GLaDOS Ring: Wear This, You Monster

No, I’m not talking about the “I’m a potato” GLaDOS – that wouldn’t make for a very cool looking ring. But this pre-potato GLaDOS looks swell.
It’s even got the inscription inside “STILL ALIVE…” While the image above shows a lovely full color GLaDOS, keep in mind that this 3D printed ring will come in a solid color. So if you want it to look that awesome, you’ll need to buy it in white and dig out the fine-tip paintbrush. Or you could go for the shiny steel, silver or gold plated versions for some added sparkle.
The GLaDOS ring was designed by QUATRO, and is available from Shapeways. Prices for the ring range from $17.80 to $92(USD), depending on the material you select, and you can order the ring in a variety of sizes – yet another wonder of 3D printing. As a manly man, I’m not big on jewelry. No necklaces here. Well, not unless they were of an eagle or something – with a fresh kill in it’s claws. No rings. Nothing. But I would wear the Man Ring in a heartbeat. It’s the unofficial Swiss Army knife of rings.

Falling in love can be complicated; falling in ‘like’, not so much. Either way, you’ve got various Facebook statuses to choose from (including the infamous “It’s Complicated”) and different ways to express how you feel – one of which is Yeople’s ‘I Like You’ pendant that shows the actual process of liking instead of just the icon itself.

Etsy artist Nastalgame sells plastic jewelry inspired by the hearts from The Legend of Zelda. There’s a necklace, a bracelet, a ring and two different types of earrings. The hearts can also be “broken”, in case you’re not feeling particularly romantic.
For example, the bracelet you see above has two sides:
The hearts on the necklace and the pair of earrings with short chains can literally be broken apart, but the chains will hold up both heart halves. The other pair of earrings on the other hand consists of two halves that match together. But my favorite piece is the ring. Not only does the heart snap in to two pieces, the ring itself can be separated, so you can give one of the halves to someone else. Awwwww.

This isn’t the first time we’ve see geek-themed engagement rings, and I’m fairly certain this won’t be the last either.
You might have heard all about Star Wars creator George Lucas’ engagement with his longtime girlfriend earlier this month. If you’ve been mulling about popping the big question yourself, then here’s one fun engagement ring option you can look into: this his and hers Star Wars ring set.
The rings are made and designed by Chelsea Swank. Aside from sterling silver, you can have the rings made from gold, platinum, and white gold, like the Death Star rings we showed you last week. You can also choose to have the rings adorned with a stone, like the ones you see above, or forego it if you prefer a simpler look.
Even if you’re not planning on getting married anytime soon, then you can use these as promise rings or as boyfriend-and-girlfriend rings even. Because yes, they’re too awesome to miss out, and they might no longer be in stock by the time you actually want to get hitched.
The following symbols are currently available for use on rings: the Jedi Symbol, Death Star, Rebel Alliance, Imperial Cog, and the Boba Fett Chest Symbol. If you have one in mind that’s not on the list, then you can hit Chelsea up with a message and who knows? She might just design your preferred symbol into a ring. Aside from that, you can also make a request to have the rings engraved with a special message.

Store your jewelry and other treasures in the geekiest way possible: in this TARDIS jewelry box. While its space is virtually infinite in Doctor Who’s realm, that doesn’t apply to the TARDIS recreations on Earth. But even though we all have to deal with finite space and compartments, I’m sure this will be more than enough for whatever you want to store inside it.
It might look like a huge drawer in the pictures, but it only measures about 7 1/2 inches tall, while it’s 5 inches wide, and 2 3/4 inches deep.
Some people prefer jewelry boxes that only have one major compartment, but I like the fact that this one has six. This way, I can segregate my jewelry and accessories by category into the different drawers.

If you’re a gamer and want to express your fanaticism without resorting something as obvious as a Space Invaders sweater or Game Boy tube dress, here’s something a little more subtle.
These nifty laser-cut bracelets feature tiny versions of some of gaming’s greatest controllers. There’s everything from the modern classic Xbox 360 controller, to the jumbo-sized Dreamcast controller, and the classic NES and SNES gamepads. Though the original Atari 2600 controllers and Wii-mote are nowhere to be found – presumably due to their atypical shapes.
The bracelets are made by Use Your Digits, and come in either mirrored, black, red or yellow acrylic. The bracelets measure about 9-inches-long and just over 1-inch wide. So unless you’re an Atari fanatic, you can outfit your wrist with one of these Game Controller Bracelets over on Etsy for about $36(USD). If you can’t afford that, you could always just wrap the cord from your old wired joystick around your wrist.

I personally find Lady Gaga to be weird, but I guess embracing our differences is a big part of the image that she’s trying to project to fans and non-fans. It seems like she’s encouraging a whole range of other people, too. I doubt this wacky eyelash jewelry would’ve seen the light of day if it weren’t for her and her eclectic fashion sense.
I’m a true-blue girly-girl at heart but I can’t imagine putting on these unicorn-y eyelash jewelry on my eyelids. These false eyelash accessories are handmade with glass beads and ultra-fine beading wire by Natalie of EyelashJewelry. While I admit that they’re appealing in a very weird way, they also look like they could be pretty uncomfortable to wear.
The unicorn lashes actually sold just a few days ago, but you can check Natalie’s storefront for plenty of other whimsical designs if false eyelashes like this are your thing.
