Electronic waste is one of the biggest problems that affects not only America, but also the rest of the world. Most electronics (or the parts that make them up) are full of toxins, and simply throwing them out will have detrimental impacts on the natural world. The good news is that electronics can easily be recycled, and oftentimes, they can also be reused. 

Women’s issues move center-stage once again in the final stretch of this
year’s contentious Presidential campaigns — mainly, due to Richard Mourdock’s and
Todd Akin’s extreme views on women’s rights.  On the left, the creative
genius of HBO’s hit comedy "Girls," Lena Dunham and 1960’s pop icon
Lesley Gore have released political ads that connect women of the 1960s
to first-time female voters of 2012, which provided a needed counterpoint.

Words With Friends is a multi-player word game developed by Zynga. It’s
popularity got a boost from Alex Baldwin’s infamous riff with a
stewardess when he refused to turn off the game during take-off. Similar
to the rules of Scrabble, players can choose to play with a friend or a
random player found online. President Obama has chosen to play the game
with undecided voters using a new word he coined this past week. . .
called "Romnesia"

Every generation has had its own dance craze, from the Charleston of the
1920s, the Jitterbug of the 1940s, the Twist (60s), the Hustle (70s) the Makarena (90s) to even the Chicken Dance still a staple at today’s
wedding receptions. Those that stood the test of time etch a notch into
our global zeitgeist. Such is the case with "Gangnam Style," a song and
dance created and popularized by South Korean Rapper Psy.

Many international universities are fostering students’ natural
curiosity and ingenuity to create new products to help their fellow
citizens. Such is the case at HCM City University of Transport where, as
the name implies, Vietnamese students focus on developing new,
efficient forms of transportation. Recently, they revealed prototypes of
the students’ solar-run scooter and a new battery-operated wheelchair
that can be produced at a much lower cost that those produced in western
countries.
