The Nokia Lumia 630 is an upcoming smartphone by Nokia. There’s no word on when Nokia will be unveiling the handset, but with the Finnish company confirming their presence at the Microsoft BUILD conference, some have speculated that is when Nokia will be taking the wraps off the device.

In any case thanks to a recently leaked image, it shows off the Nokia Lumia 630 in real life in China. Based on the image we are looking at, it’s a bit hard to tell that the photo is showing the Nokia Lumia 630 since an entire image of the phone cannot be seen, but according to the leaker, it’s apparently the phone. Microsoft’s BUILD 2014 conference is scheduled to take place between the 2nd of April to the 4th of April. During the event, it is speculated that perhaps Windows Phone 8.1 could be announced, but according to MyNokiaBlog, they are suggesting that not only could Windows Phone 8.1 be announced, but it is possible that the Nokia Lumia 930 and 630 could be announced as well.

They cite a “trusted source” who claims that Microsoft/Nokia could be using the event to launch new Windows Phone handsets. This isn’t too surprising given that during MWC 2014, Nokia did not announce any new Windows Phone handsets. Instead the Finnish company chose to focus their announcements on their Nokia X series of Android handsets as well as some new Asha phones. (more…)

Nokia Lumia 930 And 630 Could Be Announced At BUILD [Rumor] original content from Ubergizmo.

We have been hearing about a certain Nokia Lumia 630 and now thanks to a recent post by the ever reliable @evleaks, we now have a glimpse at the upcoming handset. This is actually the first time we are taking a look at the Lumia 630, a handset which in the past has been referred to by its codename, Moneypenny. Unfortunately apart from revealing the handset’s design and some of its potential software features, not much else is known about the Lumia 630 in terms of specs. However what we do know are based on rumors that suggests that the handset will come packing a 4.5-inch display of unknown resolution and that it will also feature dual SIM support.

Now the bad news is that if you were hoping that Nokia might be announcing the Lumia 630 at MWC 2014 which is taking place this week, you’d be out of luck because according to the rumors, MWC for Nokia is all about showing off its Android handset, the Nokia Normandy/Nokia X. This is a highly-anticipated handset despite its rumored lowly specs, mainly because many years ago, Nokia threw all their eggs into the Windows Phone basket, and to be on the cusp of being acquired by Microsoft, releasing an Android handset would definitely be an interesting move.
