LG G Flex For Sprint Leaked

LG G Flex For Sprint LeakedIt wasn’t too long ago that LG announced the LG G Flex, the company’s answer to Samsung’s Galaxy Round as far as smartphones with flexible displays were concerned. We had heard the LG was planning a global launch that is slated for December and thanks to a recently leaked image by the ever-reliable @evleaks, it seems that what we are looking at above is a press rendering for the device that appears to be headed onto Sprint’s network. It has been expected that the G Flex will make its way onto multiple carriers, so if the rendering above is true, Sprint will be one of them.

So far we have also heard reports that the G Flex could make its way onto the likes of AT&T and T-Mobile as well, thanks to a sighting of the device at the FCC, although none of the major carriers in the US have officially announced the device’s availability yet. The handset has already been released in Korea, unsurprisingly given that LG is a Korean tech company, but it will be interesting to see its reception outside of the Korean market. According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy Round has managed about 10,000 units sold so far, which isn’t that impressive but understandable given the phone’s novelty value, so we can’t wait to see if the LG G Flex will succeed where Samsung didn’t. What do you guys think?

White Nokia Lumia 929 For Verizon Leaked

White Nokia Lumia 929 For Verizon LeakedThe Nokia Lumia 929 is definitely not news to us. The handset has been leaked several times in the past, and last we heard it was supposed to be available on Verizon come 21st of November, but given that we’re already in December, well safe to say that date did not pan out. Well thanks to a newly leaked photo, we now have alleged photos of the Nokia Lumia 929 in white and on the back of the handset (as pictured above), it shows Verizon’s logo, still indicating that the handset will be headed for the carrier.

According to the rumors, the Lumia 929 is apparently the slightly smaller version of the Lumia 1520 and will feature a 5” Full HD 1080p display. It will also be accompanied by 32GB of onboard storage along with a 20MP PureView camera and what we can only presume to be a quad-core chipset from Qualcomm. While it is still a mystery as to when the alleged Lumia 929 will make its debut, word has it that a mid-late December release will be more likely. In anyway take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll definitely keep our eyes peeled for more info. In the meantime who else is excited at the idea of a smaller Lumia 1520 that might be more manageable with one-handed use?

Nokia’s Verizon-bound Lumia 929 shows up again in leaked photo

We’re quickly losing count on how many times we have seen leaks of the Nokia Lumia 929. Still, something tells us Verizon subscribers won’t mind getting as many looks as possible at what’s rumored to be a pretty high-end smartphone. Now, courtesy of a forum member on Windows Phone Central, we’re seeing the Lumia 929 from a slightly different angle than in previous occasions. As a refresher, Nokia’s unannounced handset is rumored to come with a 5-inch, 1080p display, 32GB of built-in storage and a 20-megapixel PureView shooter. Previous reports suggested it could hit Verizon around Thanksgiving, but according to the person behind the most recent leak, this Windows Phone device won’t be official until sometime in mid-to-late December.

Huawei Glory 4 leaks with octa-core chip, 720p display and Android 4.2

It was only a few days ago that we got an early peek at what appears to be Huawei’s Ascend Mate 2. Now, according to our friends over at MyDrivers, it would appear the Chinese company also has a new Glory handset in the works — one which is said to be a planned competitor against the likes of Xiaomi’s Red Rice. Per the report, Huawei intends the Glory 4 to be a budget smartphone that packs a good amount of punch, with features such as MediaTek’s MT6592 chip (aka “the world’s first true octa-core”), 2GB RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The Huawei Glory 4, which could also be known as the Honor in some places, is expected to run Emotion UI 2.0 alongside Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) when it becomes official. Unfortunately, there’s no word on the Glory 4’s screen size, though the recent leak does suggest it’ll be a 720p display onboard.

    Nokia Normandy Leaked

Nokia Normandy LeakedIt seems that Nokia has a new phone in the works and according to the ever reliable @evleaks, its photo has since been revealed and its currently known as the Nokia Normandy, although presumably this is a codename and will have a different name upon its release. What’s interesting is that @evleaks posed the question, “A real Asha. Or Lumia?” According to speculation, this device is supposedly the one that ties the Nokia Lumia Windows Phone handsets together with Nokia’s Asha lineup, which has typically comprised of cheap and relatively low-end devices.

The handset also appears to share a similar design to that of the Nokia Lumia 520 albeit slightly smaller and with its dedicated camera button removed (at least as far as we can tell from the photo). What’s even more telling is how the home button does not sport the Windows Phone logo, as it typically does with Windows Phone devices, suggesting that this could be an Asha handset. In any case the specs of the Nokia Normandy remain unknown for now, but we’ll definitely keep our eyes peeled for more information.

