Oppo Find 7 Photos Leaked (Again)

Oppo Find 7 Photos Leaked (Again)We have been hearing a lot about Oppo’s upcoming handset, the Oppo Find 7, but until today we still have not received word on when the company will be announce the device. Well thanks to a set of newly leaked photos, the Find 7’s metal frame has once again made an appearance, this time featuring additional objects placed inside of it to give us a better idea of how big it is. The image above shows the metal frame with a Pepsi can in the middle, and given that Oppo had a recent collaboration with Pepsi for the Oppo N1 handset, we doubt this is coincidence. The image above also appears to be an ad of sorts, perhaps advertising its display size, but if any of our readers can read Chinese, let us know in the comments below what the Chinese characters in the image above say.

So far Oppo has released a steady stream of teases about the upcoming device, such as its 2K display and also its display size which is pegged at 5.5”, giving it an incredible amount of pixel density. The rest of the specs are merely rumors for now but hopefully we will be hearing more about the handset soon. Assuming Oppo launches this in the near future, they will be the second handset manufacturer to offer a 2K display, with the Vivo Xplay 3S taking the title of first. Will Oppo announce the handset at CES 2014, or will it be later? Check back with us at a later date to find out!

LG webOS TV Cards User Interface Leaked

LG webOS TV Cards User Interface LeakedAccording to reports, LG will be unveiling their webOS-based smart television come CES 2014. One of the unique aspects of the upcoming device would be its cards interface and thanks to a recently leaked photo from the ever-reliable @evleaks, we now know what we might able to expect from LG next week. Pictured above appears to be the upcoming smart TV from LG running the webOS operating system, and true to the rumors, it looks like the cards interface is present and does give off a rather unique and interesting vibe. Considering that smart TVs these days share a somewhat similar interface to smartphones, which we guess is understandable given the experience that most of us have navigating smartphone, this new UI is a big departure in terms of design.

The leaked interface also shows off apps from YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Skype, assuming of course these apps will be available and weren’t simply throw in there as mockups. As to how well this interface will perform versus the more traditional look remains to be seen, and it will be interesting to see if LG’s take on the new UI is more function than form. Either way we expect we will learn more come CES 2014, so if you’re interested in seeing what LG’s upcoming smart TV and its new user interface has to offer, check back with us then for the details.

Alleged LG Lifetouch Band Photo Leaked

Alleged LG Lifetouch Band Photo LeakedAccording to the rumors, LG could be looking to launch new wearable products come 2014. One of them is allegedly a smartwatch but while LG has not confirmed such a device, they did state that wearable tech products were in the works. Apart from the rumored smartwatch, another rumored LG wearable tech product is said to be a fitness band of sorts, similar to that of the Nike FuelBand SE, Fitibt, or Jawbone Up, and thanks to a newly leaked photo by @evleaks, we could be getting our very first look at the upcoming LG fitness band which is allegedly known as the the LG Lifeband Touch. Based on what we can see, LG’s offering is looking similar to the FuelBand SE and looks to have some kind of display on the surface, either that or it’s just a really glossy material.

The features remain unknown but presumably it will offer the same features found on other fitness bands, such as step counting, distance run, calories burnt, and maybe even a heart rate monitor. It is also unclear as to whether this device will be a standalone device or if it will be like the Samsung Galaxy Gear which at the moment is only compatible with a handful of Samsung’s smartphones, somewhat limiting its use. In any case hopefully more will be known at CES 2014 which is taking place very soon, so do check back with us then for the details.

Huawei Ascend Mate 2 Photos Leaked

Huawei Ascend Mate 2 Photos LeakedEarlier this year, Huawei announced the Ascend Mate smartphone which is why it does not come as a complete surprise to think that Huawei might be looking to introduce a successor in the form of the Ascend Mate 2, which we have seen in leaked photos and certifications. In any case there is a good chance that Huawei could take advantage of CES 2014 to announce the successor of the Ascend Mate but until then, newly leaked photos of the handset has since made its way online, giving us a better glimpse at the device prior to its officially unveiling. The photos (courtesy of Engadget) shows off various angles of the handset which we have to say doesn’t look particularly flashy, but we guess it should get the job done.

As far as specs are concerned, we have only heard the rumors, but if they are to be believed, the device is rumored to sport a 6.1” display and oddly enough will keep its 1280x720p HD resolution, as opposed to upgrading it to Full HD which seems to be the standard these days. Pretty odd given that 2K phones are starting to make their appearance but we guess this is one way to keep costs down. Other rumored specs include a 1.6GHz quad-core processor of Huawei’s own make, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera, with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean running the phone.

We expect Huawei will announce the device in its official capacity at CES 2014, so be sure to check back with us then for the details. In the meantime you can check out our review of the original Ascend Mate to get an idea of what to expect.

Moto G For Verizon Leaked, Could Be Priced At $100

Moto G For Verizon Leaked, Could Be Priced At $100Word has it that Verizon has plans to bring the Motorola Moto G onto their network sometime next year, but unfortunately the exact date and pricing of said handset remains unknown for now. Well according to a recently leaked photo, it seems that while the date of the handset’s launch on Verizon remains unknown, what we might have found out is that the device could be priced at a very affordable $100. This is the price that the handset will cost off-contract, meaning that if you did not want to be tied down to any contract with the carrier, this is one of the options available to you at the moment. Of course since Verizon has not confirmed this themselves so do take it with a grain of salt for now.

