Nokia Lumia 630 Press Rendering Leaked

Nokia Lumia 630 Press Rendering LeakedSo word on the street has it that Nokia could be hosting an event on the 19th of April. It is unclear what Nokia will be announcing, but given that at MWC 2014 the company did not reveal any new Lumia handsets, chances are this event could be where Nokia might make some Windows Phone related announcements.

That being said, we have also heard that there are several Nokia Lumia devices in the works, such as the Lumia 930, 630 “Moneypenny”, and 635. There has also been talks about a certain Nokia “Martini” as well. However while the jury is still out on the rest of the devices, thanks to a recent post by @evleaks, the Nokia Lumia 630’s press rendering has been revealed. (more…)

All New HTC Ones Dual Camera Setup LeakedThe All New HTC One is starting to become one of the worst kept secrets as far as 2014’s smartphones are concerned. Now thanks to a recently leaked photo by the ever reliable @evleaks, who has in the past been pretty spot on with his rumors and leaks, yet another photo of the All New HTC One has surfaced. Well the good news is that if screenshots weren’t enough to do the feature justice, you might be interested to learn that Cortana has since been caught on video and uploaded onto YouTube, courtesy of UnleashThePhones. (more…)

All New HTC One Gets Extensive Review On YouTube

All New HTC One Gets Extensive Review On YouTubeHTC is working on an upcoming flagship phone which will be the successor to last year’s HTC One. So far we’ve seen the device leaked in photos and press renderings, showing off the carriers that the handset could arrive on.

Now we expect the official details along with a list of features to be announced on the 25th of March 2014 where HTC will announce the handset in Beijing, China. We guess in a way it was good that HTC decided to skip an announcement at MWC 2014 since it would have been overshadowed by the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S5. (more…)

All New HTC One For AT&T And Verizon Leaked

All New HTC One For AT&T And Verizon LeakedIt’s starting to seem like the HTC M8 could be one of the worst kept secrets as far as smartphones are concerned in 2014. We’ve seen the device teased on YouTube, seen its photos leaked, and now thanks to recent tweets by @evleaks, it seems that AT&T and Verizon’s version of the handset has been leaked as well.

The handsets itself appear to be similar in design, naturally, the only difference is that AT&T’s model is shown in white/silver, while Verizon’s version is shown in gray/black, and obviously the different carrier logos as well. (more…)

    Nokia Lumia 630 “Moneypenny” Leaked

Nokia Lumia 630 Moneypenny LeakedWe have been hearing about a certain Nokia Lumia 630 and now thanks to a recent post by the ever reliable @evleaks, we now have a glimpse at the upcoming handset. This is actually the first time we are taking a look at the Lumia 630, a handset which in the past has been referred to by its codename, Moneypenny. Unfortunately apart from revealing the handset’s design and some of its potential software features, not much else is known about the Lumia 630 in terms of specs. However what we do know are based on rumors that suggests that the handset will come packing a 4.5-inch display of unknown resolution and that it will also feature dual SIM support.

Now the bad news is that if you were hoping that Nokia might be announcing the Lumia 630 at MWC 2014 which is taking place this week, you’d be out of luck because according to the rumors, MWC for Nokia is all about showing off its Android handset, the Nokia Normandy/Nokia X. This is a highly-anticipated handset despite its rumored lowly specs, mainly because many years ago, Nokia threw all their eggs into the Windows Phone basket, and to be on the cusp of being acquired by Microsoft, releasing an Android handset would definitely be an interesting move.

    Huawei MediaPad X1 Photos Leaked

Huawei MediaPad X1 Photos LeakedWe expect that MWC 2014 will contain a wealth of announcement regarding handsets from manufacturers all around the world, and Huawei is one of them. Based on what we know so far, the company is set to announce a smartwatch, the Ascend P7, any maybe the Huawei Ascend D3. That being said, it seems that we can expect Huawei to unveil the MediaPad X1 whose photo we saw not too long ago pictured alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 where its whopping 7-inch display completely dwarfed the phablet.