Huawei’s Ascend Mate successor said to feature higher-res display, slightly improved internals

We have seen a number of overly large smartphones come and go since Huawei debuted its Ascend Mate, and it would appear that the company is getting ready to introduce a successor soon. According to recent leaks, the Ascend Mate 2, as it’ll presumably be dubbed, will sport a 6.1-inch display similar to its predecessor but with a higher resolution — namely, 1080p. Internally, Huawei News reports that the next Ascend Mate is set to feature a 1.6GHz, quad-core Kirin910 chip alongside 2GB RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and Android 4.2.2 (with Emotion UI, of course). Obviously, we won’t know the definite specs until the day the device is official, so don’t make any final judgements just yet. For now, treat yourself to some additional leaked pictures at the source link below.

Alleged Galaxy S5 Metal Frame Spotted In Leaked Photo

Alleged Galaxy S5 Metal Frame Spotted In Leaked Photo2014 is the year when Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S5, but apart from that prediction, not much else is known about said device. Rumors have suggested that it could feature a metal frame, and thanks to a recently leaked photo, it seems that the rumors might be true! As you can see in the image above, it shows a frame of a smartphone that is apparently made from metal. According to the folks at Nowhereelse.fr, they claim that this is a component belonging to none other than the Galaxy s5, and based on what we can see, it certainly looks a bit bigger than its predecessor, the Galaxy S4, although we’re not sure by how much.

We have been hearing a fair bit of rumors of the Galaxy S5 for a while now, with the most recent one suggesting that the handset would retain its 5” display but sport a 2,560×1,440 resolution, giving it a pretty high pixel density of 560ppi. There were rumors suggesting a metal body as well, although these rumors were quickly countered with another rumor suggesting that it would still keep its plastic body, but would sport a faux leather back, similar to that of the Galaxy Note 3. Other rumored specs include a 16MP camera with ISOCELL technology and an eye sensor.

New Sony Xperia Z1s Photo Leaked

New Sony Xperia Z1s Photo LeakedThe word on the street is that Sony has a new smartphone in the works known as the Xperia Z1s, which is apparently the international version of the Xperia Z1 f which was launched in Japan back in October. While it remains unknown as to when Sony will announce the new Xperia Z1s for the rest of the world, thanks to newly leaked photos, we now have additional photos of the handset, as pictured above where it can be seen being measured by a ruler and placed beside a coin for size comparison. The design of the device is not too surprising and to be honest there’s really nothing new here as it seems to be more or less the Xperia Z, just shrunken down in size.

As far as its specs are concerned, assuming the device is indeed the international variant of the Xperia Z1 f, we can look forward to a 4.3” 720p HD display, a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, a 20.7MP rear-facing camera, with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean running the show. We would have preferred if it came with Android 4.4 KitKat on board, but hopefully Sony will release an update soon.  Still no word on when the handset will be announced, but given the leaks we’ve seen so far, hopefully it won’t be too long before we hear the official news.

Android 4.4 KitKat For T-Mobile’s Moto X Leaked

Android 4.4 KitKat For T Mobiles Moto X LeakedMoto X users, if you’re looking forward to Android 4.4 KitKat, we guess you’ll have to wait for an official announcement either by Motorola or your respective carriers, but the good news is that for T-Mobile users, a leaked version of Android 4.4 KitKat has made its way online, so if you’re feeling a bit adventurous and can’t be bothered waiting for an announcement and release by Motorola and T-Mobile, you can go ahead and hit up the XDA Developers forum for the download. However given that this is not an official release, chances are the build could have some bugs that have yet to be ironed out, so that’s worth taking into consideration.

It should also be noted that this build requires the user to have an unlocked bootloader and knowledge of how to flash custom ROMs on their Android phones. If all of this sounds new and foreign to you, perhaps you might want to give this ROM a pass until the official update has been released, but for those with experience and the know-how, we guess you can go ahead and check it out! There are some bugs reported, such as issues with call and data, but a wipe can apparently fix it, but apart from that be sure to back up your data before proceeding, lest something happens and you lose everything.

Verizon Ellipsis 7 Tablet Press Rendering Leaked

Verizon Ellipsis 7 Tablet Press Rendering Leaked

Heads up Verizon subscribers, if you’re looking forward to getting your hands on a new tablet, a leak by the ever-reliable @evleakshas revealed a tablet that could soon be launched on the carrier’s network by the name of the Ellipsis 7. Unfortunately apart from the name and the press rendering of the alleged device, not much else is known about the upcoming tablet, such as its price, specs, and availability, although if we had to venture a guess, we reckon the “7” in its name is most likely referring to a 7” display. The press rendering also reveals what appears to be a front-facing camera, so we guess that the tablet will have that feature as well, but apart from that it’s pretty much pure speculation at this point in time.

While Verizon did not comment on the leak of the press rendering, they did confirm that the name has been trademarked at the UTPTO which refers to a “wireless telecommunications device featuring transmission of voice, data, image and video,” which we guess is as close as a confirmation that we will get at this point in time. We’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled for an announcement of the tablet, so if you’re looking for some options as far as Android-based tablets are concerned, check back with us in the near future for more updates.
