According to a rumor we caught wind of back in February, there was talk about BlackBerry working on a device called the “Windermere”. The device itself look pretty standard, although it did have an odd screen aspect ratio, but what made it stand out was the rumors that the keyboard could feature gesture controls.

What this means is that users will be able to swipe on the physical keyboard to perfect certain actions, such as bring up special characters, switch languages, and so on. In any case thanks to a recent leak, it seems like what we might be looking at in the image above could be the display for the BlackBerry Windermere. (more…)

At the moment WhatsApp is pretty much used for sending instant messages, pictures, videos, and voice clips. However if there is one feature missing from WhatsApp it would be voice calling, which is what apps such as Skype, Line, Viber, and even BBM all possess.

Now last we heard it is that WhatsApp could eventually get voice calls. This was revealed during MWC 2014 by WhatsApp’s co-founder, Jan Koum, who suggested that we might be able to expect the feature to be arriving in the second quarter of 2014. (more…)

Back in 2013 when Samsung announced the Galaxy S4, they also revealed that the handset would be getting a companion accessory in the form of the Samsung S Band. This is basically a health tracking band that acts like devices like the Jawbone UP, however the device never made it to the market and apparently Samsung has a newer model in the works.

Thanks to the folks at SamMobile, they have managed to get their hands on several slides for the upcoming product that shows it off in all of its glory. Unlike the Gear Fit which was announced at MWC 2014, the S Band will not pack a display meaning that it acts purely as an accessory for collecting motion data. (more…)

Windows Phone 8.1 is probably an update that many Windows Phone users are looking forward to, especially since it is a major update and one that might be long overdue. The update will bring about various changes and improvements to the operating system, as well as introduce new features.

According to the reports, Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 Update 1 is most likely set for a release in April, although we did note that according to earlier reports, the Microsoft had already signed off on the final build which would suggest that it’s good to go, leading to the possibility that a leaked build could make its way online.

Well sure enough it has. In fact one of the ways Windows 8 users could update their OS to the latest build is by tweaking their registry, but if you’d rather not do that and would rather get your hands on the files themselves, it seems that Microsoft has accidentally leaked the direct links to the files.