The Moto G is Motorola’s latest Android offering and it is the cheaper version of its Moto X handset. The device was launched back in November and while it does not have the most powerful hardware that an Android phone could feature, we guess if the $100 price tag is true, then it is certainly one of the more affordable devices available at the moment. As far as specs are concerned, the Moto G will feature a 4.5” HD display and will pack a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor under its hood. It will be accompanied by 8GB of onboard storage, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Alleged Oppo Find 7′s Metal Frame Leaked

Alleged Oppo Find 7s Metal Frame LeakedOppo has been making the headlines recently and one of the Chinese company’s upcoming handsets is the Oppo Find 7, which we recently found out has been confirmed to feature a 5.5” display with a 2K resolution, making them the second company to release such a device behind the Vivo Xplay 3S. Oppo has been teasing the handset for a while now and while we’re still unsure when the handset will be officially revealed, a leaked photo has started to make its rounds on the internet where it shows off what appears to be the metal frame that will be making its way into the Find 7.

While the specs of the Find 7 have been rumored for a while now, this is the first time we’re getting a glimpse at its metal frame, indicating that Oppo could be turning to more premium materials for the build of the phone, as opposed to using plastic which is common practice amongst most smartphone OEMs. The measurements of the phone confirm that the display is of the 5.5” variety, so at the very least it would seem as though this leaked component is the real deal. Based on what we know so far, the rest of the Find 7’s specs include a 2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB of RAM, and a 16MP Sony Exmor camera on the back, and might possibly come with CyanogenMod preinstalled, similar to the Oppo N1. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but with CES and MWC around the corner, perhaps Oppo will share more details with us then.

Leaked Screenshots Show Tizen’s New Look

Leaked Screenshots Show Tizens New LookTizen is an upcoming mobile operating system by Samsung that is intended to provide an alternative to Android and other mobile operating systems available at the moment. Given that Android is dominating with Apple’s iOS taking the number two spot, safe to say that Tizen had better have something to it that will make it stand out above the rest, meaning that Samsung definitely has their work cut out for them. According to the latest reports and rumors, Tizen is said to be released next year and that a prototype Tizen handset is currently being tested by Korean carriers.

Regardless of what it might be, thanks to a bunch of new screenshots, it would seem that Samsung has given Tizen a very drastic visual overhaul from what we have seen before, something that users might be able to appreciate. These screenshots are courtesy of the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service database, suggesting that they are the real thing. While there’s nothing wrong with how Tizen looked like before, the new look is quite refreshing and more lively and exudes a slightly “warmer” feel to it. There are also elements about it that reminds us of TouchWiz, but then again Samsung did design TouchWiz so we can’t blame them for borrowing some of its elements.

In any case like we said, there’s still no specific timeframe on when Tizen and its accompanying smartphones/ tablets will be released, but what do you guys think of this updated look? Yay or nay?

Leaked Accessory Card “Confirms” Lumia Icon Moniker

Leaked Accessory Card Confirms Lumia Icon MonikerAccording to recent rumors, the upcoming Nokia Lumia 929 for Verizon could be known as the Lumia Icon, but since these are merely rumors, it’s quite hard to tell if they are true. Well according to a leaked photo by @evleaks, it would seem as though the Lumia Icon name is confirmed. This is according to the photo above which is apparently that of an accessory card for Verizon, but unfortunately the image does not resemble anything other than some colored and blurred out rectangles. However this is @evleaks we’re talking about and he has had a pretty stellar track record so far, but at the same time we suppose it is safer to err on caution and take it with a grain of salt for now.

For those hearing about the Lumia 929 a.k.a Lumia Icon, the handset is said to be a smaller version of the Lumia 1520. It is expected to pack the same hardware specs under the hood, but instead of featuring a phablet-sized display, it will feature a more compact 5” display instead. An official launch date for the handset has yet to be announced but if the recent rumors are to be believed, its launch has been delayed until February 2014 which is around MWC 2014, so we guess we won’t have to wait too long to hear the official details.

Moto G For Verizon Leaked Without Carrier’s Branding

Moto G For Verizon Leaked Without Carriers BrandingBack in November, Motorola took the wraps off the Moto G which shared the customizability of the Moto X, except that the device would be a low-end product that is aimed at those looking for a smartphone on the cheap and not worry too much about hardware specs, and with it priced at $179, we find that hard to argue with. The handset is expected to see a launch in Q1 2014 on Verizon’s prepaid network and thanks to a recent image that has been leaked by @evleaks, we can see the device in the image above the interestingly enough seems to be missing Verizon’s branding on it.

We’re sure this is good news to would-be Moto G customers who might not necessarily appreciate having the Verizon brand stamped all over the handset, which can be quite an eyesore, not to mention could decrease its resale value as well. In any case for those who might have forgotten, the Moto G is a 4.5” HD Android smartphone from Motorola, which packs a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor under its hood with 8GB of onboard storage, and will be accompanied by a 5MP rear-facing camera and will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. There will also be a 16GB model that will be priced slightly higher at $199, with both models customizable in terms of its backplate.
