Sony Xperia V Gets Jelly Bean Update

Sony Xperia V Gets Jelly Bean UpdateThe Sony Xperia V, otherwise known as the LT25i, has finally received an operating system update which will bump up the version number to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, or at least, that is what we are getting from sentiments on the ground. Just what kind of goodies does the latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update bring to the table? For starters, your firmware version will be upgraded to version 9.1.A.0.490, which is slightly different from firmware number 9.1.A.0.489 which begun to arrive on the Sony Xperia T last week.

Apparently, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update affects a bunch of European countries that will include Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Switzerland. Fret not if you happen to live in those countries, and your Xperia V looks dead as a doornail even when you have tried for the umpteenth time to manually search for the update. These things normally happen in stages, so be patient. Hopefully, it will also fix the sleep of death bug as well.

Samsung Galaxy Note Receiving Android Jelly Bean As Early As March 1

Samsung Galaxy Note Receiving Android Jelly Bean As Early As March 1

Samsung Galaxy Note users have been waiting for the moment when their favorite device will receive Android Jelly Bean. It was confirmed in December the Galaxy Note would be receiving Jelly Bean, but when is the question all Galaxy Note users have been asking since then.

According to a leak on the Samsung Ukraine website, its Galaxy Note is expected to start receiving Android Jelly Bean starting on March 1. That doesn’t necessarily mean you should be checking your Galaxy Note every minute to see if Jelly Bean is available as the chart leaked onto the Samsung Ukraine website may not be offering the exact date when Jelly Bean will be available in the U.S.

Android Jelly Bean releases for additional Samsung Galaxy devices are also mentioned in the leak as Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus owners can expect Jelly Bean to begin rolling out on February 22, while Galaxy Tab 8.9 owners could see Jelly Bean as early as January 24.

Motorola Razr i Gets Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update

razr i jb Motorola Razr i Gets Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update All of the more recent smartphones and tablets that run on the Android platform deserve to have an update released for the operating system to the latest version, and the same can be said for the Motorola Razr i. It seems that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update has just been released for the Motorola Razr i, where it will deliver an expected improvement in performance all round. Just in case you were wondering, the Razr i will run on an Intel processor which is different from the usual Qualcomm-powered devices that we are so used to seeing.

You should take note that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update itself weighs in at around 300MB, which would then make it more suitable for a download over a Wi-Fi connection instead of relying on your data connection. Distribution has already begun in France, but it is tipped to be released across the rest of Europe in due time. Better late than never, I guess, so for those who have already received the Jelly Bean update, how do you find it?

Galaxy Tab 7.7 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Confirmed?

galaxy tab 77 fcc Galaxy Tab 7.7 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Confirmed?Sometimes, the head does not know what the hand is doing, and vice versa. Ever had that kind of experience before whenever you attempt to do something, but realize that your body does not seem to want to respond to the commands sent by the brain? Well, it must also be said that sometimes, the tongue is quicker than the brain, resulting in a potentially damaging situation in terms of relationships, or perhaps the severance of friendships because of a word or phrase loosed without thinking prior. Well, we are not quite sure whether Samsung International has authorized this, but apparently, the folks over at Samsung Thailand have already confirmed that the Galaxy Tab 7.7 will be getting the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update.

Word has it that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (GT-P6800 / GT-P6810) will receive this Jelly Bean update, which translates to a whole lot of new features (Premium Suite, anyone?), and hopefully, a tablet that runs at a faster pace. This ought to get the fair share of disgruntled Galaxy Tab 7.7 owners to end up with a smile on their respective faces.

Sony Xperia Z To Get Android 4.2 Jelly Bean After Launch

xperia z jb Sony Xperia Z To Get Android 4.2 Jelly Bean After LaunchWe came across rather impressed with the Sony Xperia Z at the recently concluded CES 2013, and we think that the rest of the world, too, saw the Sony Xperia Z as a potential “next big thing” where Android-powered smartphones are concerned. If there is one flaw in the handset, it would be the fact that it rolls out with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out of the box, instead of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which would be the latest version. Well, fret not – Sony is here to save the day, and they mentioned that they will make Android 4.2 Jelly Bean available for the Sony Xperia Z right after its launch.

A Sony representative has confirmed this bit of news over a recent Q&A session, and we quote, “Xperia Z launches on JB 4.1, but will receive 4.2 shortly after launch. As always, we’ll share more info on this over the coming weeks on the blog.” The thing is, we still do not know just when the Sony Xperia Z will roll out, although select major UK retailers claim that March would be when it will roll out.

Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 Getting Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update Is Untrue

jb n7000 Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 Getting Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update Is UntrueThere are lies, damned lies, and statistics, and as to where the Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 with the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update stands, it would remain in the first two categories. Originally, news bits were going around touting that users in Poland had already successfully downloaded the update using Samsung’s very own KIES software, and coming with it would be the Premium Suite package of applications that was introduced alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Apart from that, Poland seemed to be the only country of sighting, but since truth always surfaces at the end of the day, this bit of information proved to be nothing more than a misguided rumor, meaning that Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is nowhere to be found for the Samsung Galaxy Note N7000, and the leaked image that you see above are fake.

As for the future, who knows? Something might come out of this and eventually be true one day. In the mean time, we will just play the patience card.

ASUS MeMO Pad Launched [Official]

asus memo pad hero ASUS MeMO Pad Launched [Official]ASUS has just announced that it has launched the MeMO Pad, a 7″ Android tablet priced aggressively at $149 in the U.S market. MeMO Pad runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and offers full-support for Google Play and the Android eco-system, unlike competing affordable tablets from Amazon.

The ASUS MeMO Pad is powered by a VIA VM8950 processor running at 1GHz, which is supplemented by a Mali-400 graphics processor. This graphics processor was used by high-end smartphones just one year ago, so it’s really good for a $149 device.
