Designed by 0fps, this 3D printed action figure represents the old school pixelated Mario from the original Super Mario Bros. game. Basically anyone who grew up playing these games must have this figure. It sells for $31.18(USD) when printed in color as shown here, but you can also order him in a variety of other materials, including metals.

Now if we can just get a few more characters to go with him, our desktop Mushroom Kingdom will be complete.

Oh, China. You’re such a great nation, but sometimes we’ve got to call you on your ridiculous reinterpretations of trademarked and copyrighted works from other parts of the world. This handheld gaming console is one such example.

This ridiculously confused PVP Station Light 3000 handheld co-opts imagery from Sony, Nintendo, Rovio and Naughty Dog all in one single package. And having played some of these craptacular systems over the years, I’m going to bet it can’t even play most of the games referenced on its box. Or if it can, it does it very badly.

These Super Mario Bros. nesting dolls looks fantastic. Individually, each is a quality work of art. They are a tad dark in theme though. I mean, Bowser seems to have ripped the Princess’ arm off. Heck, Mario is holding a bloody wrench.

Bowser is the biggest one. Open him up and its’a me Mario. Then comes Luigi and finally Goomba. These are the work of William Butler who certainly knows his way around the Mushroom Kingdom – and a paintbrush.

That Goomba looks super mean and Luigi is ready to take him down with a fireball – or just stomp on him. William’s vision of the game is definitely awesome, though I doubt Nintendo will ever release such a gory version.

I would so buy these if they were for sale.

Were you expecting anything else? The silliest of silly games is impossible to beat because a familiar friend has gone villain and acts as the final boss. He’s sick and tired of letting little Flappy fly around in what is clearly his world. Die bird, die.

We all know Nintendo’s stance on mobile, which is basically them saying no to creating games for mobile platforms like iOS or Android. However Nintendo has made concessions in lieu of its recent poor performance which was brought on by the Wii U not selling as well as it should. The company revealed that while they will not be creating games like Mario or Zelda for mobile devices, they are open to the idea of licensing out their characters for use in other ways, and one of those ways could be Mario toys heading to your kid’s Happy Meal soon.

This is thanks to a sighting on McDonalds’ UK website where they were spotted promoting an upcoming Mario Happy Meal. Unfortunately the ad was a bit vague and it wasn’t clear as to what kind of toys are we talking about here. Could we be looking at hard plastic Mario toys? Mini plushies? Keychains? Code for DLCs for the Nintendo 3DS or the Wii U? Well whatever the case is, it is sure to draw the attention of not just children, but adults as well who might be fans of the Mario franchise. In the past we have seen how popular some of these Happy Meal toys can get. In fact there are some out there who make a living by collecting Happy Meal toys and reselling them due to their popularity.