Now thanks to additional leaked photos, we are looking at newer pictures of the upcoming phablet where we can get a glimpse at its software, along with an accessory which sort of acts like Samsung’s S View case which will display a special screen when closed. In this case it will display the time. In terms of specs, a recent trip to China’s FAA has revealed that it will pack a quad-core HiSilicon 910 CPU clocked at 1.6GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, a 7-inch 1920×1200 display, and a whopping 6,000mAh battery. It will also come with LTE and telephone capabilities, for those who have no qualms about putting a 7-inch device next to their ear. Either way we hope to learn more at MWC 2014, so check back with us then for the details.

Swipe Keyboard For Windows Phone 8.1 Caught On Video

One of the alleged features of the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update would be a swipe keyboard. It is said to be similar to the Swype keyboard found on Android devices, and now thanks to a video uploaded by Unleash The Phones, a video of the swipe keyboard for Windows Phone has been caught on camera and demonstrated for the entire world to see. Based on what we can see in the video, the swiping functionality appears to be more or less the same as Swype and swiping keyboard feature that’s also available on Android, although in the case of Windows Phone, the trail line is in blue.

We’re not sure if the Windows Phone version is more accurate or intuitive as the Android version, but for Android users switching to Windows Phone and who might be missing the feature, Windows Phone 8.1 is an update to look forward to. For those unfamiliar, the swipe keyboard feature basically lets you move from letter to letter by sliding your finger across the screen, as opposed to tapping individual keys. Some claim that this is a faster way of typing compared to regular typing, and while it does seem fast, it does take some getting used to, although it might come in handy for those times when you might only have one free hand to type with. If you have a minute to, you can check out the keyboard in action in the video above.

Windows Phone 8.1 Icons Reveals Cortana’s Features

Windows Phone 8.1 Icons Reveals Cortanas FeaturesBack in 2013, we had heard the rumors that Microsoft could be developing a voice assistant feature of their own not unlike Siri. The voice assistant would be named Cortana, or at least that’s what the rumors claim. One of the key features is that unlike Siri that needs to be activated by pressing and holding the home button, Cortana will apparently be always-on, meaning that you can just speak to your phone even if it is locked to activate it, much like the Moto X. Now we have been hearing a fair amount about Windows Phone 8.1 these days, and thanks to the SDK and emulator, LiveSino.net has managed to extra an icon set (pictured above) that gives us an idea of some of the features of Cortana.

According to the icon set, some of the features of Cortana includes the ability to inform the user about traffic construction and warnings, provide directions, stock reports, taking notes, activating the Do Not Disturb mode, setting alarms, playing music, scheduling appointments, activating Bluetooth and/or WiFi, and more. We guess these are pretty much the standard features that one might expect from a voice assistant feature. However will Cortana be as responsive as Google Now? Or will it be bungled like how Siri was at launch? If the rumors are to be believed, we might have to wait until July/August to find out.

    Alleged BlackBerry Jakarta/Z3 Render Leaked

Alleged BlackBerry Jakarta/Z3 Render LeakedWe have been hearing about the BlackBerry Jakarta for a while now. The handset is said to be the first of many devices to be made under the BlackBerry-Foxconn banner and is expected to be a budget device aimed at emerging markets, although how exactly it will look like remains to be seen, but what we do know is that it will not feature BlackBerry’s trademark physical QWERTY keyboard, but rather a full touchscreen which is surprising, a good surprise to be honest. That being said, that folks at N4BB have managed to get their hands on what is allegedly the rendering of the BlackBerry Jakarta, which might be known as the BlackBerry Z3 commercially.

As you can seen from the rendering above, the design of the handset looks pretty straightforward and while we cannot confirm the specs of the BlackBerry Z3, we can tell based on its render that it will sport a front-facing and back-facing camera with what appears to be an LED flash. It will also most likely run on the latest version of BlackBerry 10, which at the moment is the recently released BlackBerry 10.2.1. There’s no telling if this is the real deal, but according to the rumors, BlackBerry is expected to make an announcement at MWC 2014, so if you’d like to learn more about the Jakarta/Z3, be sure to check back with us then for the details. In the meantime what do you guys think of the phone? Pretty nicely designed for a supposed budget device, don’t you think?
