Samsung Electronics has proudly introduced the UD22B 21.6-inch LED square display and NL22B 22-inch transparent display. Both displays are designed for the commercial B2B display market. The Samsung UD22B LED square display uses the company’s environmentally friendly Direct LED backlight technology that generates less heat to reduce power consumption by more than 30 percent compared to existing LCD display technology. The Samsung NL22B transparent display enables images and animations to dynamically interact with the merchandise inside the showcase. Too bad, there is no info on pricing at this moment. iiyama is gearing up to drop their newest touchscreen LCD monitor, the ProLite T1532MSC. Designed for business users, this new 15-inch capacitive multi-touch monitor provides 1024 x 768 native resolution, 500:1 contrast ratio, 225 cd/m2 brightness and 8ms response time. In addition, it also comes with two built-in 1W speakers and has D-Sub, DVI-D and USB connectors. The ProLite T1532MSC will start shipping from August 28th for 85,800 Yen (about $1,092). NEC has unveiled a new IPS monitor to its range. Called the MultiSync LCD-EA224WMi, this new 21.5-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 25,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 14ms GTG response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles. In addition, it also comes with two built-in 1W stereo speakers and features D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. Available in both white and black color options, the MultiSync LCD-EA224WMi will start shipping from September 3rd for unannounced price yet. [NEC]

Here’s a look at another upcoming IPS monitor from EIZO, the FlexScan EV2736W-FS. This new 27-inch LED-backlight monitor supports a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and provides 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 6ms response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles. In addition, it also come with two built-in 1.0W speakers and has DVI-D and DisplayPort connectors. The FlexScan EV2736W-FS will start shipping from October 31st for around 89,800 Yen (about $1,140). Unitcom is preparing to launch their newest LCD monitor ‘UNI-LCD27/WQHD’ for the Japanese market. Adopting an IPS panel, this new 27-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness, 14ms response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles. In addition, it also has two built-in 2W stereo speakers and features DVI, mini D-Sub, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors.
