BlackBerry Q10 With Sprint Branding Spotted

BlackBerry Q10 With Sprint Branding SpottedEarlier this year Sprint announced that they would be carrying the BlackBerry Q10, but not the Z10, although they did not provide any specific dates but rumors of a 30th August launch did surface. Well thanks to a newly leaked photo, the BlackBerry Q10 has been sighted with Sprint’s branding on the phone, suggesting that the phone could be primed and ready for an announcement in the near future.

The rumors also suggest that the phone is currently undergoing testing and it shouldn’t be too long until we get the official word. Given that it is not the end of the month yet, it seems as though the 30th of August rumored launch could very well pan out, although since nothing official has been announced, we suggest you not get your hopes up just yet. In any case other carriers have long offered the Q10 and since Sprint is lacking the BlackBerry Z10 that they would try and get out the Q10 as soon as possible. Either way better late than never, right? So, anyone planning on picking up the BlackBerry Q10 from Sprint upon its launch?

Acer Liquid S2 Revealed In Alleged Leaked Roadmap

Acer Liquid S2 Revealed In Alleged Leaked RoadmapWhile Acer might be known for their Windows tablets and attempts at Windows Phone devices, the company has recently been attempting Android devices of their own, such as the recently announced Acer Liquid Z3 and the Liquid S1 phablet that revealed back in June. While the Liquid S1 phablet has yet to catch on in a big way, it seems that Acer has already been planning its successor and thanks to a recently leaked roadmap, it has been revealed that a certain Acer Liquid S2 could be launched in August.

According to the alleged specs of the Acer Liquid S2, it looks like another phablet device that Acer has up their sleeves. The Liquid S2, based on the leaked roadmap, will sport a 5.98” Full HD IPS display with 16GB of onboard storage, 2GB of RAM, and will be powered by a 2.3GHz processor although its manufacturer remains unknown. The phone is also expected to sport NFC connectivity and while presumably it will run on Android, the roadmap mentions a certain “K OS” which some have taken to mean Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

We’re not sure if the August 2013 launch is accurate, especially since it’s been about two months since the S1 was introduced, but then again there’s not telling if this roadmap is genuine to begin with, so take it with a grain of salt for now.

Alleged Sony Honami Teaser Image Leaked, Points At 4th September Launch

Alleged Sony Honami Teaser Image Leaked, Points At 4th September LaunchThe Sony Honami is certainly no secret, having been spotted in benchmarks and leaked photos, and last we heard it was possible that Sony could be looking to announce the device around IFA, either before or during the event, and thanks to a recently leaked photo, what we are looking at above could very well be a teaser image for the upcoming device, or the event invite for Sony’s press conference. As the image above suggests, the Sony Honami could be announced on the 4th of September in Berlin which is where IFA is taking place. This is an interesting coincidence since Samsung is also rumored to announce their Galaxy Note 3 and their smart watch on the same day as well.

Either way the image above could have easily been photoshopped so there’s no telling if it is real, so be sure to take it with a grain of salt for now. In the meantime we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for more info as we expect Sony will share details as IFA draws closer, but what do you guys think? Is a pre-IFA announcement likely with Sony as well? After all we’re guessing they’re hoping to steal some of the spotlight from Samsung, and what better device than the Honami, right?

Possible BlackBerry 10 Porsche Design Clock UI Spotted

Possible BlackBerry 10 Porsche Design Clock UI SpottedOver the past couple of weeks we’ve seen signs and hints that BlackBerry could be working on a Porsche design phone possibly going by the moniker of P’9982. Well thanks to a forum member over at CrackBerry, xsacha, they have managed to dig through the operating system and revealed some hidden elements of the upcoming device which seems to “confirm” that the P’9982, or whatever it will be called, will sport a rather unique interface. Given that the Porsche design P’9881 had a unique interface compared to other BlackBerry 7 models like the Bold 9900, we guess we wouldn’t be surprised if the same treatment was given to the P’9982 as well.

The image you see above is supposedly that of the UI’s clock dial, which we’re sure BlackBerry users will be well aware that it is different from the current clock dial on BlackBerry 10 devices. It looks like it has been designed using the Porsche font and to a certain extent it looks “classy” and high-end, which is typical of Porsche cars to begin with. There’s no word on when BlackBerry will announce this device, perhaps alongside the A10/Z30? In any case we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info, so check back with us at a later date for the details.

The Evil Within Gameplay Footage Leaked

Earlier this year we reported on a new survival-horror game titled “The Evil Within”, and for those who loved what they heard and saw about the game, we now have a short gameplay video which was taken illegally during the game’s presentation at QuakeCon held in Austin, Texas. The video is less than a minute long and basically shows some of the game mechanics along with some fight scenes, not to mention a rather gory decapitation if you were unlucky enough to be found by one of the monsters in the game. So far the game appears to be shaping up pretty well and Bethesda has also recently released six additional new screenshots of the game (via Gematsu).

