LittleBigPlanet Karting DLC Cross Compatibility Arrives

LittleBigPlanet Karting DLC Cross Compatibility ArrivesAt last, those who have been avidly waiting for cross compatibility in LittleBigPlanet Karting DLC will need not wait any longer, as a spanking new feature has been added to the game, enabling one to bring your other LBP DLC costumes along for the ride without having to fork out a single cent for it, yo! Not only that, if you have decided to purchase any new costumes down the road, your updated wardrobe will also be available automatically across all of the LittleBigPlanet titles.

This means regardless of which LittleBigPlanet game you want to entertain yourself with, you need not worry about your costume options ever again. If only the real world was like that, and there is no such thing as laundry to sort out, eh? Apart from that, a quartet of new Emergency Services Karts are also being offered, and they are a Police Car, a Fire Truck, an Ambulance, and a Rescue Dinghy. These Karts will remain exclusive to LittleBigPlanet Karting, and you know what that means – the early bird gets the worm.

LittleBigPlanet Karting hits the deck

If you love karting games, then you will be pleased to hear that LittleBigPlanet Karting is finally launching today! This is a game in the making for nearly a couple of years, and it is nice to see another karting title hit the PS3. LittleBigPlanet Karting will see visitors being known as the Hoard, arriving from near and far away on speedy go-karts as they intend to steal Craftworld’s most precious prizes. The onus is now on you to jump into a kart of your choice and save Craftworld from these nasty invaders.

Apart from obviously engaging in the new single player journey, you too, are able to race and battle online in the multiplayer mode. Folks who love customizing their rice rockets in real life can also create and customize your very own levels, bringing your actual street circuit racing experience to the virtual world as your brain spits out bend after nefarious bend.

If you are going to pick up LittleBigPlanet Karting from a Target store in the US, you will be entitled to a free exclusive gift with each purchase. Whenever you purchase LittleBigPlanet Karting at your local Target (the online route is also a viable one), you will be on the receiving end of a Target-branded racer costume and kart as a free download.

Gamers if you’ve enjoyed Sony’s LittleBigPlanet game on your PlayStation 3 and would love to take the game with you on the go, you’re in luck as Sony has officially announced the release of LittleBigPlanet for the Sony PlayStation Vita! It has been officially launched in North America on the PS Vita game card and is also available for purchase and download via PSN.

Sony has also announced an added incentive for gamers who get the game early. Basically if you were to download the game during its first week of release (25th September to 1st October), you will be eligible for a BioShock and Knights of the Old costume packs together with your purchase. We’re not sure if this applies for the retail copy, but more details can be found on Sony’s PlayStation blog.

Final Fantasy VII Finally Gets Remade… In LittleBigPlanet 2

Still waiting for a PS3 port of Final Fantasy VII? Wait some more. Because this is not it. It’s the next best thing though: a remake of the entire game on LittleBigPlanet 2, that includes “all conversations, sound tracks, characters, bosses, and enemies.”

final fantasy vii littlebigplanet 2 remake

The geeky feat was made by one Jamie Colliver, who spent a total of 6 months making the 20 levels needed to remake the PlayStation classic. Jamie even managed to mimic the materia and limit break system. He didn’t have to mimic the costumes though, thanks to the official Final Fantasy VII costume pack. Below is the first of 6 videos showing Colliver playing through the levels.

Bravo. The rest of the videos are on Jamie’s YouTube page. Someone give him an Elgato Game Capture or something so we can see the levels the way they were meant to be seen. Meanwhile those of you who have LBP 2 can look at and play the levels for yourselves. Just look for Jamie’s PSN ID “BRRPPPPPPPPPPPPP” (that’s 13 P’s).

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita goes gold

The summer Olympics might be a distant memory to many of us now, but this does not mean that anything and everything gold is no longer in vogue. No sir, select gamers will be pleased to hear that LittleBigPlanet PS Vita has just gone gold, meaning the game itself should be arriving on the PS Vita platform in due time. All you need to do is sit tight and wait for the official September 25th release date to roll around, and you are good to go. Do bear in mind that those who have placed a pre-order for LittleBigPlanet PS Vita will be able to pick up their fair share of bonus content as well (guess what mom said about being an early bird catching the worm turned out to be true after all).

In addition, the World Peace Day Costume will be re-released onto the PlayStation Store from next week onwards, being free for everyone, albeit made available only for a single week. Again, being early here would always bode well.

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita release date set for September 25th

Fans of the LittleBigPlanet game who are clearly looking forward to its release on the PS Vita platform will be pleased to know that at long last, a concrete release date for this particular title is now available. Basically, those living in North America would do well to pencil in September 25th into their respective calendars, where it is just a matter of weeks before you are able to join Sackboy on his next great adventure as you and him traveling together on the mysterious planet of Carnevalia.

The PS Vita from Sony does have its fair share of unique features when it comes to gaming, allowing you to enjoy the game with completely new experiences, not to mention having the ability to share your levels with the rest of the world regardless of where you are, and whenever you feel like it. Not only that, you can also snap photos that interest you whenever you are out, use them to decorate Sackboy or customize a particular level for that added touch of personalization. Those who want to place a pre-order for the game can still do so, and in the process, be on the receiving end of bonus BioShock or Knights of Old costumes.
