Tigdi iPhone Wallet Case Wants to Hold Everything

iPhone wallet cases are a dime a dozen, but from time to time, you come upon a case that seems to actually work really well. That’s the case of the Tidgi Case, which has a bunch of interesting features that distinguish it from other cases.

The Tigdi Case comes in two versions. One comes as an integrated snap-on case and the other is a sleeve with some added features. You’ll find enough room for a couple of cards as well as some cash. The wallet has an elastic band, on which you can store more cards, bills, or small items like a USB flash drive, iPod shuffe, keys, memory cards and more.

The Tidgi Case is being sold via an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. You’ll have to pledge between $26 and $46 (USD) by May 18th for a chance to get your wallet case.

Bellroy’s Passport Sleeve Gives You Easy, Stylish Access to All Your Travel Docs

Leather and Chainmail Beer Koozie: Armor for Your Altbier

Beer is a real man’s drink. That’s why it comes in a can or a glass. It would come in a suit of armor if it were practical to manufacture it that way. But since it’s not, Dougfungus has done it for us. This beer koozie protects your beer from more than just warmth.

With this leather and chainmail armor, beer can stand up to a small sword or axe, maybe even an arrow or two, while it fights back with great taste and scores a critical hit to your sobriety.

Forget those stupid foam beer koozies. This is a man’s koozie for medieval mead. Great work, Dougfungus.

The Gentleman’s Apron: Look Suave, Get Dirty

If you are about to engage in a stereotypically manly pursuit, you’re going to have to get a little dusty, or dirty, or covered in lead-based paint or something. And while you could throw on an old, mustard-stained sweatsuit, you could also preserve a little bit of your dignity with the dashing Gentleman’s Apron. More »

Twelve South Surface Pad iPhone Case: Sticks to Your Phone, No Joke!

iPhone cases are necessary in order to ensure that your precious iPhone doesn’t all scratched up. I’ve had a couple of friends who weren’t using any cases end up with a completely scratched up iPhone. While Twelve South’s earlier BookBook case had an interesting look to it – it was a bit thick for practical use. This new iPhone case from Twelve South is called the Surface Pad, and it’s much thinner than the BookBook case.

It’s made from Napa leather, and it’s lightweight and just 1.7mm thick, meaning that it will easily fit into most pockets without bulking up your phone.

The Surface Pad is supposed to stick to your iPhone thanks to a removable  reusable adhesive substance, and it’s supposed to wrap around your iPhone, protecting both the front and the back.

The case can also be used as a stand in landscape mode, which is also a handy feature. The SurfacePad sells for $34.99(USD) from Twelve South, and is available now.

The Only Case I Would Consider Using With an iPhone

No, you don’t need a damn case for your iPhone 5—but if you have butterfingers and you must use a case, this seems to me like the only acceptable one. The SurfacePad is not only simple and elegant—complementing the iPhone’s design rather than turning it into an ugly hulk or a clear-plastic-wrapped granny sofa—but also has function. And it protects your screen too, unlike 99 percent of the offensively horrible covers out there. More »

Super Mario Leather Belt Puts an Entire Level Around Your Waist

Holding your pants up just got a whole lot geekier. Sure, you could always buy yourself a Super Mario Bros. belt buckle, but wouldn’t you rather have an entire level of your choice on a leather belt? Well, now you can, as long as you are willing to cough up a lot of gold coins.

Leather artist SalukiFeathers is offering just that. Each of these Super Mario belts is painstakingly hand-tooled and the process takes weeks. Now you know why they cost $395(USD).

I’m not sure which level I would choose. The one in the picture, where Mario finally rescues his Princess looks pretty good to me. I suppose it would be a lot cheaper to just get pants that fit. Or overalls, like Mario. However that wouldn’t be nearly as cool as this belt.

Steampunk Arm Guard Has Working Bluetooth Keyboard: Typepunk

There’s just something so retro-futuristic about the idea of giant wrist-worn communicators. In the real world, we pretty much skipped right over these  contraptions and went straight to smartphones. So if you don’t have a Pip-Boy 3000 lying around, here’s the next best thing.

keyboard arm guard

What you’re looking at is a fully-functional wrist-worn Bluetooth keyboard. Its been done up in a sort of Steampunk leather and brass arm guard, which should offer both protection and computing on the go. From the pics, it actually looks like there are two variants of the keyboard floating around – one with square keys (which I prefer), and the other with little round ones.

They were built by Thomas Willeford of Brute Force Studios, and appear to have gotten their start as those cheap little Bluetooth keyboards with the touchpad built in. But that’s where the similarities end. The leather and brass work is quite intricate, and that’s probably why these things are selling for $1200(USD) each.

Mujjo Leather Touchscreen Gloves: Use Your Smartphone With Style This Winter

When it gets cold, it’s not so easy to use your smartphone. Even though you can eventually get it to work after trying a couple of times, eventually you end up frustrated enough to simply pull off your gloves. While there are plenty of touchscreen-enabled gloves on the market these days, most of them are made out of synthetics – which aren’t the warmest or most stylish materials. These leather gloves will allow you to keep your hands toasty warm while using your touchscreen device – and look good doing it.

The Mujjo Leather Touchscreen Gloves are made from Ethiopian lambskin, which has been treated for wind and water resistance. They have “nanotechnology” integrated into the leather to make them touchscreen compatible, emulating the conductivity of human skin. There is also a leather strap on the heel to tighten them around your wrist.

The gloves sell for €129.95 (~$169 USD) from Mujjo.
