I’ve always been a big proponent of making insults and insinuations that are both understandable, and bizarre. You don’t want to insult someone in a normal fashion with something old and boring. At the same time, if you have to explain to the person you insulted just what your insult meant, it takes the sting out of the barb.

A new book has turned up called the Shakespeare Insult Generator that lets you insult people using the words of Shakespearean literature. The downside to the book is that if you aren’t insulting an English Lit major, you will probably need to explain to them what the insult means.

The book has pages that are split into three cards. Each of the sections can be mixed and matched until you form the perfect insult. The back of the cards also tell you what the words mean. You can get the book now for $12.95(USD) on ThinkGeek, you pestiferous, hollow-eyed, malignancy.

Iron Man 2 may not have been one of the best Marvel movies made, but it had a lot of nice details and eye candy. Which is great for merchandising. Take the scene on the race track where Tony Stark’s armor comes to life from a suitcase. That was probably the best scene in the movie, so of course you can now buy that suitcase – as a battery pack.

It won’t turn into armor, but this prop replica will power your gadgets. Concept restaurants aren’t anything new, with the more notable ones being the Modern Toilet Restaurant and the Hospitalis hospital-themed diner. However, Carton King brings something entirely new to the table: cardboard.

Housed at the Carton King Creativity Park, everything at the restaurant is made from cardboard packaging material – well, everything except the food, that is. This includes the resto’s tables, chairs, booth walls, tissue holders, signage, bowls, and even the cup holders that hold the paper cups! If anything is damaged, they can simply replace the part with another piece of cardboard, and recycle the damaged piece.

The place was thought up by Huang Fang-liang, who’s the founder of Chin Tang Paperware. He explains the concept simply, saying: “It’s to say that after using something, you can use it again.”

The coolest part is that the park features a gallery of some of the world’s most well-known landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Leaning Tower of Pizza, as well as a “zoo” of sorts that features (you guessed it!) cardboard animals.

As for another advantage of all-carton tableware aside from the recyclable factor: No breakage if you knock anything over. But as for fires, spills, or when the water sprinklers go off – well, that’s another story.

Costume specialist Cospa will be selling a Dragon Ball Z Kai cap with a built-in scouter. You can flip the scouter’s lens up and inside the cap when you’re not assessing opponents. Because if you need a scouter to measure a farmer’s power level, you’re just showing that you’re not confident in your own strength.

Aside from its adjustable dorkiness, the cap is also better than ordinary scouters because it makes it appear like you have a six-pack on your head.

Watch out Ken. Barbie’s packing some steel. Actually Jim Rodda’s Barbie armor is made of biodegradable plastic. Jim originally wanted to print glitter cannons that fit on My Little Pony toys as a birthday gift to his niece, but it proved to be too complicated. Four cups of coffee and a hot shower later, the idea for Barbie armor sprang out of his mind, fully formed.

The field plate armor in the image above and in the video below is one of Jim’s first prototypes. He’s currently designing a parade armor, a more detailed version of the field plate armor that has “filigrees, engravings, gewgaws, gubbinses, and assorted skeuomorphisms.”

Aside from being silly, Jim is also generous. He’s sharing the 3D files for the Athena Makeover Kit, another Barbie costume, on his website.

Pledge at least $5 (USD) on Kickstarter to get the 3D files for the field plate armor as a reward, while a pledge of at least $10 gets you the files for the parade armor. Jim will most likely make those files available after the Kickstarter, but he isn’t planning on selling the printed armor themselves because that would be beyond his means.

If you want to get the printed armor right away, pledge for the higher reward tiers ASAP because Jim probably won’t print anymore of them after his fundraiser ends. Pledge at least $200 to get the field plate armor set and at least $250 to get the parade armor set. This reminds me, I’ve yet to finish Jeanne D’Arc.