For those who are hearing about the game for the first time, The Evil Within is an upcoming survival-horror game developed by Resident Evil’s creator, Shinji Mikami. The game has been described as a “pure” survival-horror game and according to the game’s description, it will be developed to bring players “to the height of tension”. In any case if you have a minute to spare and you want to see what The Evil Within has in store, check out the video above.

BlackBerry Z30 Logo Found In OS Beta Leak

BlackBerry Z30 Logo Found In OS Beta LeakThe BlackBerry A10 is certainly not a secret, especially with all the leaks that we’ve seen so far. However will the device be part of a new A-series of BlackBerry 10 phones, or will it be part of the Z-series? Well there is some speculation that the A10 could be part of the Z-series which means it is likely to have its name changed upon its release, and the Z30 moniker seems like it could be a good fit. The Z10 name was recently spotted by Ofutur in a recent BlackBerry 10 OS beta leak, and while it does not necessarily point to any particular device, some are speculating that it could be the final name for the A10, unless of course BlackBerry is working on a new device called the Z30, in which case we guess BlackBerry fans will have at least two new products to look forward to. The name was spotted in a logo for the device (pictured above), but the exact specifications and the image of the device has yet to be revealed. Either way we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information about the Z30, so be sure to check back with us in the future for more updates!

Alleged Sony Xperia i1 Honami Photo Surfaces, “Confirms” 20MP Camera

Alleged Sony Xperia i1 Honami Photo Surfaces, Confirms 20MP CameraIt seems like Sony’s Honami (or Xperia i1) is as badly kept a secret as Motorola’s Moto X because thanks to newly leaked images showing off the back portion of the phone, it seems that it might be confirmed that the phone will indeed sport a 20MP camera in accordance to the rumors.

As you can see in the image above, the back of the phone shows the camera long with “XX.XMP”, and according to the speculation of some, this would indicate that when the phone is released, the “XX.XMP” would be replaced by the “20.XMP” wording. The reason the device is showing “X” now is probably because it is a prototype and is apparently a pretty common practice in the industry.

In any case there is always the possibility that the image above is fake, and that the “XX.XMP” could be for different-sized sensor and not necessarily 20MP (previous rumors suggested anywhere between 16 to 20MP), but with the Sony Xperia i1 expected to debut at IFA 2013 later this year, we won’t have to wait too long for all the official details!

The camera is expected to begin shipping in September and its rumored price for the body-only is set at around 1,000 EUR, although a formal announcement of the device has yet to be made. BlackBerry 10 Battery Cover Hints At Possible Porsche Edition

BlackBerry 10 Battery Cover Hints At Possible Porsche EditionVietnamese website Tinhte has been pretty good with their leaks and have even uploaded reviews of products that have yet to hit the market, and in a recent forum post, photos of a BlackBerry battery cover were upload that has led to speculation that perhaps BlackBerry could once again be collaborating with Porsche for a Porsche version of a BlackBerry 10 device. According to the description of the battery cover, it is made with genuine leather and even features carbon fiber material on the inside with NFC technology as well, and its design is also somewhat reminiscent of the Porsche P’9881.

Of course it could be a fake, but given that the Porsche P’9881 actually sold pretty well, especially among celebrities, why wouldn’t BlackBerry attempt something similar with a BlackBerry 10 device, right? For those wondering, the Porsche P’9881 was priced at $2,000 and was sold in limited quantities, so we’d hate to think how much a BlackBerry 10 version of the device would cost! What do you guys think? Would you be interested in a Porsche BlackBerry 10 device?

Nokia Lumia 729 For Verizon Alleged Press Rendering Leaked

Nokia Lumia 729 For Verizon Alleged Press Rendering LeakedWhile Nokia’s high-end phones like the Lumia 1020 and the Lumia 925 sport some pretty nice hardware and features, interestingly it is still Nokia’s lower-end offerings like the Lumia 520 that are the best-sellers, appealing to emerging markets where customers want a smartphone but can’t afford more expensive devices like the iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S4. Well if you’re after an affordable Windows Phone handset, thanks to a leaked rendering obtained by WMPoweruser, we are looking at the Lumia 729 which apparently will be a variant of the Lumia 720 destined for Verizon, although the carrier’s branding on the phone seems to be missing.

In any case according to the leaked information, this handset will be placed under the Lumia 928 and the Lumia 822 and while the specs of the device remain unknown, interestingly it has been reported that the handset will feature a PureView camera, although we’re not sure if this will be of the same quality and caliber of the Lumia 1020. The pricing and release date of this alleged device remain unknown for now, but we’ll definitely keep our eyes and ears peeled for more news, so stay tuned for updates!
