The Lego Discovery Center in Westchester County, New York, has unveiled a new masterpiece: a 110-pound, 4,873 brick, 12-foot-tall model of One World Trade Center. It’s spectacular.
Watch Christina Stephens—a practicing occupational therapist and clinical researcher who lost her foot after a crush injury—build herself a working prosthetic leg out of Lego.
Most Lego cities are well-planned models of urban order. But at Brickworld this year, a team of six builders led by Carter Baldwin created this intricate model of urban disorder. Their unique version of Neotokyo borrows from a handful of great cyberpunk novels and movies, from Akira to Neuromancer.
Yesterday a group of idiotic teens destroyed the largest Lego helicopter in the world, the 100,000-piece Erickson Air-Crane. Built by Ryan McNaught over the course of six weeks, the pieces alone are valued at $25,000.
This Han Solo LEGO pixel art from The Sydney Brick Show this past April is mindblowingly cool. If you aren’t familiar with the event, it’s an opportunity for Australian LEGO sculptors bring some of their creations and get together with other fans.
Skels from Geek Crafts shared some of the best things that she saw there and among them is this amazing pixelated Han Solo LEGO sculpture. This entire piece is said to be about 1 meter squared and is comprised of over TWENTY THOUSAND bricks.
Yes, you read that right. Why so many? Because those pieces are the tiny “one-ers” that are always all over your kid’s floor, waiting to stab you in the feet.
Last year we told you about an official Back to the Future LEGO set that was coming down the line. Well, it will arrive on July 18th, but if you are eager to take a look, here it is.
Brick News has scored a first look at the official LEGO set. You might remember the first version proposed through LEGO Cuusoo last year. Well, this official DeLorean has a lot more going on – though it looks quite a bit less like the one in the movie than the originally proposed design.
It will come with Marty McFly and Doc Brown minifigs, and with this set you can build all three versions of the DeLorean from the movies. Pricing for the set will be £35 (~$50 USD). So what do you think?
If you’d rather have a more accurate LEGO DeLorean, you can always head over to Ichiban Toys and order up one of their model kits.

Game of Thrones’ and Lego fans rejoice: Eddard Stark, Arya, the Mother of Dragons—sadly with only one baby dragon—John Snow and Tyrion Lannister can be all yours in precious minifig form for $70, a price that will feel something between the Red Wedding and Theon Greyjoy’s torture to your credit card.
So you have a LEGO purse and LEGO shoes, now all you need is the dress to go with. But this isn’t just an everyday dress – this is a wedding dress, made entirely from LEGO bricks.
The LEGO dress was designed by Japanese artist Rie Hosokai – inspired by his prior work – a similarly-shaped wedding dress made from balloons. It was created for the Piece of Peace LEGO exhibition in Tokyo, Japan.
Unfortunately, it’s completely immobile, so the groom and wedding party will have to come to the bride, but that’s a small price to pay for such an awesome work of LEGO construction and creativity.
