron Man’s helmet.

Retail price for the Iron Man 3 mouse is 599 Yuan (~$97 USD). No word on when you’ll be able to find this limited-edition mouse outside of Asia, but they’ll probably start popping up on eBay sooner or later.

7-Foot Tall Iron Man Figure Will Make You The Envy Of The World For Just $8,500

7 Foot Tall Iron Man Figure Will Make You The Envy Of The World For Just $8,500

Iron Man 3 is just a  little over one week away from being released to theaters across the U.S., which we’re hoping you’re making a special trip to Japan to experience the film in 4D. If would rather not spend thousands of dollars to watch the film in another country, then how about a few thousand to have a life-size Iron Man figure?

The figure is a reproduction of the Iron Man Mark 42 suit, which will be one of the suits featured in Iron Man 3, and will only cost you $8,500 when you buy it from the folks at Sideshow Collectibles. The figure, which we hesitate to call a statue for how large it is, is over 7 feet tall and is painted with high-gloss automotive paint that helps give it its shine. The Iron Man figure also has LEDs equipped in its eyes, arc reactor, palms and display base to effectively make it a rather large lamp in addition to being a figure. (more…)

Everything Wrong With Iron Man

It’s hard not to be won over by the charms of the original 2008 Iron Man movie. But it’s possible—just possible—that you were so busy appreciating Marvel’s whizzbang treatment and Robert Downey Jr.’s roguish charms that you missed these GIANT GLARING PROBLEMS. More »

Officially Licensed Iron Man Mouse Comes With Light Up Eyes, Arc Reactor Not Available

Officially Licensed Iron Man Mouse Comes With Light Up Eyes, Arc Reactor Not AvailableAre you excited for the upcoming Iron Man 3 movie? We know we are, but whether it will live up to its hype remains to be seen. In the meantime it seems that to capitalize the hype and excitement and anticipation of the movie, Japanese company e-blue has released an officially licensed Iron Man mouse which will no doubt be grabbed up by collectors and fans around the world. The mouse is pretty standard and is a wireless one and requires two AAA batteries to power it. No Arc reactor, unfortunately, but the eyes of the “mask”, or mouse if you prefer, will light up when in use.

For a rather normal mouse, e-blue is pricing it around 699 Yuan which is about $113 when converted. Kind of pricey, no? However for your money, you will be able to get the mouse in a special casing (pictured above), meaning that this mouse is probably more for display purposes rather than actual use. No word on if and when this Iron Man mouse will make its way stateside, but we’re sure collectors will find a way to get their hands on it even if it doesn’t.

See Tony Stark’s Hall of Armors and Be Iron Man at Disneyland Innoventions

Don’t tell Mandarin, but Tony Stark relocated his Hall of Armors to Disneyland’s Innoventions area in Tommorowland for the meantime. But being the carefree dude that he is, Tony is actually letting people into the exhibit. Either that or the security at Disneyland is a lot tougher than I thought.

As you walk through the room, Tony’s virtual butler JARVIS will tell you all about the various armors, including the Mk. XLII that will be featured in the upcoming Iron Man 3. Speaking of armors, you’ll also be able to put on one of his suits through an augmented reality interface. Here’s a brief tour of the exhibit taken by YouTuber mrdaps:

Again, the exhibit will only be up for a limited time, so visit the park ASAP before Tony decides to hide his armor somewhere else.
